Jay Z commented on the viral online debate, “If given the choice, would you take $500,000 or have lunch with Jay Z?”
Most people with common sense would take the money, but Jay Z often encounters aspiring rappers who tell him they would have lunch (or dinner) with him instead of half a million dollars.

In a sit-down interview with Gayle King on “CBS Mornings,” Jigga said he would take the money.
“You’ve gotta take the money,” he said, noting that he has no wisdom to offer anyone that isn’t already in his lyrics. “You’ve got all that in the music for $10.99.”
“I wouldn’t tell you to cut a bad deal. Like, take the $500,000, go buy some albums, and listen to the albums,” he said. “It’s all there. If you piece it together and really listen to the music for the words, well, what it is, it’s all there.”
Jay Z, 53, bragged that his rhymes have predicted the future — just like Nostradamus.
“Everything that I said was gonna happen, happened. Everything that I said I wanted to do, I’ve done,” he claims.
