Snoop Dogg issued a statement following the death of his 11-month-old granddaughter Codi Dreaux on January 26.

Codi was born 6 months prematurely in February 2025. The miracle baby spent most of her life in a neonatal intensive care unit before being discharged home in December.

On Saturday, Jan. 31, the rapper’s 26-year-old daughter Cori announced Codi’s tragic passing.

“Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. She shared a black & white photo of herself holding her baby.

In December 2024, Cori announced she was expecting her first baby with fiancé, Wayne Deuce. In February 2025, she revealed their daughter had been born prematurely.

“The princess arrived at 6 months,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that He got me! Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this.”

In September, she wrote: “Becoming a NICU mom was not part of the plan, but it became part of my story. September is NICU Awareness Month, and I carry my little warrior’s strength with me every day.”

Baby Codi spent 10 months in Neonatal ICU. In December, Cori shared the news that baby Codi was discharged home.

“She’s home,” Cori wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”

Codi died a month later in January.

Cori and Wayne got engaged in November 2022. They had planned to get married in 2024. But their plans were delayed when she suffered a stroke and ended up in ICU in 2024.

“I know he’s the one,” Snoop said of Wayne during an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”

“As a father, you know, I’m gonna speak for him because, as a father, one thing you know is when it’s your baby girl, you ain’t gonna hand her off to nobody who ain’t gonna handle her with care.”
