Bobby Brown and Keith Sweat are set to compete in the next Verzuz lip-sync battle competition on Thursday, as part of the essence Festival of Culture.

Sweat, 59, and Brown, 52, will take turns lip-syncing to their biggest hits, and fans will decide who came out on top.

Music producers Swizz Beats and Timbaland created the Verzuz battle competition to keep fans occupied during the pandemic lockdowns last year.

Bobby Brown was an original member of New Edition from 1981 until he went solo in 1985. His solo hits include “Don’t Be Cruel”, “My Prerogative”, and “Every Little Step.”

The Verzuz will take place on Thursday, July 1, at 5 p.m. PT, 8 p.m. ET @ FITE on Essence.com.
