Black Twitter is confused over a recent statement by Joe Biden during a campaign stop in Tampa. In a video uploaded to Twitter, Biden said the reason he was able to remain “sequestered” in his basement is because “some Black woman was able to stock the grocery shelf.”
The 77-year-old Democratic candidate never explained what he meant by that remark. Many on social media are struggling to understand whether Biden has a personal grocery shopper who happens to be Black.
One Twitter user wrote, “This is what happens when Joe Biden takes questions without a teleprompter.”
