R&B singer Monica is the fourth artist to deny being booked to perform at Las Vegas’ Lovers & Friends Festival in May.
Monica, 43, and her son, Romelo, attended Clive Davis’s pre-Grammy Gala on Saturday.
She was asked to comment on Nicki Minaj’s Megan Thee Stallion diss track, titled “Big Foot.” But Mo’ wisely said she had not heard the track yet.
When Monica was asked about appearing at the upcoming Lovers & Friends music festival, she seemed surprised.
“Well, I’m looking forward to the festival,” she said. “I’m thinking that someone will call me and, uh, actually book me the correct way.”
Monica speaks being featured on Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2”, gets asked about “Big Foot”, and becomes the latest celebrity to reveal she wasn’t properly booked for “Lovers & Friends”

R&B legend Mary J. Blige, 53, also confirmed she was not booked for the Lovers & Friends concert.
Mary said that her name was “mistakenly” added to the Lovers and Friends lineup.
Rapper Juvenile was more blunt. He posted a video ordering festival organizers to take his name off the fliers.
“Whoever in charge of Lovers and Friends, y’all doing bad business, man. Y’all done put my name on the flier and y’all know you ain’t sent me no deposit,” he said.

And pastor-turned-podcaster Ma$e also complained that his name was added to the concert flier without his knowledge.
In a post on his Instagram Story, Ma$e said: “Take my name off any and all flyers for 2024… Anybody who tries to make any deals without me physically present is not at all any official business of mine. LET IT BE CLEAR ‘Nobody’ has the right to talk for me… Whether you think I know them or I have worked with them in the past or not!”
Putting an artist’s name on fliers to promote events is the oldest trick in the book.
Over the years, fans purchased tickets to concerts only to find out their favorite artist is a no-show.
It’s false advertising, but organizers simply blame it on a mix-up in communication.
The reality is there was no communication with the artist.
This year’s lineup includes Janet Jackson, Nas, Ludacris, Nelly & Ashanti, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, Akon, Ne-Yo, Ciara, Backstreet Boys, Gwen Stefani, TLC, Lil Wayne, Ja Rule, T-Pain, Timbaland, Keyshia Cole, Brandy, Eve, Jodeci, Kelly Rowland, Tyrese, Rick Ross, Method Man & Redman, Xscape, Tank, Ginuwine, Keri Hilson, Jeezy and many more.
Tickets are sold out according to the event website.
