Chicago Sky players are furious over statements made by teammate Angel Reese in a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune.
In an unprecedented move, Reese threw her teammates under the bus. She said she is considering moving on after the Sky was eliminated from the WNBA playoffs for the second year in a row.
With a record of 10-30, the Chicago Sky are currently near the bottom of the WNBA standings. Only the Connecticut Sun (10-31) and the Dallas Wings (9-32) have worse records this season.

Multiple league sources told Front Office Sports that the entire team has seen Reese’s comments.
A team meeting will be held in which the players plan to directly address Reese over her comments.
One league source said Reese’s future with the team is uncertain.
Reese told the Chicago Tribune she wants the Chicago Sky to build around her. “I’m not settling for the same s– we did this year,” Reese said. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me.”
She continued: “I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me.”
Reese said the Sky’s point guards aren’t good enough to get the job done.
She praised the Sky’s injured point guard Courtney Vandersloot, but she said Vandersloot is too old at age 36 to help the team.
Vandersloot, who won a WNBA championship with the NY Liberty last year, is expected to return from an ACL tear injury soon.
“We can’t rely on Courtney to come back at the age that she’s at,” Reese said. “I know she’ll be a great asset for us, but we can’t rely on that. We need someone probably a little younger with some experience, somebody who’s been playing the game and is willing to compete for a championship and has done it before.”

On Wednesday, Reese apologized for her statements. She said her frustration was more about herself than the team.
“I didn’t intentionally mean to put down my teammates… I already apologized to them,” she said. “What I say can be taken any type of way, and I want to grow from this.”
Reese received her 8th technical foul of the season during the Sky’s dominant 88-64 win over the Sun on Wednesday.
She is suspended for one game and will miss the Sky’s matchup against Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever on Friday, Sept. 5. Clark is still out with a groin injury.

“It’s a blessing, because there was definitely a time when nobody was messing with each other,” she said in an interview in 2014. “I can’t say that. Me and [Ja Rule] were always talking. Wait, I can’t say that either. We went through a space, which was not cool. Me and Irv definitely went through years of where there was not even half of a breath said…or breathed.”

Sutter Health has terminated the employees responsible for the inappropriate and insensitive photos posted on social media. This unacceptable behavior is an outright violation of our policies, shows a lack of respect for our patients and will not be tolerated.
Nearly a dozen staff members at a Sansum’s urgent care clinic appeared in a TikTok video that went viral over the Labor Day weekend.

An employee wrote: “Guess the substance.”
Another caption read: “Make sure to leave your healthcare workers sweet gifts like these.”

In a previous statement on Tuesday, Sutter Health said the person who uploaded the video to TikTok left the company in July.
That former employee deleted her TikTok page after the video went viral, sparking outrage on other social media platforms.
The ex-staffer previously shared a photo of a toilet stall splattered with feces with the caption, “A great way to start my shift,” according to the Santa Barbara Independent.
“If that is what they post publicly, imagine what goes on privately,” one person wrote on Reddit.com.

