Sean Combs’ Prison Release Date Moved Up Again

Sean Combs’ prison release date has been moved up for the 5th time. Combs, 56, is serving a 4-year prison sentence on prostitution charges.

Combs, a.k.a. “Brother Love,” “Diddy,” “Puffy,” and “Puff Daddy,” was previously set to be released on April 25, 2028. The Federal Bureau of Prisons moved his release date up to February 28, 2028 without explanation.

The Bureau of Prisons noted that it does “not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual, including release plans.” Combs’ release date has been changed five times since he began serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.

His attorneys are still trying to appeal his conviction. He currently faces around 70 civil lawsuits, including a lawsuit filed on June 9, from a former child actor.

In a March 13 filing, Combs’ defense team called the original 50-month sentence a “perversion of justice” and pushed for immediate release, an acquittal or at least a new hearing.

They argued that the biased New York judge relied too heavily on conduct the jury did not actually find him guilty of during the eight-week trial.

In a legal victory, a judge tossed out Dawn Richard’s lawsuit that accused her former boss of creating an abusive work environment. The judge said she filed too late.

Dawn was a former member of Combs’ R&B groups Danity Kane and Diddy – Dirty Money. She claimed Combs deprived her of sleep, raised his voice at her and threw objects, including a laptop and food at her.

Combs’ lawyer said Dawn “manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a payday.”

Stepbrother of Anna Kepner ordered into federal custody

Timothy Hudson, the 16-year-old stepbrother of Anna Kepner, was ordered into federal custody 7 months after she was found dead on a cruise ship. CBS News reports he will be held in federal custody until his trial. He was free since the murder in November.

“The Government has established, by clear and convincing evidence, that no condition or combination of conditions of release will reasonably assure the safety of the community going forward,” Magistrate Judge Edwin G. Torres wrote in his order on June 10.

Judge Torres ordered Timothy to be handed over to the U.S. Marshals Service on Monday morning and transferred first to the Citrus County Jail. He will then be transferred to the Miami-Dade County Metro West Detention Center by no later than July 10.

A housekeeper found Anna’s body under the bed in her stateroom on board the Carnival Horizon cruise ship on November 7, 2025. Her cause of death was ruled as mechanical asphyxiation.

Anna was killed “on or about November 6-7, 2025,” after the cruise ship left the port of Miami. CBS News reported that she had been traveling with her dad, his wife, two siblings and two stepsiblings.

Anna had gone back to her room on the evening of November 6 after telling the family she was not feeling well.

At the time of her death, Anna was sharing the room with Timothy and a half sibling, according to court documents filed by Timothy’s parents.

Shauntel Hudson, Anna Kepner’s stepmother, said Anna, Timothy and a 14-year-old half-brother shared the room on the advice of a travel agent. Shauntel testified that the three teenagers “wanted to stay together” in the room.

Anna’s grandmother told ABC News that her granddaughter and Timothy “were just like brother and sister” and were “two peas in a pod.”

However, Anna’s ex-boyfriend told reporters at her memorial service that Anna did not enjoy spending time with Timothy.

On Dec. 5, 2025, a Florida judge announced Timothy, then known only as “T.H.”, was “a suspect” in Anna’s death.

After 5 months of investigation by the FBI, Timothy was indicted on charges of murder and aggravated sexual abuse on April 13, 2026. The FBI stated Timothy sexually assaulted Anna, before intentionally killing her.

The FBI investigated the case since crimes on the high seas fall under federal jurisdiction. An FBI agent testified that Timothy tried to destroy and dispose of Anna’s cell phone.

A crew member discovered the smashed phone in a trash can on board the ship. Despite the damage, the FBI was able to download the phone’s contents. They matched the movement of the cell phone with surveillance video on the ship and were able to determine that it was Timothy who discarded the cell phone in a trash can on the other side of the ship.

The agent testified that a crucial piece of evidence in the case is still missing.

Anna’s family expressed disappointment when he wasn’t taken into custody earlier this year. Timothy had been sent to live with relatives after appearing in a Miami federal court in February.

“At this time, it is deeply painful and disturbing to our family that the person responsible is able to walk freely,” Shauntel and Christopher Hudson said in a statement in February.

Timothy will be tried as an adult in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, according to PEOPLE. He faces life in prison if convicted.

The portrait was painted by internationally renowned artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby. The Obamas got their first look at the portrait in the presidential library on Sunday, June 14.

“It’s us and all of the stories within the stories,” the former first lady said in a video posted to social media on Monday.

Jelly Roll has filed for divorce from his long-suffering wife, Bunnie XO, after 10 years of marriage. Jelly Roll (born Jason DeFord), filed for divorce in May, according to court records obtained by TMZ.

The divorce action comes after the country music star, 41, praised Bunnie (Alisa DeFord) during an emotional Grammy Awards speech after winning Best Contemporary Country Album in February. “I want to thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail,” he said. “I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that.”

Jelly and Bunnie packed on the PDA on the red carpet and in the audience during the Grammy ceremony, PEOPLE reported.

