It looks like the bad economy has claimed yet another casualty. According to industry insiders, TAGS Boutique, owned by Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kandi Burruss and her business partner Hortense Chin, will be closing its doors for good soon.
Friends say sales of affordable clothing and accessories at TAGS aren’t brisk enough to keep the doors open. This, despite the fact that Kandi Burrus, who is listed as the CEO on the business license, is supposedly the most popular cast member on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
It seems Kandi’s popularity isn’t translating to sales at the cash register in her shop or in the record stores. It probably wouldn’t matter even if her fans wanted to support her. Customers complain that TAGS is rarely open during business hours and phone calls to the boutique routinely go unanswered.
Is this any way to run a business?
One frustrated customer even took to her Twitter account to inquire what was going on:
TAGS, which opened late last year, is located at 4500 West Village Place in Smyrna, Georgia. When I spoke by phone to Kandi Burrus a week before the Grand Opening, she didn’t know the phone number or the address to the shop so I could post the info for my readers.
What business woman doesn’t know the phone number and address to her own business? Mind you, TAGS was already open for business a month before the Grand Opening.
In fact, Kandi had to call her business partner to get the phone number and address to the store because the info wasn’t stored in her cell phone. Right then I had my suspicions that the business wouldn’t do well.
I also hear through the grapevine that Kandi’s business partner isn’t too thrilled with Kandi who spends more time on the social networking site Twitter.com promoting her Internet video stream talk show than she does promoting the shop.
Wow, I thought a poster on here had shopped there before? Maybe she was just the spokesperson and not really invested in the business…..
Morning
I went to the shop to get the scarf she on in these pics but they were sold out! I was
I LUV me a fly scarf
Was looking forward to picking up some pieces for Spring.
Betta luck next time Kandi
awww thats unfortunate.
Good morning all! I guess Kandi doesn’t have the business mind we thought she had.
That’s how these things go. Here today, gone tomorrow, Has anyone been by the shop recently?
shunda Says:
Good morning all! I guess Kandi doesn’t have the business mind we thought she had.
**************************************************
I think she has stock in Twitter.com the way she’s stays on it 24/7.
Look at you Sandra, being messy early in the morning. I love it!
perhaps Kandi has been swept up by the limelight. she better learn from fantasia and get over it … FAST!
Haha! Let me google what that stock is going for these days. She does stay on Twitter a lot.
Well maybe she’ll send a tweet about the Going out of Business sale to her followers?
Sandra I planned on going to her job next mth after I got my bonus from work to pick up some pieces for Spring. There is another lil boutique in that plaza guess I will have to go there instead.
Hey Shunda *waves* Did you find a new gig?
Well that is horrible. Hopefully they can turn this around and remain open. I hate to see a black owned business shut its doors so soon.
its doesnt matter to me her shop is not in dallas!
Poor Kandi, first she loses her finace’ and now she loses her business. Is Twitter that addictive that you can’t stay off of it to take care of your business? Do they have a Twitter Anonymous like they have AA?
Kandi: *stands up*, “Hi, I’m Kandi and I’m addicted to Twitter”
TA: “Hi Kandi!”
Damn shame…
Good morning all.
finace’ = fiance’, sorry for the typo
Yo Kandi stick to producing.
How are you gonna have a store without store hours? Blank stare.
Good morning everyone!
Sorry to hear her shop is closing. Maybe she will have better luck with her next endeavor.
Like the Nail Bar, just a cover up for dope money…
Why doesn’t she have a twitter for the store or something?
I also hate to hear about black owned businesses closing.

I had to unfollow Kandi on twitter because she kept tweeting Rasheeda and Diamond as if they didn’t live in the same state and had each other’s cell phone numbers. WTH? Blank stare.
Tia Mowry (from The Game and Sister Sister fame) does stupid stuff like that. Do celebs really think that people want to read tweets to other celebs all the time? Another blank stare. Wouldn’t it make more sense to tweet your “fan” – the shareholders of your career?
The celebs need to take a lesson on how to appropriately use twitter from Sandra’s friend, Monica.
@ RTB I had to cut mine super short because bleaching it broke off the front. Did you find a new stylist yet?
Off Topic: Fantasia For Real is the biz! Sandra why don’t you ever post on that showz? ‘Tasia is mega-talented, that song she did last night had me rockin’ in my bed! And I’m with her about not wanting to be a robot on stage, do you ‘Tasia and standout from all the other cookie-cutter acts.
@Sandy, Kandi gave you a “shout out” on TJMS this morn…she said she dont know where you get your stories from…
…said you make sh*t up…
Hey Daisy! I am doing a web analyst internship hopefully it will turn into full time. I will be done with my MBA in December.
@Outside, wow. Well I guess Kandi won’t be participating in a live chat now
LOL
You know how they do the lil entertainment report…dude said that Kandi was dispelling the rumor that she has been behaving like a diva in connection with the RHOA…he said, “Kandi says this certain blogger in question is known for … ”
Too messy. Lubs it.
@Shunda thats good I will be finished with school next mth
@Essence I
Tasia NC STAND UP!! I love her stage presence. I feel Fannie is an artist you either love or hate as far as her singing/stage presence goes. I love her taking it to church style others feels all she does is HOLLA (she does that as well but I love it).
Good morning all!!
celebrity restaurants and boutiques are overrated.
you have to market a product or service in demand. i’m supportive of any business venture, but if i were an avid investor, you couldn’t come to me with a clothing store and get my money. sometimes having a famous spokesperson can work more against your store than working for the store.
in any event, i dont think it was a good idea to have a clothing store. take this stuff online, and there goes the overhead of monthly rent and utilities. because she spends so much time on line, it would have a better chance of her sending out emails and coming up with a great e-marketing campaign for her store.
simply being kandi burruss with a clothing store isn’t marketing enough. combat that with monthly expenses and you’re already in the red before a single profit can be accounted. she should lose the store front and go online. if daisy went for a scarf and it wasn’t there, someone should have taken her info, given her a raincheck and re-stocked this product. daisy loves scarves; she would be the one person you email whenever you get new scarves in and on your shelf. she gets first dibs on ya products.
again, anybody can open a business. the successful ones are those that remain open through good and bad times.
MORNIN FAM!!!!!
Good mornin’ Gypsyeyes.
I hope this is not true. I love Fantasia I think she is a great singer. She put’s her heart and soul in her music. I love it.
#21, AM, that’s funny because I unfollowed Kandi too. Yes Daisy, I unfollowed her on twitter. it irks me too that celebs be on twitter all day talking to their celeb friends, like you say–as if they dont have each others number and whatnot.
a celeb on twitter should be talking TO THEIR FANS, not their friends. but as time has proven, the celebs are on twitter merely for popularity and racking up followers, all while ignoring the same no-name followers at the same time. it’s more interesting to see what the publicists like nicole garner are up to. you expect her to talk about parties and events. i dont want to hear this from a phaedra parks or kandi, or their back and forth banter on how they’re bosses and doing it. so i stop following them.
closing ALREADY? well dayum! To be honest I hadnt heard anything else about this place so I totally forgot… now I know why.. its never open… well that just sucks LOL
Hey Browwwwwnnnnsuuuuggggaaa!!!!! How are you?
Nika, not yet. My natural hair has lost it’s curl. It feel all wiry and looks dry all the time. I don’t want to cut to a TWA, again.
And I’m about to hit the job market hard, so I feel like I’m going to have to sell out, but I don’t want the creamy crack – Jesus take the wheel!
Hi everyone (((waves)))
____
it’s a shame her business is closing….
@ MKM sometimes I think Rickey is faking those guests….some of those stories are so out there I can’t believe they would go on the radio to resolve it.
RTB check into Carol’s Daughter products. The lady that owns has a natural and her hairs looks nice
@ nika, right, like the story on today has me scratching my head right now.
Congrats Daisy! I agree with Point. Online stores are great especially when you can ship for a flat rate.
Hey back @ YaddaYadda. Cute gravatar.
@ Read try Curls by Sisters Smith, I know the owner. She’s online and it’s reasonable and it works very well. She’s been natural for a while now and everytime I see her her hair looks amazing.
I’m ok MsKay, hated to come back to work to this bs but it is what it is
@Point, if they keep telling their whereabouts on twitter, a stalker is going to be waiting for their azzes one day. You know most of them can’t afford security on regular basis.
Morning SR Peeps.
In Kandi defense as far as not knowing the telephone number. I think the majority of ppl in the cell phone era don’t remember telephone numbers anymore. You program a number and hit send via their name. You hardly ever dial numbers anymore forcing you not to remember them.. Just me .02
Congrats Shunda and Daisy! That is wonderful!
When I heard kandi was opening a store I was concerned with the timing. Now is not the time to open a retail store. hopefully she can rebound and turn the store around or perhaps allow you to purchase online
@Point what made you think I care who you follow/unfollow on twitter
I don’t like on line shopping cause I like to feel/touch my clothes but to each their own.
@Southern thanks I have never been so ready for the mth of March to come and go
@pointhimout
——-
dag you have it on point! Im thinking of opening an online store! I need you as my CEO!
@Mskay Did you hear Rickey call Dondria Pastor Shirley Ceasear after her song went off
@Iscream, nice try. But they (Kandi and her crew) are at times in the room at the same time and still tweet each other. Blank stare.
Twitter is ridiculous and I don’t get why anyone would be on it including my boyfriend and celebrities…we in the grocery store his azz tweeting about cinnamontoast crunch I was like you are going to far who in the hell updates a public forum on minute by minute daily events in one’s life-I hope he gets the hell over twitter and on Sunday it was Shoutout Sunday my question is how does the computer and social networking become so important – anyway at Kandi I’m noticing something in her that I didn’t see before but who am I to judge…DESTROY TWITTER…and really he’s not on it everyday I just don’t get why people Tweet…I don’t know you so what is the point…now to me blogging is different…
@ Daisy,
I was like Damn, I didn’t know Passar Ceasar was singing secular music now. And she sounded too young to be Shirley, hunny.
thats messed up….i was looking forward to visiting her shop on a trip to ATL….oh well.
@iscream

