Jay-Z’s annual Made In America festival – scheduled to be held in Philadelphia next month – has been canceled.
The shocking announcement was made on Instagram on Tuesday. Organizers claimed the cancellation was “Due to severe circumstances outside of production control.”
“This decision has been difficult and has not been made lightly nor without immense deliberation. Made In America has a legacy of delivering exceptional experiences for music fans and concert goers, and it is our commitment to always deliver a top-tier festival experience.”
According to sources, the festival was canceled due to low tickets sales and because Lizzo was the headliner.
The embattled singer was sued by three former dancers who accused her of sexual harassment and body shaming.
Tickets to the 2-day festival will be refunded at the point of purchase.
Other artists on the bill included SZA, Metro Boomin, Latto, Coi Leray, Lil Yachty, Coco Jones, and more.
Jay Z did not respond to a blogger’s repeated requests for comment.