Jelly and Bunnie met at one of his concerts at Las Vegas’ Country Saloon in 2015. They secretly tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2016. She helped him raise his 2 children, while he allegedly cheated on her.

Despite his womanizing, they renewed their wedding vows at the same Vegas chapel in 2023. Jelly Roll admitted that his cheating early in their marriage was “one of the worst moments of my adulthood.”

Bunnie commented on his cheating ways in her 2026 memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic. She said he had a 10-month affair with another woman in 2018.

“A lot of people… are like, ‘Why didn’t you leave?’ And I’m like, ‘I did leave.’ I did leave him and we were split for about 30 days,” she told PEOPLE in January. “But I just loved that man so much that I just really, truly believe that he deserved a second chance.”

In her memoir, Bunnie said their motto is “that we aren’t each other’s possessions and consider our relationship to be free, not open.”

Bunnie helped Jelly Roll shed 275 pounds in his weight loss journey. “I’ve worked really hard and lost the weight the right way,” the singer said in his Men’s Health magazine cover story.

In a 2024 PEOPLE cover story, Jelly Roll said, “I prioritize family, and that’s what anchors me down. Everything that I believe going right for me is in the fact that I’m pretty grounded in my family.”

Jelly Roll is father to daughter Bailee, 18, and son Noah, 9, from previous relationships. He said Bunnie cherished her role as stepmother to his kids. They spoke about their desire to have children of their own via in-vitro fertilization (IVF).

Bunnie, 46, wrote in her memoir that they’d found a surrogate and they hoped to have twins.

“I think we’re just ready for a piece of us,” she told PEOPLE in January. “It has not been easy, but I know that God has a plan and he’s going to make it work. I really do. I have no doubt in my mind.”

Elon Musk’s SpaceX IPO Created Instant Millionaires in Immigrant Community

A Mexican immigrant who worked for SpaceX since 2015 became an instant millionaire overnight after SpaceX’s historic IPO debut. Former welder Juan Hernandez is among hundreds of immigrants who became instant millionaires after the IPO’s record-setting debut.

It’s estimated that 4,400 SpaceX employees are instant millionaires after the IPO debut on June 12.

Among them are cafeteria workers who accepted lower pay in exchange for SpaceX stocks. Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a welding contractor job at SpaceX earning $28 per hour in 2015.

SpaceX gave Hernandez $10,000 worth of stock at the time. Over the years, Hernandez advanced from welding rockets to building the structures that lifted rockets onto the launch pad to being a supervisor. Today, his shares are worth just under $1 million.

“It was just another contract job for me at the time,” Hernandez told a reporter. “A friend that I met at another job ended up in SpaceX, and then he called me. I told him, I don’t even know what SpaceX is, but let’s go.”

“It wasn’t a big deal,” he said of the $10,000 worth of stocks. “I didn’t know anything about it then. I didn’t know it was gonna be this big, at this point.”

“As an immigrant, you know, I was always taught just to work hard, do the best I can at what I do,” Hernandez said.

Launch engineer Trevor Hise, who joined SpaceX as a college graduate, held over 100,000 SpaceX shares, which are worth $16 million today.

“The magnitude of this has been ridiculous,” he said.

Former SpaceX engineer J. André Lavoie, 63, holds SpaceX shares worth over $28 million. Lavoie plans to use his money to renovate a hotel he purchased.

Hernandez and the others don’t have the money in hand just yet. They can’t sell their shares during the lock-up period (usually 90 days to 180 days). The stock price would tumble if they all sold their shares at the same time.

SpaceX stock opened at $135 on June 12 and surged to $220 in pre-trading on Tuesday, June 16.

Executive producer Connie Orlando, of the Connie Orlando Foundation, explained why the event is so important to her.

“This gathering is the living answer to a prayer. We are here to support one another, protect our presence, and build a legacy of love that lights the way for the girls coming behind us,” she said. “As we celebrate unapologetically and stand in our collective joy, we know the reality of our world. As Black women, we are constantly asked to labor and be the backbone, often while our own well-being is ignored. We live in a climate that tries to minimize our power and rewrite our truth. For me, this evening is profoundly personal. Uplifting women, safeguarding our children is my divine assignment and life calling, and the urgency is real.”

Sylvia Rhone at The Black Women in Music Dinner. Photo: ZUMAPRESS.com / MEGA

Orlando continued: “This evening is my personal love letter to the iconic Black women who are the true guardians of the music industry. Having worked alongside many of you for decades, you are my peers, my muses and my friends, and it is my privilege to curate this evening, give you your flowers, and ensure your contributions to global culture are permanently etched in history.

“And specifically for this evening, we are fighting a battle against breast cancer, a battle that is disproportionately stealing our mothers, our daughters, our sisters and our friends. Black women face alarming healthcare disparities born from systemic inequalities resulting in delayed diagnosis and inadequate treatment. So, my vision is clear: a world where breast cancer no longer exists. The Orlando Foundation is spiritually committed to education, prevention, and early detection.”
