Michelle Obama is considered one of the most stylish former first ladies in U.S. history. But her latest appearances have sparked fears that she’s not well.
Michelle looked noticeably thin in a recent appearance, that sparked rumors she’s taking GLP-1 drugs including semaglutide injections like Ozempic or Wegovy to lose weight.

Social media users expressed fear for Michelle’s health. Her appearance has led people to speculate whether she’s taking Ozempic injections.
“Is she OK?” one person wrote on Instagram. “I am not against [GLP-1 drugs] but she is aging differently than I expected.”
Another person wrote, “I think she was sick, I hope all is well and that she is very healthy.”

A third person wrote: “She slimmed down a lot. A fourth person commented: “Michelle is on GLP-1 for sure.”
According to RadarOnline, Tara Roscioli, a nutrition practitioner and certified holistic health coach, said, “I suspect that if Michelle Obama is utilizing a GLP-1, she is using it as a tool after first establishing sound nutrition, strength training, prioritizing quality sleep, and reducing stress.”
“A GLP-1 medication may very well be part of her weight loss approach, as it would provide a metabolic boost her body needs post-menopause,” Roscioli added.
However, other experts say celebrities who do not have type 2 diabetes and aren’t morbidly obese are abusing the drugs.
Michelle has been candid about the effects of menopause on her weight, fitness and mental health.

“Some of it is menopause, some of it is aging,” she said in an interview. “I find that I cannot push myself as hard as I used to. That doesn’t work out for me. That’s when I tear a muscle or pull something, and then I’m out. The recovery time is not the same.”
“Every month, far too many of us experience excruciating cramps and days of nausea. As we struggle through menopause, crippling hot flashes, and depression, too many women my age are unaware of what’s happening to our bodies,” she said at a rally in Michigan in 2024.
“A woman’s body is a complicated business… it brings life and that is beautiful but even when we are not bearing children there is so much that can go wrong at any moment,” she continued.
