Netflix held a special screening for Queen Latifah‘s new thriller, End of the Road on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
Latifah stars as Brenda, a single mom who takes her family on a cross-country road trip through the desert to start a new life after losing her job.
A simple road trip turns into a near horrifying experience when they become targets of a killer after witnessing a murder.
Newcomers Mychala Faith Lee and Shaun Dixon portray Latifah’s adorable kids. Rap mogul Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges plays her brother Reggie.
End of the Road was produced by Tracey Edmonds and co-produced by her 2 sons, Brandon and Dylan Michael Edmonds. Their father is singer/songwriter Babyface.
End of the Road is Millicent Shelton‘s first feature film directorial debut. Shelton (right) got her start as a wardrobe production assistant on the Spike Lee film Do the Right Thing.
She went on to direct popular TV shows including Everybody Hates Chris, Girlfriends, The Walking Dead, The Bernie Mac Show, and episodes of the teen drama TV series 90210.
Shelton also directed music videos for Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, Aaliyah, CeCe Peniston and Salt-N-Pepa.