so business people dont have business cards or planner book w/their info just askin?
@RTB, go on Utube, that is where I got all of my info when I decided to go natural. Look up natuaral hair journies and it helps out alot. There are hundreds of videos out there.
@attorneymom, when he started stutterin’ and shyt when Jacque asked him about Maya I thought that was a red flag. But I think he was caught off guard when she told him that she checked his facebook page. I wouldn’t have said one word and let him hang himself if he had anything to hide. But like Pep said, his facebook page was pretty clean so… But she won’t be going on anymore dates with Joel, she says, they will be just friends.
I went to the shop a few weeks ago. It wouldn’t come up in my GPS and when we called the girl didn’t really help with getting us there. We finally found it to find it was tiny as hell. The clothes were little to none and the stuff we did see was not all that. We stayed for about a second and left after coming all the way from Gwinnett. The store sucked to be honest.
Cute pic @ Krysi J. No homo
@Choco, I use to hate twitter until folks started tweeting me back. Now I am addicted. LOL.
Now I am against tweeting during church or sex or labor. At that point, you need an intervention.
Thanks Southern! AM he scared me also and who is that old saying freakalic(sp)?
@attorneymom
I dont use twitter during church but I do use facebook! hahahahaha so I guess I need an intervention! lol
@Choco, I’ve had an account forever but never used it. I finally finshed setting it up because my bestie is going away for 12wks and we can use it to stay intouch when the phones go down where she will be at. Also the military used to be against all social media sites and now Sailors on some ships can use Twitter/Facebook/TogetherWeServed to stay in touch.
I thought that I would like twitter but I’m not interested in telling my everything. I don’t like relationships for that reason so I know that I don’t want to tweet all the time.
Hi my name is nika405 and I tweet/FB during church!
@Sparkle, I am glad I didn’t make the hike to TAGS from Gwinnett because I would have been upset about wasting my time.
@AM and Nika
I had an account also and probably still do I just can’t get with it I admit sometime when he is on I will say something but girl it could be PMS but I looked at him like he was crazy for tweeting about cereal-but hey to each their own : ) Tweetaddicts lol
I guess I’m waayyyy behind cause I don’t even have a myspace or facebook
@Nika
Okay I’m curious now what do you be tweet about church like what people are wearing or what the pastor is saying and girl the ushers don’t come by and smack you on the hand with a ruler : )
Hey BrownSuga and Choco!!
Hey Gypsy!!! Everything lovely?
I’m wayyy back here with you @ Brownsuga ’cause I don’t either.
@Shunda, okay, it wasn’t me. I am serious. Anger management went through my head. He really scared me. And I am not easily spooked.
Rapper Scappy’s mother scared me like that on one of those. Youtube videos.
Twitter is the devil
… As far as Kandi, she be aight, she paid..
@ Brown, I a myspace acct becuase my son has one. I check it once a week to look at his page, but me and FB are like this>>><<<. My phone is dead by 12 because I’m on it all day. I’ve just started updating on twitter.
To: iscream
Ummm…no. LOL Kandi was a little over her head with this one. Any good businessman or businesswoman is ALWAYS ready to make a profit. That means thinking of new ways to market, having a fantastic sales pitch, not sleeping and most CERTAINLY, knowing the number and address to your place of business.
Heyyyyyy Gypsaaayyyy
I deleted my facebook and LinkedIn accounts
The wheels on the bus go round and round and over Kandi’s azz, round and round…
Yet another celeb”friend” has fallen for Sandra’s wiley way, not recognizing what a frenemy Sandra is and has successfully been thrown under the bus
Her Royal hoodratness, LISARAYE MCCOY-MISICK, PRINCESS OF ZAMUNDA & CAICOS, YOU’RE UP NEXT HONEY!
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!^^^^^^^^^^
@Nika and MizzDallas- At church really?? Not judging but I would be so scared to do that at church. I’m so scarey when it comes to God. Even when I have bad thoughts I try to erase them out of my mind cause you know he can read minds too. I used to leave my phone in the car for fear that I will be in trouble for bringing it inside.Now that I’m back in my hometwon with my mother and she is the usher I’m really scared and I’m 36.
@Choco I am an usher lol, I update FB with the scripture the Pastor preaches from and then I just read everybody else’s status until he starts preaching, I mainly just check twitter to see what everyone else is saying. LJ has a SR list that a few ppl here are on…but If I have to Usher that Sunday…I don’t log on after sunday school.
That’s unfortunate. Looks like she had some nice items to offer.
All you that tweet or surf the internet during church service need an intervention. You need Twitter Anonymous – TA or Internet Addicts Anonymous. Or, you need to find a new church cause the ushers aren’t doing their job.
If my people see people textin he will call them out in a heartbeat
*if my pastor
Some of the church memebers are my FB friends and they are updating/checking in too. One girl has a bible app on her Iphone.
@ MKM, thanks.
_____
My twitter account is lonely my 6 followers are strangers and I don’t have a thing to say to them. I need more people
so other than church you can stay on it all day and not need an intervention????
It’s not the economy, it’s poor business ethics and practices. How can you have your name tied to something as important as a business and not promote it with what little celebrity that you do have? Good luck with what she does next because it looks like she will promote as long as things are going well but when she gets something else going on, she is not as passionate about the first thing.
Some people have a bible app on their phone where they don’t need to bring the actual book to church. I was sitting next to someone like that last Saturday and I didn’t know that. Was getting ready to ask her of she was tweeting Jesus.
gypsyeyes Says:
@Nika and MizzDallas- At church really??