Rickey Smiley, host of the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, roasted influencer Brittany Renner for “antagonizing” NBA star PJ Washington in a viral video on Labor Day.
PJ and Brittany argued when he arrived at her house to pick up their son for his weekly visitation.
The baby started to cry during the exchange. Brittany told PJ it was the third time their son cried when he arrived to pick him up.
“He doesn’t wanna go with you,” she told PJ. “So actually show up and do something with him ’cause he does this every time.”
“That’s because y’all baby him,” PJ said. He was referring to Brittany and her mother.
Brittany’s mom then exchanged expletives with PJ before telling him he pays his “h–” $170,000 while his son only has $11,000 in the bank.
In a livestream video on Tuesday, Rickey Smiley took PJ’s side. He called Brittany a “narcissist.”
“Women like that is the problem,” Rickey said. “The fact that he’s showing up to pick his son up is everything. But you coming out there and antagonizing him about the baby crying, or whatever, and now you not gonna let him get his son because the baby cry?”
Rickey dragged Brittany for following PJ out to the car and arguing with him in front of the child. He blamed Brittany for putting on a show to upset the baby during the custody exchange.
Rickey added that Brittany intentionally tried to make the exchange “a bad experience” for the child.
“You trying to make the exchange a bad experience for him ’cause it’s all about you. What a narcissist! And I don’t give a damn who get mad,” Rickey said.
Montell Jordan says his cancer has returned after he had his prostate removed last year.
The “This Is How We Do It” singer opened up about his cancer recurrence during an appearance on TODAY on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
The pastor/singer’s cancer was diagnosed in 2024 with a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test that looks for prostate cancer markers in the blood. A marker is protein produced by the prostate gland. Too much of this protein in the blood could indicate prostate cancer.
Jordan’s doctor recommended removing his prostate to stop the cancer in its tracks.
“My prostate was removed. There were clear margins,” he told TODAY.
Clear margins means no cancer is detected in the body during surgery and all of the cancer was removed.
Jordan said his cancer was detected early because he had his PSA blood levels tested often.
“Early detection is the thing that allows me to have a choice to treat [my cancer] and live and to continue giving myself the best quality of life possible,” Jordan said.
A year after his prostate was removed, doctors found cancer cells in his lymph nodes. He will undergo radiation therapy to kill the cancer cells.
Jordan, 56, has partnered with the nonprofit Zero Prostate Cancer to address the negative attitudes and stigma attached to prostate cancer. Because the prostate “deals with manhood,” he said, and “that is definitely a reason why men don’t talk about it.”
“I’m trying to give a template for people that get diagnosed with this to know they have options available to them,” Jordan added.
“It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to shake your fist at God. It’s okay to navigate and do what you need to do, but doing nothing is not an option,” he said. “I never knew there was such a thing as being a two-time cancer survivor, so that’s the journey that I’m on right now.”
Dallas Mavericks star PJ Washington signed a $90 million contract extension for four more years. LIFT Sports Management confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
PJ also confirmed the contract extension on Wednesday in a social media post on X.
He made headlines on Monday when he got into an argument with his baby’s mother, Brittany Renner, during custody exchange on Labor Day.
Brittany and PJ share custody of their son, Paul Jermaine Washington III.
“He doesn’t want to go with you,” Brittany told PJ when their son started crying.
“So actually show up and do something with him ’cause he does this every time,” she said.
Brittany’s mother, who was recording on her phone, criticized PJ’s priorities.
“Suck my d–k,” PJ told Brittany’s mom. “If you had one, baby, I would,” she responded.
PJ Washington and Brittany Renner get into a heated argument ?
Brittany, 33, is probably heated because she only receives $2,500 a month in child support for their son. She still has to work part-time jobs to make ends meet.
Instagram
Meanwhile, PJ’s wife, Alisah Chanel, 28, is a social media influencer who recently gave him a 2025 Rolls-Royce Cullinan worth $472,000 for his 27th birthday.
Alisah and PJ share a 3-year-old son named Preston Julian.
Life is good for PJ and Alisah, while Brittany is still struggling financially. No wonder she’s mad.
Sherri Shepherd went makeup-free after a doctor said she needed a facelift. The 58-year-old TV talk show host and actress shared a makeup-free selfie on Instagram.

Sherri captioned the video: “A doctor told me I needed a facelift … So many around me are doing it and there is no judgment from me. This world doesn’t honor the beauty that comes from age and living a full life.”
She continued: “This is my natural face with no makeup. The lines around my mouth are deep because of the laughter from my soul… my eyes are droopy because of the weight of tears I have shed. I have two chins because I have had to hold up anxiety, worry & beautiful memories. My lips turn downward but they quickly turn upwards with joy. My nose gets fuller every year because I need to breathe in a lot of peace.”
She concluded: “The doctor wanted to do multiple fillers to give me a ‘refreshed’ look but I think for right now, I am loving me just as I am. A warrior.”
Sherri previously denied taking Ozempic or Wegovy® (Semaglutide) to lose weight.
