Megan Thee Scholar is influencing young stars to elevate themselves and take more responsibility for their public image.
The 26-year-old rapper, who was born Megan Pete, graduated summa cum laude from TSU university over the weekend.
Other stars who look up to Megan — including Chloe Bailey — are taking stock of their own public image — and making changes.
Chloe sat down with Charlamagne the god to explain why she erased her provocative lollipop video from Twitter.
In the video, Chloe wore sexy lingerie, licked a lollipop seductively, and thanked her fans for supporting her career.
Th 23-year-old singer said she is a grown woman now and she should take more responsibility for how she’s perceived.
She said the reactions to her video didn’t affect her at first.
“You know, honestly in the beginning it didn’t affect me. I’m human. Of course, it affects me sometimes. But the reason why I deleted it, wasn’t because of what people were saying. It’s just — I didn’t want people just going to my page and just seeing that. Social media is whatever. I’m 23, I’m a grown woman. And I think it’s so cool how we can find ourselves. And I’m finding myself right now and figuring out what serves me best. I’m just doing it under a microscope while all of you all get to do it without everyone watching.”
Chloe is one half of the singing duo Chloe and Halle. The sisters are best known for being Beyonce‘s proteges.