How can Kandi promote the boutique on twitter is she doesnt know the address
I don’t know about this one SANDRA, her store Tags just went online for shopping about 2 weeks ago, why would they do this if the store was closing?
You guys must pay your tithes and offering which explains why the Pastor hasn’t put you on blast for real. LOL Now unless his or her azz is tweeting or surfing too. Blank stare.

@topic: kandi will be just fine. businesses come and go and come back with a different name.
@offtopic: texting/tweeting/facebooking at church just seems disrespectful. but then again this is coming from someone who doesn’t go to church, so i digress.

My son yells at me all the time about it, but church does not really start for me until the Pastor preaches. When I usher i don’t bust the FBer’s….bad a@@ kids and gum chewers are my pet peeves. And like Mizz I use the bible as my cover up. I do pay attention to the devotion but until he starts preaching it’s filler to me

@Iscream, Joel is an ex-felon? Blank stare. I guess I missed that one cause I was so busy looking at him.
Kandi just called you out SANDRA..LOL..GOOD FOR KANDI!!!!
Ok so I must b on Sandra Rose's it list. lately she keeps dogging me in her blog. I normally wouldn't trip but
my business partner Peaches (who i have a great relationship with) was upset bout it. she's not use to stuff like that. She's very low key.
anyway, contrary to what was reported TAGS Boutique is doing great! we even started online shopping this month http://www.TAGSAtl.com is our site
I tweet during church service sometimes, I don’t think i’ve ever done it while pastor is preaching. Heck my church tweets during service as well. Follow us @victorywc

I hope her character isn’t what she usually plays, the tries to be proper but country always creeps out in someway with a bit too much sass, but not enough to be ghetto. I’ve only see her play these sort of roles, I wonder if she can actually act.
Sannas, what about consistent store hours?
I believe this will be Tasha Macks 1st “serious” role good for her
I am glad they finally brought on a McChoc young Dr. on Greys took them long enough! I would have preferred Blair but I will take Eve’s old boo
Looks like someone needs to update their post….
-O-O-
( – )
Yay for Kandi!! I can still hit her shop up next mth for a few pieces. She does need to work on keeping enough stock in the store cause it was almost empty the last time I went.
The View needs me. The should replace either Sherri or Elizabeth with me.
she by sheree uh, hmmm well sounds very upscale, anyhoo these Atlanta stars are really something else.
I like Sherri on the View she is funny that damn Elizabeth IRKS me to know end

I said the same thing! lol…. but that wld be interesting…bring Tasha Mack on there to cause a lil interference w/ the new doc! whooo hooo!
She said they closed early yesterday to support Tiny but she doesn’t say what her hours are
@BROWN, I don’t know because I need an intervention myself.
@ Daisy, maybe they have the scarf you wanted in stock online.
@KaraZ
I concur I hope she is not playing Tasha Mac and has a more diverse roll….she was good and funny as Tasha but that worked for that show…can’t be Niecy everywhere you go
Oh no….I hate this had to happen. Too bad, I never got a chance to swing by there. Oh well.
@ Attorney mom, they really do need to replace Sherri! Seriously!!!!!
Being that I live in Louisiana, i went to Kandi’s site to purchase some clothes.. Well all of the “cute’ stuff is sold out.. Only thing left was some T-shirts that said “I fly above all the haters”…
The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. LOL
@MissRN
Thanks I guess business isn’t doing so bad if she is sold out of most the cute stuff idk and idc I will check it out tho….
“If everywhere you go it smells like day old cabbage maybe its you. Maybe you just stanking” I JUST FELL OUT MY CHAIR PROSTRATE
Daisy, i’m with you, I like Sherri on the show. You need a black blond every now and again. They need to have another Star Jones type on there though, she was smart & articulate, insulted you properly & by the time you’ve realized she did, you look up and she has a blank stare.
Wow I can’t believe the store is closing!!!!
I don’t watch Greys but I’m happy to hear my girl got another gig.
She stay working. I loved her in The Jerry Springer movie when she played the jealous ghetto girlfriend.
Its hard out here for black actress. Look at Taraji she got that Oscar nod and has falling off to the point she was hanging with Sandra ATL D list celebs….
Ms.kaylamomma Says:
She said they closed early yesterday to support Tiny but she doesn’t say what her hours are

According to the website the hours are 11-8 and closed on Sunday.
That website ‘tagsatl’ is tacky and those models are fat (church momma arms). Some black women are still slender built and have minimum curves, not big donks and fat arms- geesh. I guess that is how it’s done in the ‘A’
More power
@ MissRN…I just went to the site also, you are right all the cute clothes are sold out and the shoes (2pr). Sorry Daisy no sign of a scarf. It’s not a good look to be sold out in store and online…. But her store hours are listed on the website
@Nika LOL I need to check the on line store for my scarf good idea!!
@Karaz I use to love when Star was on the View!
@MissWindy Yes, took them FOREVER to bring on a McChoc!!
@Nika Thanks for checking anyway
WOW, I wish Kandi would have logged in to tell Sandra to stop eff’in with her.
blankstare @RTB

did you notice Kandi was the model on someof the pictures?!?

