DaBaby and DaniLeigh are back on the market after realizing their mistake and going their separate ways.
DaniLeigh skyrocketed to fame in February 2016, after she posted a cover of “Down in the DM” by rapper Yo Gotti.
In December, the rapper and R&B singer went public with their relationship. But the chemical attraction fizzled after just two months.
While DaBaby was silent on their breakup, DaniLeigh wants her feelings known.
The 26-year-old singer took to Twitter to explain her mistake in detail this week.
“Can’t wait to be disconnected to that situation…. in due time… We all human.. we all make mistakes when we in love and dumb.. but it’s all about growing [for real] .. so I’ll take my lessons and keep goin .. even with all the hate I receive it’s fine… in due time.”
By “hate”, she’s referring to the catfight she had with DaBaby’s baby mama, MeMe, on social media.
MeMe claimed she was never intimated by DaniLeigh’s masculine beauty.
“I’m not intimidated by no b*tch when it comes to a n*gga I was with for real. It ain’t no smoke, it ain’t no nothing, like, honestly that sh*t is nothing new,” she said in a video. “You know how many b*tches I don’t seen come and go? I hate to say it’s normal or it’s regular but I mean, it is… I’m not ever worried about no b*tch.
“Plus, I’m secure within myself. I never needeed validation from no n*gga, so I know what I bring to the table. I know what’s up with me. I don’t know it to have no problem with it [sic].”
DaniLeigh responded, “Lol sad… but ok …”
