Newly single rap mogul Jeezy flirted with single mom Nia Long during their hourlong podcast on Tuesday.
The single father opened up about his impending divorce from TV host Jeannie Mai.
Jeezy, 46, also revealed that he was sexually abused as a boy by his babysitter, which contributed to his traumatic childhood.
“I think it was several things,” he said. “I think the first was being left with a babysitter that was a woman that was older than me and her, you know, touching me and doing things to me that don’t normally happen to kids.”
“Like molesting?” the 53-year-old actress asked.
To which Jeezy responded, “Right, basically.”
Jeezy and Nia discussed their broken relationships and why he chose to file for divorce from Jeannie.
“This has not been an easy journey. I can tell you that I’m sad. I can tell you that I’m disappointed. I can tell you that I’m uneasy,” Jeezy told Nia.
“But God has put me on a different path, and that path is going to entail for me to take care of myself and to love myself and to be in the best situation that I can thrive as someone who’s been through all of the things that I’ve been through.”
Jeezy admitted that he and Jeannie tried therapy to save their marriage, but it didn’t work.
“I can only do what I can do. I can’t expect someone else to do what I’m doing,” Jeezy said.
Later in the interview, the mood lightened and the chemistry between Jeezy and Nia was undeniable.
The podcast was part of a promotion campaign for Jeezy’s new double album, I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget, which was released on Friday, Nov. 3.
Jeezy mentioned Nia on his track “Nothing to Prove”:
“Ever see Nia Long, I’m gettin’ at her (Yeah).”