@ AM what is Sr’s twitter name?
Sandra you’re on the come up. First a mention on Wendy’s show, now a mention on the AJC’s blog web site, next you’ll be on Judge Mathis being sued by Kandi’s business partner for emotional distress
just kidding
sanaa, thanks for clearing that up…I still have a chance to stop thru
Why is so much shade always thrown at the ATL
@Krysi I will take you when you come through!
I was in her store about 2 months ago. Didn’t see anything I liked but the prices were reasonable.
After reading a few tweets from Kandi, I am beginning to look at her sideways. She started tweeting I believe from the urging of Kim on RHOA but she is really doing too much on there. If she promoted her shop like she does her “personal achievements”, I am sure the shop would be performing better. Oh well. Another one bites the dust.
Not so much throwing shade at ATL just overload on ATL petty unnewsworthly sagas it seems like everyone in ATL knows everyone – they are all trying to be celebrities and all believe themselves to be celebrities even the queens and cross dressing men….and honestly been to ATL not ever feeling it and won’t ever found the women to be petty and the men to be even worse-they were actually the catty ones…allow me to clarify the people I encountered.
@Daisy, I’ve wondered about that as well (shade thrown @ ATL) I wanted to move there a while back and people went crazy, they say all the men down there are gay, which I really don’t want to believe, because how can that be possible???? I want to visit and see for myself.
Kandi just denied that her shop was closing on twitter…
@Sandra, I am going to get my big azz in trouble co-signing with you and Charles. : – )
Now I am feeling bad even though I meant what I said.
For the record, I like both Kandi and Monica as Artists. It does not mean that I have to co-sign with everything they do. I am not a hater. I don’t mean to hurt anyone feelings.
@Walking the A does have plenty of gay men but there are some straight men they are either married or playas for the most part. I am sure there are some good/great/decent straight men in this city though I just havent met one yet
Not everybody in the A is a wannabe or impressed with real or wannabe celebs. Not every female is a wanna be model/video chick etc. Plenty of NORMAL/REGULAR men and women live in the A. Wannabes/catty men/women etc. reside in every city last time I checked.
nika405 Says:

MsRN, I did notice that, and that is low budget…
I think it would be different if she was ‘She’ by Sheree, and it was her own line, but she just modeling regular clothes – invest in a professional model, and quit being cheap. And keep some regular business hours or hire someone who can work in the store for your ass while you on Twitter all day.
BrownSuga, don’t be blank staring me – WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
Thanks Daisy
and BROWNSUGA where da HELL YOU BEEN AT huh???
@WalkingKontradiction… it’s true about the men. They’re too many men who are either, interested in men, involved in criminal behavior, incorrigible womanizers, involved in too much drama or all of the above. When you find one of those men who are actually worth your time and effort, you see women going above and beyond to woo him too.
Atlanta is not a good city for black love, I’m comparing it to the other cities I’ve lived in (Boston & Washington, DC) and spent time socializing in. I don’t even recommend newly married couples living here, they’re some straight up MAN EATING PIRANHAS running around in Herve Leger bandage dresses pretending to be professionals but they’re professional at sleeping with other people’s men.
#noshade
You know what, I’d hire Sandra Rose as part of my PR strategy… one negative post on you can get you more mainstream media coverage and urban blogging mentions than a professionally drafted press release.
RTB and Krysi i had a procedure last week so I was in the hospital for a few days so had you heathens paid attn the week before I told folks I was gonna be off!
Krysi I don’t think I like your tone but since I know you e luv me it’s ok! I know you missed me!
LOVE the new pic Krysi! i see you got your “Come and get me” look on!
@karaz I agree with you about the women wooing a man! I dont play that but some of these thristy women have spoiled these single straight men into thinking they dont have to do anything but stand and look cute and women will fall all over them not I
HE that finds a wife findth a good thing! I have had my male friends admit they dont bother to approach women anymore because women dont give them a chance anymore so they just sit back and let the women come to them smh
I didnt even know that was you @ krysij. You get a “werk bish!” (c)Daisy,lol
@Daisy
Sure are petty and catty people in every city but at least in other cities the females are catty and the men are petty…
@KaraZ
Exactly I’m comparing ATL to DC and the cultures are different and I don’t mind saying I prefer DC to ATL anyday
Also when I went the big deal seemed to be the mall and the clubs but I’m sure there is way to ATL…
ohhh sandra, they got you on blast in the AJC. KANDI SAID YOU COULD’VE CALLED HER FIRST! at least we know rodney ho reads sandra rose!
@Daisy I’m gonna need you to change that gravatar, please and thank you. I keep staring at that damn dudes pretty azz teeth…..
@ Krysi I love your new pic. Thanks AM I will look for her now. And I agree with KaraZ Sandra does a post on ppl and mainstream starts checking for them. BRAVO CUT SANDRA’S CHECK
yes Daisy please change it to a torso shot please and thank you!
WOW!!! What you both described sounds like every city I’ve ever lived in!!! Well minus the amount of gay men, part, but def the part about women wooing these men to the point that they feel they don’t have to do ANYTHING!!!! Daisy I am with you, HE that findth wife, not SHE who findth a husband!! I was just telling someone last night who I am talking to that men, especially black men, don’t know how to court a woman anymore and sorry but I’m old school because I’ve realized the new school leaves me with the short end of the stick. Don’t these pirahnnas(sp) realize they are messing it up for ALOT OF WOMEN, I know ho’s wanna get married too, #justsaying!
its been a slow news day, but auntie did say that she was having issues with her system…good thing i was able to figure out how to get past the firewall here and pull up youtube to keep me entertained during my breaks…Hey y’all!!! Brown girl I missed u last week, u always have me cracking up. Hey RTB, KRYSI,VI, and Daisy
*waving*
@Daisy & Choco…
I never played that! Straight men in Atlanta, doing something with their lives seem to think they’re some type of commodity, as if women who live in Atlanta are forced to stay within city limits in their search for love. The way I see it, I’m THE asset, if you don’t check for me, somebody worthy of all that I am, will. And he did.
Not to cause division, but that’s why I stuck to my African men no matter where I lived; they have no problem (and frankly seem to enjoy) chasing you and courting you the way it’s supposed to. Most African men I know get turned off by overly aggressive women, but they’ll still take whatever she’s offering for free. But that could be me being totally biased.

That website ‘tagsatl’ is tacky and those models are fat (church momma arms). Some black women are still slender built and have minimum curves, not big donks and fat arms- geesh. I guess that is how it’s done in the ‘A’
*********************************************************
did you notice Kandi was the model on someof the pictures?!?
****************************************************
i’m cool with the “life size” models (actually like it) but not the overall design (stink poses, poor background and lighting, etc). i mean, it just looks like somebody lil cousin took brought their canon, took pics, and uploaded them. kandi please do not model your own clothes.
deniece williams sponge bob
HEYYYYY SWEETCHEEKS!!!!
this stuff reminds me of greenbriar mall….
@ walking on the issue of men not knowing how to court a women…man its off the chain like that here…I just don’t have the time nor the energy to chase after any man…They are suppost to seek us…I mean u can try buying him stuff and whatnot to get his attention but at the end of the day once he has gotten what he wants from u he will make moves to go after the one he really wants…Even if u get him by wooing him, wouldn’t u have to keep up with that mess thru the rest of your relationship? Who wants to do that. I’m not taking care of no grown man lol!!!
@Choco you can prefer any city you want I just get tired of ppl acting like the A is the only city w/gay men or has issues. I have single friends in DMV area singing the SAME song I am! I love the DMV area as well thinking about moving there for a career change.
@Walking Girl gay men are in NY, ATL, DC shoot now even Charlotte
Most of my gfriends crossed over and will ask a man out I mean flirt real hard in order to get a mans attn. I just can’t. I will flirt and all but I am not approaching,asking a man out or throwing myself at you thats just not how I was raised im old skool!
@Cheeks hey girl *waves*
Sandra said her PC was acting up or something so we may not get a new post for a min
@cheeks Hey girl!!
@BRown NOOOO torso shots!!! Its hard enough trying not to stare at just his damn smile…
VIBABY his torso shots make me tingle in my happy place!
I just fnished Hill Harpers Conversations book last night. I found it interesting. Esp. the part about how both men and woman can and often times do generalize. I stopped doing that a few yrs back or at least working on it. I keep the faith in my black men although it can be very hard
@VI I like my pic just fine!
@Daisy
Do you know the song “Welcome to DC” lol…
Brown, the Devil is a Lie… They got ‘Inta’net’ in the hospital! How dare you!
But I’m glad you’re better
Heathen, huh?
Brown: Let’s role play and you be Mandingo and I’ll be the slavemaster’s daughter
Joel: You ready for this Mandingo !@#$
*gets ready and he comes up behind me and grabs me and pushes me against the wall*
RTB I aint gettin on no damn computer at the hospital with iv’s and shyt all in my arm!
But textin is a different story! LOL but since I didn’t have your number I couldn’t send no random texts!
For all you BGC fans, Lil Duval interviewed Natalie’s chin today. They just happen to be on the same plane.

