Jalen Rose’s daughter, Mariah Rose, says WNBA free agent Natasha Cloud is currently unemployed because of her political views.

WNBA champion Natasha Cloud is apparently blacklisted by the league because of her vocal support for Palestine.

“The season could start and Natasha Cloud is not a part of the WNBA because of her political views. It ain’t because of basketball that a WNBA champion ain’t on a team. It’s because she’s vocal about her political views, including supporting Palestine.”

Mariah continued:

“She’s been very vocal about ‘Free Palestine.’ She reposts a lot of stuff on TikTok. She is known for being a social justice advocate ever since she’s been in the league. She’s been advocating for Black people and for the WNBA players themselves to be making the money that they deserve.”

Natasha, 34, was one of the WNBA’s best defenders, but she found herself in the crosshairs when she bashed the league during the CBA proposal talks. She also showed support for Palestine in TikTok videos.

Natasha’s fans circled the wagons when she remained unsigned at the start of the WNBA training camp last week.

One person wrote on X.com: “wtf did natasha cloud ever f***ing do to any of you for yall to be this nasty? one of the most genuine and positive people truly a very easy person to root for it’s just so irritating.”

Another person wrote: “sorry but im not f***ing with people who are laughing at natasha cloud for not getting signed yet. she spoke up about important issues that most players haven’t so what’s so funny about her possibly being blacklisted due to her activism?”

In a message to her fans on Threads, Natasha wrote: “I’m okay. Just taking things in; even if they weren’t what I expected, & trusting I’ll be alright.”

The writing was on the wall last season when Natasha’s tough defense injured the league’s golden goose, Caitlin Clark.
