Jennifer Lopez has confirmed that she — not her fiancé Alex Rodriguez — called off her wedding twice in the last year, due to the COVID-19 outbreak ruining her wedding plans.
The couple was planning to tie the knot in Italy over the summer but travel restrictions canceled the nuptials. Now the 51-year-old singer and actress reveals she has postponed yet another ceremony. Friends say the actress/singer wants her 4th wedding to be a star-studded extravaganza.
“You know, we’ve talked about so many different things cause we had to cancel the wedding last year because of COVID, because of the quarantine, and we actually did it twice, which people don’t know, where we had it in different times,” J.Lo tells Access Hollywood.
“First one canceled and then second one canceled as well… We kind of have let it go for a second. I think we just feel like, ‘Let’s just wait it out’. There’s no rush. We’re good. Everything’s cool. It will happen when the time is right. I feel like it’s not a huge priority to go and have a big wedding right now. That’s not what life is all about, life is about just enjoying each other and spending time and really being grateful for all of the things that we have.”
She continued: “Our health, our family, and being able to do all of these great creative things that we are doing and we are just super content right now with that and I think that’s where we should keep it right now.”
Retired baseball star Rodriguez, 45, proposed to the three-time divorcee in March, 2019. Lopez and Marc Anthony share twins, Emme and Maximillian. She divorced Anthony in 2014.
Rodriguez has two daughters, Ella and Natasha, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
