A friend of the blog sent in this video about a sorority sister who just recently crossed over, but she is now denouncing her membership.
The young lady denounced her membership in the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority in an open letter.
Delta Sigma Theta boasts over 350,000 initiated members. To get into a sorority, you have to look a certain way and dress a certain way, or they turn their noses up at you.
It seems that there is an agenda to bring down these sororities as atonement for rejecting women who don’t have the look the sorority wanted.
TikTok user (and Delta member) “Lavern” (@scholarshipcollegemama) is outraged that the soror has denounced her membership in the Delta sorority.
Laverne declares that other sorors are planning to denounce, as well. Laverne’s video gained over 1.5 million views on TikTok.
“Are these ladies just making line to turn around and then go viral by denouncing?” she asked.
No, Laverne. They’re denouncing due to your organization’s longstanding tradition of rejecting Black women who don’t look like you.
The public comeuppance is long past due.
