Rapper Pooh Shiesty and his dad were arrested by the feds. Shiesty, real name Lontrell Williams Jr., was arrested Wednesday in Dallas, Texas, and booked in connection to a federal criminal case, TMZ reports.
FBI agents executed search warrants at the Memphis-area home of the rapper’s father, Lontrell Williams, on Wednesday. Williams Sr. was also taken into custody, according to TMZ.
Officials have not announced the charges against Pooh Shiesty and his father.
Fox 13 reports that federal agents raided a home in Cordova, Tennessee, east of Memphis. Agents were seen carrying boxes and bags of evidence out of the home.
In January 2022, Shiesty pleaded guilty to shooting a man at a hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, in October 2020. The victim survived. Shiesty faced life in prison, but he accepted a plea deal in exchange for 5 years behind bars.
The aspiring rapper was released from a federal prison in October 2025 after serving 3 years of his sentence.
There were reports that he was back in federal custody as of January 2026, with a pending release date of April 2027.
Shiesty was an independent rapper before signing with Gucci Mane’s 1017 record label in April 2020.
According to Memphis insiders, Shiesty and his longtime collaborator, aspiring rapper Big 30, reunited after Shiesty was released from prison in October 2025.
Shiesty and Big 30 allegedly robbed Gucci Mane at gunpoint and stole his wedding ring. Allegedly, Lontrell Williams Sr. was also at the recording studio when the robbery went down.
Shiesty allegedly intended to get out of his recording contract with Gucci Mane by allegedly robbing him.
Podcaster Adam22 said there may be some truth to the rumors.
“I do feel like if it had no truth to it, that Gucci would’ve debunked it more forcefully,” Adam22 said. “I’m not saying that he necessarily took the ring from him, but it does seem like Gucci Mane very much had plans on Pooh Shiesty being his artist and continuing to work with him when he got out of prison.”
Big 30 is allegedly on the run.
