Michael Jordan’s NASCAR team, 23XI Racing, celebrated its first Daytona 500 victory on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
“I can’t believe it. It’s so gratifying,” the 6x NBA champ said after celebrating with his driver, Tyler Reddick, in Victory Lane.
“You never know how these races are going to end. You’re just trying to survive,” Jordan added.
It was Jordan’s first major victory as a NASCAR team co-owner. His major Daytona 500 win came just over 2 months after 23XI (pronounced twenty-three eleven) settled a lawsuit with NASCAR.

Unfortunately, Jordan’s Daytona 500 victory was tarnished by something he did in Victory Lane.
A live network feed shows Jordan (far right) inappropriately touching a young boy and rubbing the back of his thigh.
The boy was later identified as Beau, son of winning driver Tyler Reddick.
Many observers say the boy looked “uncomfortable” when Jordan repeatedly touched him and rubbed his leg.
With all the controversy surrounding the Epstein files, the video is not a good look for the NBA legend (Jordan is not named in the files).
It’s difficult For NASCAR fans to justify the NBA Hall of Famer touching a boy inappropriately on live television. Many fans are disturbed by Jordan’s actions.
Others say Jordan is “like an uncle” to Beau, and that social media is making a big deal out of nothing.
The video below contains scenes that may be disturbing to some viewers.
