The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released Deion Sanders‘ eldest son, Shilo Sanders, after he was ejected from the team’s final preseason game for throwing a punch at a Buffalo Bills player.

Shilo, 25, threw a punch at Bills tight end Zach Davidson in the Buccaneers’ 23-19 loss to the Bills at home on Saturday.

The two players were pushing and shoving each other when Shilo threw a punch that connected with Zach’s helmet. Refs immediately ejected him.

On Sunday night, the Bucs announced they were waiving Shilo, along with other rookies to cut down their roster to 53 players.

“You can’t throw punches in this league. It’s inexcusable. They’re gonna get you every time,” Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said. “You gotta grow from that.”

Shilo was signed by the Buccaneers after going un-drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft in April. His brother, Shedeur, was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 5th round.

Sports writers say Shilo may end up playing on the Browns team with his brother because the NFL “owes” Shedeur.

Rams legend Eric Dickerson said the NFL told teams not to draft Shedeur in April.

Saturday was a bad day for both of Deion’s sons.

In the Browns’ final preseason game, Shedeur, 23, was sacked 5 times and fumbled the football twice. The Browns managed to defeat the Rams 19-17.