Wow really? About 6-7 years ago when I lived in California I knew 2 females that went on vacation to ATL, came home sold all their stuff and moved out there. They were acting like it was the best thing since cooked food. All they did was rave about the men. Guess it has changed.
why yes Mskay I would like to lick him!
I saw the lint licker commercial the other day and damn near died!
@ Daisy
I used to have that same attitude…let the guy approach me. I felt that women who approached men were desperate. Then I had to get realistic and understand that perhaps the man really wants to talk to you but is simply too shy to approach someone they are interested in. The guy I am courting now is the guy that I swallowed my pride and approached. He was too good of a catch for me to play the “come hither unto me” bull-ish game. There are a lot of women out there waiting for the man to approach them because of some ol’ skool hang ups. There are also a lot of women who have taken a vow of celibacy hoping that this will attract a man to them and make the man want them so bad that he will marry them in order to hit that panties. Did I mention that a lot of these women are single and blaming it on the man and White women???
Daisy, you won’t ask a guy out? It’s unconventional, but if you’re really feeling him, you won’t?
Gay men are only NOW coming to Charlotte???
Jewelry, guys are slow and don’t always pick up on vibes.
I was like that too, but I decided I wanted to date and have fun and if I found the right one, YAHHHHH! It was never an issue of ‘having to pay’, or sleeping around. And my ideal guys (marriage material) were not beating down my doors
I had to go get em!
Thankfully, I met my husband in the dating process (he asked me out). If I were still so closed minded, I’d be a 34 y/o single, barren, fat, cat lady!
No I won’t ask a man out. I don’t blame my being single on anything or anybody. When God is ready for me to be in a relationship I will be.
@Karaz Are you listening to Rev Al today? Him and Tavis are going at it
you go Daisy
Oh well I don’t care about who approaches who back in the day I always got approached but when I met my bf I asked for his number tho he initiated the conversation
Not so much throwing shade at ATL just overload on ATL petty unnewsworthly sagas it seems like everyone in ATL knows everyone – they are all trying to be celebrities and all believe themselves to be celebrities even the queens and cross dressing men…
———————————————-
and add to that, most of them are broke or living gig-to-gig, living in small @$$ condos (apartments) with rent-to-own furniture, leased or rented cars…and i could go on and on.
ReadTheBlog:
It is important for women to understand that you can and should approach a man if you are feeling him. Let him know of your interest and then step back and let him do the pursuing. But at least you put it out there. That is what I did…open the door and allowed him to walk through it. It really is not rocket science…a lot of women, Black women in particular, need to get over themselves. There is a lot, I mean a lot, of competition out there and the old-fashioned ways work some of the time in a few cases.
@KaraZ: That’s interesting that you say that about the African men because the man I’m talking to is African, but he’s used to the LA-Hollywood scene and I think that’s enough to shake any man up from reality, there are lots of pretty girls with nothing upstairs and nothing to lose and they basically throw themselves at him, but then I guess that’s why he found me attractive cause when we first met I was like nucca bye, ain’t nobody checking for you! LOL, I think alot of women are afraid to let a man know that he is not the prize but SHE is, too many dudes feeling themselves these days, there can’t be a DIVA AND DIVO in the relationship
Y’all are scaring me with the men stories! But I refuse to feel like I have to accept less than what I deserve just to say I have a man. And I feel you Daisy on the apporaching men thing, I never have had to do it, and I really don’t want too.
Yeah, you go Daisy – stick to what works for you

PREACH!! i’ve been married eleven years and know firsthand how desperate and disrespectful some of the women here in ATL are…that’s why i let them know (with a look or verbally if i need to) that i will shank a bish ’bout my husband. and i’m not jealous – just realistic that these women are very aggressive so i let them know up front that if they think they can take the @$$ whoopin/shankin’ that comes with mine, then bring it!
@ Daisy…so young and idealistic
Hmmm…what is that scripture, faith without a corresponding action is dead. Big ups to all the single, lonely church ladies.
After my current relationship ends (or we take a break) I plan to spend time getting to know me….I’ve been engaged 3 times(only once was serious) and been in a retionship with someone since I was 19 12+yrs….I’m tired. I’m going to travel w/friends, decorate my house and get my son ready for college.
This is an interesting conversation, y’all are making this hour and 15 minutes go by fast
I know what the word says some ppl love to ASSume as usual time to hit the NIGGnor button #ontothenextone
@Nika I am headed to Paris in Oct and somebodys Island this summer! I stay traveling and good luck with your relationship IF its what you want and he makes you happy!
Jewelry, you are right, again. Times are a changing! The relationships that we were concieved of are few and far between compared to what we have to work with now. I think it’s desperation and poor planning that causes one to settle for anything, but a confident woman, knows what she wants and goes for it. And she doesn’t have to be a whore or gold digger or home-wrecker or professional babymomma in the process.
LOL @ Black women getting over themselves! Or they can stay complacent and let the white women open all those doors, instead
Oh so BrownSuga IGNORiNg me today???
Nika you definitely need to do you for a while. I would encourage any single woman to do that! Like Toya said- don’t settle for half a mane! lol You know how you should be treated and what you want so dont settle but while we’re on the subject of men bringin alot to the table…..BIRD YOUR BROTHER LOOK LIKE HE HAS A LOT TO OFFER ME!
@RTB thanks like I said I will flirt or what have you but men approach who they want, who seems easy etc. if he is really interested he will approach after signs have been thrown IMO
I am not pressed enough to throw myself at a man and ask him out dont roll like that but I know it works for some women more power to them!
@Karaz girl they are going at it I hope you are listening today to Rev Al
oh nevermind
I just read 181!! LOL, my bad friend!
I was just about to say “is Krysi gon have to bite a bytch”

Not that I am the new advocate for Black American Women/African Men love or anything but I just wonder why people are so closed minded to it. People always say there are no good black men but by saying (and I hear this A LOT) I don’t date Africans; you are cutting off a whole demographic of men. Ok they come from a different culture than you but instead of thinking they are all poor, running around naked in a jungle and killing wild animals to eat, get to know one. I have only dated 2 (one I married), but my sister’s is a pro at it (all she has dated since college) and her husband is from West Africa as well and they are both good men. Yeah they have their ways and on some days you might want to F them up but that’s with all men.
Nika, I did that. Right before I met my husband. I was celibate, and got to know myself for that time (not like that – haha). I did a lot of reading and a lot of praying. I set goals for myself (that did not include a man) and achieved them! It really helps you to realize what type of person you are, what you have to offer, and what you expect.
Good luck in your journey
I hope Rev Al is getting Tavis Smiley….he bugs me

