A young boy was savagely beaten by three teenage thugs on a Pinellas County school bus recently. The 13-year-old boy suffered a broken hand and facial injuries when three thugs.
But the bigger story here is the racist Pinellas County police department’s decision to seek charges against the 64-year-old bus driver for not doing enough to stop the attack.
We’ve all seen videos of similar incidents of violence on board school buses and city buses. The bus drivers rarely get out of their seats to intervene for fear of becoming victims themselves.
It’s clear that the police, prosecutors and the media are quick to judge James Moody because he is the same race as the three attackers.
The three thugs, Joshua Reddin, Julian McKnight and Lloyd Khemradj, were quickly arrested. Of course the mainstream media has pounced all over this story about a white boy being attacked by black thugs while the black bus driver did nothing.
On the contrary, James Moody did everything he was supposed to do on July 9. When the thugs attack the 13-year-old, Moody called the dispatcher to report the attack.
“You gotta get somebody here quick, quick, quick, quick,” he said. “They’re about to beat this boy to death over here.”
“Please get somebody here quick. There’s still doing it,” he adds. “There’s nothing I can do.”
What else was he supposed to do?
According to Gulfport Police Chief Robert Vincent, who released video of the incident to the media, Moody should have done more.
“There was time for him to intervene and or check on the welfare of the child in this case. He didn’t make any effort to do so and that’s what we want to bring to the attention of the prosecutor,” said Chief Vincent.
What video was the chief of police watching?
Did he not see Mr. Moody get up out of his seat and yell at the thugs to leave the kid alone? Did he not see Moody walk over to the victim to see if he was injured? Didn’t he hear Moody call the dispatcher to report the crime?
Moody is 64-years-old. But his age doesn’t matter, only his skin color. Prosecutors are considering charging Moody for child neglect!
If Mr. Moody had been an elderly white man, he would not have been expected to throw himself between the crazed thugs who committed the assault.
“Me jumping in the middle of that fight with three boys, it would have been more dangerous for other students on the bus for as myself,” Moody told Piers Morgan on CNN’s Piers Morgan Live. “There’s just no telling what might have happened,” said Moody.
Obama’s historic election was supposed to bring the races together in this country. But it seems his election has caused an even wider divide between whites and blacks.