Nika, do you live in Gut-rock (Guthrie)?
Well I don’t regret getting my beau’s number six years later and yes if you sit and do nothing your blessing could come and go…Being assertive imo is not throwing yourself at a man-he spoke I spoke I was about to leave I said what’s your number didn’t have to throw anything LOL
RTB black folks live in Guthrie?????? Oh wait the guy Carl King that used to be on the radio, his mother lives there so that’s 1
@ Daisy & Nika
Sorry but ask alot of men and an “aggressive” woman is a turn off to them. What works for you works for you, if you approached your man and yall are now living happily ever after then congrats but to those of us who don’t find it necessary to approach men that is our choice and that doesn’t make us lonely single church ladies, although I see nothing wrong w/ that either cause you’ll never be lonely with God on your side
Again @ Daisy I commend you for having standards/requirements and sticking to them because you are right, when God sees fit you will be rewarded, heck I’m sure you don’t have problems pulling on a daily basis, but just because you are capable of catching the fish doesn’t mean it’s worth keeping.
@ Daisy
I feel you tho, I never been a fan of approaching men either. I don’t hate on the women who do, but for some reason its just not cute to me. If he is shy it wouldn’t work anyway because I don’t want no shy man!!!!!
@ RTB, girl hell naw! I live in the city born/raised (had to spend summers in Choctaw tho)….Now Brown is from the sticks (Spencer….you know they just got a Walmart) lol

@Walking thanks and any female can say they have a man just to have a man I am way past that. I don’t know why folks ASSume just because you are single means you are lonely
I agree as well different strokes for different folks. Ppl need to do what they feel comfy with and keep it moving and not try to live up to what others think you shld be doing. So glad I never had a problem with self esteem!

I thought he was a black man when I met him, didn’t know he was African until after the fact but I said nucca bye aint nobody checking for you because of the way he approached me, like I should JUMP at the chance to holla, and I’m like no buddy you don’t know who I AM!
He said that’s what got him about me, I bring him back down to earth because all these “wooers” fill your head with nonsense and you tend to lose sight of reality and what’s important. So with us it’s like that, that’s our dynamic and actually I was one of those who said I wouldn’t date an African because of all the horror stories I heard but again that is just a generalization, everyone can’t always be the same. The culture is different, I’m still learning because I’m very head strong(not militant but I’ve done everything on my own for so long that it takes a little time to compromise and let someone else do what they are supposed to do) I’m working on it.
@Quetta
Here is your *e welcome packet* where ya from/reping/married/single/kids and who if anybody do you STAN for in FUN?
Welcome to the SR fam!
@Kara and Al for the record I wld date an African as long as I thought he was cute and he knew he couldnt have other wives
someone must’ve sent Sandra a virus….hmmmmm, Kandi, Rasheeta, Charles, Keri Hilson, Michelle Obama, etc., who could it be,

evry African man that has tried to talk to me I had a bad experience with, they came across like they were God’s gift and didn’t like the fact that I didn’t fall all over them and was not thought just cause they showed me some attn that meant i was with them! My friend from london said it’s usually the ones from nigeria because they are raised to do everything and the woman really has no say so.
Hey QuettaV,
to the party **blows noisemaker, throws confetti**
@ Brownsuga, chica, how is the blind flag twirlin’ mime lady at your church doing? I was just thinkin’ about her the other day while you were out.
Hello Daisy thanks for my e welcome package. I’m from them DMV (D.C.,Maryland, Virginia) area and I’m single by choice. I have 3 kids and I STAN for Whitney Houston, Ledisi, Chrisette Michelle, and Michael Jackson. I don’t fool with the younger artist/performers/circus acts/ can’t sing/ selling their souls and body for entertainment folks!!!!!

Same here! I tried it once and never again!
Thanks Ms.Kaylamomma. My god daughter is named Kayla..
@Daisy Exactly! Single does not equal lonely, and after an eight year relationship I needed a break and needed to focus on me. Idk, I believe self-esteem has alot to do with it because if you’re happy with your life then any man will be an addition to that happiness and won’t be the needed component….#jmo

Im sorry but I have to agree, they are so stuck up…you don’t find very many dijimonds or Amistads round these parts, with humble attitudes….and on top of that they wildin in SOUTH AFRICA feel me…
but my 2cents on aggressive women…? Well what do you consider an aggressive woman, cuz I know some me want to approach you and they’re not sure how you’ll act…but they will stare……so someone like me will wave and smile and let them know Im cool, and then they’ll approach me…is that aggressive??
@ Daisy, I’m going to have to start throwing rolled up deodarant balls if you don’t approve my expense report for more confetti…
MsKay she hadn’t been in a couple of weeks. I think I got her in trouble. my pastor is her cousin right, so everything he says she’s always cosignin and she’ll yell out what she thinks he’s gettin ready to say and that’s not what he says! well, i’m not new…just returning after being bannededed for something i did to San a long time ago.
but i want an e-packet and some confetti (no deodorant balls, please)…

I don’t think that’s agressive to me an aggressive woman is what they are accusing the women in ATL of doing pirahna’s is what some referred to…and Agressive and Assertive are two different things
@ WalkingKontradiction
I think that’s what my husband likes about me too. He always says I go hard but I TRY to make sure I still let him play his position. It takes work to balance it and especially cuz it’s not what I’m use too but it gets easier with practice.
@ Daisy, I don’t think it gets no better than my husband, I always say he is the best thing out of West Africa. I think he is absolutely beautiful (in a man way). And as far as the wives thing, well his father has 2 wives but it’s a choice it’s NOT a mandatory thing. My husband says on some days he don’t even want one wife <<<<Whatever. Anyway we talked about it we started dating and I made it clear that I’m not interested in being part of a polygamous relationship and he said he wasn’t interested in it either so we proceeded.
@Speak
back. *blows noisemaker, throws confet** (don’t even have enough left to spell “confetti”) I sawwwwry!
You too Brownsuga!
Good Afternoon everybody
In regards to African men, I think it’s 50/50. I’ve met some cool ones were nice and outgoing. But I’ve also met some who thought they were better than me & other Black Americans. I have noticed the “Americanized” Africans tend to be stuck up and exclusively date White women or native African women

@speak, now Sandra usually announces when she bans someone (I think) so were you really banned and did your password not work for a while ala Attorneymom, LadyJustice, etc(we know that’s Sandra’s way of saying she’s pissed at you)?
Thank you Ms.Kaylamomma
I will look past the Wayne insult THIS TIME! No no but Yeah I saw them they are very nice!
Not me, @VIBaby. Musta been Mirsmommy.
Just because you have an online store DOES NOT mean you will be successful. The problem with majority of Urban business owners is that they don’t invest sh!t in the online properties that have to be treated like a separate business venture and it is NOT cheap! Majority of people and businesses I run into don’t want to pay a dime into their website, they are looking for folks that do it for free or just cheap. Then they wonder why nothing comes from it.
There is a reason why Zappos, Walmart, Target, etc. make a lot of money online because they invest in technology and their online presence. YOu have to have someone monitor site activities every single day, update inventory, have a distribution system from site to order processing, order updates and so on. It is has to be planned out and tweaked.
Looking at the site it looks just like that maybe paid $1500 for it, there no categories, no navigation to products, bad product description if any, no meta tagging. The site is just bad for online business and I am not saying that to be saying it. YOu have to invest in an online shopping site. Companies like Amazon, spend millions every single year for site operations. They have 100s of developers that make great money.
You can say that they have the money but they started small first wiht small staff and eventually grew. However you have to make it an investment otherwise there is no point!
@Walking
More power to her I’ve done that when I was single cuz sometimes that’s all you want but not like your friend did but I can remember being very candid lol
@Al….yes I know exactly what you’re saying and it’s funny because I feel that he kinda balances that out in me. I also made it clear that I DO NOT SHARE(heck raised a single child) and I’m down with a polygamous relationship, but really in this day & age you gotta let american men know the same thing, heck my grandaddy had a full fledged 2nd family in Georgia, all that was missing was the marriage license because it’s not “legal” but if you’ve set up shop imo, she’s another wife and family.
oh, i forgot…i stan for Curtis aka 50…i’s married…no bambinos yet but we’re hopeful…reppin the A (well, the stable, married folks in the A). i think that’s er’thing but let me know if i forgot something.
@Choco, that’s how she is, right now she’s on some “get what I need out the deal and keep pushing” and I say more power to her, but the dudes have no idea what they’re in for!
Hmmmm is this dislike for Kandi coming from what Jawn Murray said this morning about how him and Kandi were talking about how one blogger posted lies that she had become a diva all of sudden…
I hope that shop stays open we need more black owned business
Never tried a African man and never will. I take that back maybe if he was a fine looking one. The ones I see here are ashy feet sandal wearing cab drivers. I went to an african weeding before with a friend and I fell asleep. It was tooo much singing. the bride came down to a Marvin Sapp song. When she arrived at the alter the groom started singing the song, the brides mother got up and sung along witht he grooms mother etc, etc, etc,… I nevered listened to my Marvin Sapp’s cd again. The reception was off the hook… but a 31/2 hr wedding was to darn long.Just say I do and get it over with. Food was good because it was catered by a chinese carry out.
Cheeks, i’m all late – HEYYYYY BOOOOO!
@speak, now Sandra usually announces when she bans someone (I think) so were you really banned and did your password not work for a while ala Attorneymom, LadyJustice, etc(we know that’s Sandra’s way of saying she’s pissed at you)?

i was banned…password didn’t work at all. i can’t remember what i did but she banned me.
that’s suppose to be wedding not weeding.. lol
BKLYN, It won’t stay open if she keeps doing stuff like closing ot get her nails done.
I patronize black businesses that deserve it. But I can’t stand stores that be on some n*gga sh*t! Running cash registers out your pockets, not open during YOUR OWN POSTED business hours. Answering the phone all ignorant, not being helpful when someone asks as question about something you’re intereste in buying. No Refund, no exchange BS – Just n*ggerish!
Hi everyone,
1. IHOP is giving away free pancakes today
:woot: http://www.ihoppancakeday.com/
2. Did ya’ll see the TV interview where Jay Z said he taught Bey her dance moves?
(I try hard not to like him…but he makes it difficult sometimes)
3. I’m only the one that thinks Pep has bleached her skin?
Weren’t they called Salt n Peppa…because one was light skinned and the other dark brown?
@Kayla, I have a G1 as well I’m bored with it too, but blackberry’s aren’t for me because they freeze too much, what about the mytouch? Otherwise I would suggest a palm pri I think it’s called. I don’t think t-mobile carries it though.
LOL @ Walking
You are truly taking me back they knew what they were in store for cuz I let them know off the brink shoot being single for five years and a non-existent sex life during that will make you be like that-
RTB are you goi to see the male dancers this weekend? I htought I should go for my bday!
LOL @ Quetta story and her sarcasm on catering done by chinese carry out

Very good observations, Dblaq. That’s because she threw that site up quickly this morning. It wasn’t even working until a couple of hours ago. Kandi doesn’t think about anyone but herself. she promoted her bootleg video talk show but made not one tweet about that store until today. The only reason I don’t fully expose Kandi is because someone who I respect asked me not to.
Well when I say African I am talking about West Africa (maybe because it’s all I know) but to say all Africans are this and that is like when they say that all American black men are drug dealers and all American black women are video girls. They are just silly generalizations that can be easily done away with by communicating. Simple
But for the record when my husband and I got married I moved in with him, his brother and two cousins until his lease was up and then we got our own place. I tell you it was the longest 5 months ever living with 4 men, coming home smelling goat cooking almost every day, ugh. But they did EVERYTHING for me. They cleaned, they cooked (not that I ate it), they ironed my clothes; they took my clothes to the cleaners, bought me stuff, etc. If my husband wasn’t home one of the others would run errands for me. So I have nothing bad to say about them.
Now I know some bad ones too….
Lol @ Choco, you know what I take that back they do know what’s up cause she’s OVERTLY BLUNT, so hell nah I don’t feel bad for them anymore!
Thanks for your patience guys and gals. My tech guy just installed a new hard drive in the PC, and hopefully I can salvage some files off the old one. I will be up and running soon.
@Walking
It’s very empowering for a woman to tell like it is lol I sorta miss those days but I wouldn’t trade it for what I got now-girl I remember telling this one man that if he wanted me to go to dinner with him he would need to pay my cell phone bill he did that and paid for dinner and he didn’t even get so much as a kiss on the cheek good nite-I bored of him quickly tho
@ QuettaV
You got me crying right now. I can’t stop
Thanks @ WalkingK
@Sandra
Dayum you needed a new hard drive I hope your virus didn’t spead to me
@ Al, lol about them cooking goat every day!
But um if they were doing all that, I would move in too, get catered to like I’m Princess of Zamunda, no problem with that!
@ walking.. yes ma’am they sure did. I never been to a wedding with so much singing. I understand it’s culture and everything but sheeeeeeeesh enough with the marvin Sapp. If Marvin was there I bet he would never sing that song again. It was toooooo much… I still hear it “Neeeeeeever Woulda madddddddde itttt!!!!!”
That cooking goat thing would’ve made me feel like culture shock lmao
@Choco & Corporate: It was a one hitter quitter! My friend reminds is a man eater for real, a lot of times I feel bad for the dudes.
——————————————————–
thats the definition of a maneater??
krysi I was in heat and had been in a drought! THANK GOD I married him! I try sooo hard to be ladylike!
———————————————————–
ur SUCH A FUKKING LADY
#Noshade but these generalizations about African men are even worse than the generalizations made about men in ATL. How many African men have you met in your entire life? It wouldnt matter if you added every African man you and every chick you know met, it still wouldnt represent a percentage worth mentioning…..
@QuettaV You never met an American black guy with ashy feet?lol, I know I have.
Every African I know is either a Dr or a Pharmacist. Either way they all have Dr in front of their names and are married to African American women.
Never tried a African man and never will. I take that back maybe if he was a fine looking one. The ones I see here are ashy feet sandal wearing cab drivers

It was a carry out because after the people delivered the food they left menu’s. Chicken fried rice, combination rice, egg rools.

@Kayla, No problem!
@Choco, OMG You sound JUST LIKE MY FRIEND….see some days I wish I could be that bold, but I just can’t, but if I really need it she will do it for me!
@Sandra, hmmm so I wonder where did Miss Kandi go wrong with you? Nah wait I remember shade since I was a lurker, but at some point, yall were cool right?
Sandra, I told you last week this site was tripping!
I went to the website this morning. Her things are exspensive! who are they supposed to be affordable for?
@Al-Ameera I am from the Caribbean so the goat everyday would have been heaven to me. I know you didnt/dont eat meat so it must have been hell to you,lol.
I’m still laughing my A@@ off @ QuettaV!
@KrysiJ, no the other part about how she approached him is why I said my friend is a man eater, she actually self-proclaims that.
Thank you krysi!
Vibaby my opinions are based off of my experiences with them personally. The last one I met was doing his residency at one of the hospitals here and said he didn’t like tellin women cause they always wanat his money! I told him “I’m single with no kids and a govt employee so I don’t need your money!” and gave his number back to him and he stalked my azz for months when he would see me at a club!

Girl I was so over them and all the nice-ness, they were loud, were always playing/watching soccer. I needed my own space. Love them to def but it was time to go, but for 5 months I didn’t pay one bill or buy anything and that was a nice change!
And yes a lot of them do drive cabs, however, my husband is an accountant but he says he may try being a translator since he speaks 8 languages.
@ VIBABY… yes I seen alot of American men with ashy feet… but their feet don’t look like they can use their feet as a garden utensil and plow!
Let me stop… don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings… I’m just having fun!!
@Walking
It’s the I don’t give a f attitude girl I’m laughing at myself at how ruthless I used to be but hey they fell for it so I fed it to them…dastardly bastards lmao
@ Quetta, it could have been goat, feel lucky. LOL
@VI, I’m glad you can feel my pain. I mean a goat is a little pet aint it?

YAYYYYYYY! Felix was able to fix my hard drive!
He installed a new hard drive, put windows XP on it and used the new drive to look into the old drive and run chkdsk on the fried drive because the fried wouldn’t boot at all yesterday. So Chkdsk repaired all the corrupt files on the fried drive and then Felix told me to use it as a slave drive. But me being stubborn, I told him I want to see if the fried drive will boot up now and he laughed. Well, it booted right up! LOL.
If you need an expert computer guy who makes house calls, just call Felix at (404) 468-7616.
@ Karaz see you got me shooked I swear I hear drum beating. If I walk out my office and I see people coming down the hall like the did on the dancing scene fro Coming to America I’m going to pass the hell out!

@ Al-Ameera all I believe in is the good Lord that sits high in the sky. I will whisper back ” do I have to love those feet too”
Dead @ Quetta. Stop it I say!
My hubby has nice feet but never wears sandal/flip flops. I swear the men with the most dusty, bulletridden feet always have their damn feet exposed. WTF?!
And goat meat is the ish @Al-meera…lol I live in the south and they eat chitterlins and deer meat, but turn their noses up at some goat. Chile boooooo…lol

Yep!
It’s funny cuz my husband or the fashion wh*re (as my sister calls him) is all about dressing in name brands, generally only wears expensive shoes and always smells good. But what about the lotion? People always comment on how nice he looks but there are some days he will throw on some jeans, a polo shirt with the collar up and some flip flops with no lotion and then it all comes back who I am dealing with. I think where is this African going like that? LOL but I’m still keeping him!
@VI I dont eat chittlins, deer meat or goat and I am from the South. Goat may be good never tried it now I only eat chicken/fish so I am good yall enjoy though.
@Sandra is Felix cute
@Al-Ameera
Too cute where this african going like that-Girl the polo shirt with the collar up is so 80’s but you gotta love the nerve : )
y’all don’t know how hot it is in Africa, we can’t be putting on lotion and goign out in that hot azz sun, we’ll burn to a crisp! That’s why many of our men don’t wear lotion.
*Not true, but it’s my plausible explanation and i’m sticking to it. QUETTA SHUT IT NOW!*
@Daisy You act like you’re the average southerner..lol I am sure most ppl give you the *side eye* when you talk about all the things you DONT eat. SATDOWN! :lolol:

@Karaz a girl can dream cant she
VIBABY I don’t eat a lot of so called soul food either and I’m from the south! My family says “that’s that white side comin out!”

I dated a Nigerian in college and I never got this answer
One of his friends kicked off his sandals while were sitting in the food court at the mall eating. Not only did he expose his crusty, ashy feet but he wrapped them around the legs of the chair…like he was climbing a tree backwards.
@Corporate
OMG your african man was acting like a sloth in the food court holding my head in shame lmao so hard
Obviously if the store had any reason to be open, meaning if they were making any real money, it would have been. If it comes down to buying food and paying bills or shopping for high end apparel,well, Tags is a result of what happens.
Drive past a Goodwill Store sometimes. You’ll see almost
as many cars on their parking lot as you see at the Mall.
@daisy
I’m in the south too and my list is long as well. I don’t eat hog mog, chitlins, watermelon, kool-aid, or deer meat.

about the crusty feet because I think it’s genetic, mine gets regular pedicures and says nothing helps he said he still has hobbit feet no matter what and won’t show them because he’s afraid I’ll never talk to him again! LMAO
Can’t say I’m shocked. Her branding and marketing is really horrible. Too bad her and her PR crew didn’t know how to take full advantage of her 5 minutes of fame. Smh. Moving right along…

@Choco, your translation would be CORRECT! When he said that I laughed so hard I was crying for about 5min, he was like I need to just show you and get it over with, I said NO THANKS, remember we just had dinner!
Just checked out Kandi’s site.. wish I had some more BUTT for some of those jeans LOL and the friggin top I like is sold out.. guess I gotta sign up for that mailing list so I can be ontop of it from now on rather than relying on Blogs huh?
Wondering if Lisa McCoy’s reality show will go the direction of her thread post and be ignored
@Walking
Girl I can dig it like I said my beau’s feet look like hooves god please forgive me lmao
@Craz I dont eat greens, peppers, onions, tom, okra, pork, beef and so on and so forth
@Daisy with the exception of onions and okra I don’t like any of those either
@ Daisy & Al, No GREENS????
as a fellow loser of my black card I would like to say that you two as well have been revoked of yours! LOL, I lost mine when I admitted I don’t like hot sauce!
@Choco, you are wrong, but it’s hilarious!
@ Walking
Greens are yucky, all of them. Oh but I do like the turnips but the hate the greens. Does that count for anything?
Lol, ok Al I’m confused, turnips? Or turnip greens? That would determine if it counts or not
Turnip greens, I only eat the white turnip part NOT the green leaves.
What in dee hail???? Yall don’t like hotsauce or greens? Mannnnn I would kill for some greens right NOW. I just don’t have the energy right now. On sunday I made bbq ribs homemade mashed potatoes corn on the cob.
Ooooh I love corn on the cob!
