NBA star Ja Morant‘s little sister Teniya Morant is ready to prove to the world that she has what it takes to make it in the WNBA!

Teniya’s 2X NBA All-Star brother Ja Morant is a generational star, but he can’t stay out of trouble with the league.

Ja, 25, was recently fined $75,000 for making finger gun gestures during 2 NBA games. Then, on Tuesday night, he appeared to toss a hand “grenade” into the crowd after scoring a 3-pointer.

His sister, Teniya Morant first showcased her basketball abilities at Houston High School in Germantown. Like her older brother, recruiters didn’t come knocking on her door.

Teniya, 20, didn’t have any offers from colleges to play basketball. But that changed in May 2023, when she announced her commitment to Mississippi Valley State University. MVSU is a historically Black university in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).

Teniya’s high school coach, Justin Lewis spoke highly of her basketball skills. “They’re getting a tenacious player that gives it her all on the floor. Somebody that’s going to be vocal. She’s going to work hard,” he tells The Commercial Appeal.

Despite her hard work getting to MVSU, Teniya only played in three games for the Devilettes during the 2024-2025 season. She recently entered the transfer portal to explore her options.

Niya explained that she entered the transfer portal because she needed “a change in environment”.

“My decision to enter the transfer portal is not made lightly, and it comes after much reflection on what is best for my future development as a student-athlete,” she said at the time.

Remember when a deranged fan ‘Swatted’ Nicki Minaj‘s $19 million Hidden Hills, CA. home back in 2023?

Well, it happened again this week.

“Swatting” is when someone makes a false call to 911 that triggers a massive SWAT team response to a person’s home.

According to TMZ, Nicki’s home was targeted in yet another Swatting call on Wednesday night.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. received a call reporting an “assault” was taking place at a residence in Hidden Hills, where Nicki lives.

Police showed up to an empty house shortly after 7 p.m. on Wednesday. There were no signs of a disturbance on the property.

Nicki was targeted once before by a loony fan back in June 2023 when a woman named “Stephanie Bell” sent police to Nicki’s home.

It happened again in July 2023. The police responded to another swatting call claiming that shots were fired inside the home.

Nicki identified a stalker as the alleged suspect at the time. Police even took out an arrest warrant for the Stan.

In a post on Twitter in August 2023, Nicki wrote:

“A warrant is in the system. Great detective work. So grateful. The DA filed one count for the swatting call and one for the false report to DCFS. To God be the glory.”

Nicki purchased the 12,000-square-foot, 8-bedroom, nine-bathroom farmhouse in 2022. She was the first resident to occupy the home that was built brand new by a developer. The house is now worth much more than the price she paid 3 years ago.

The news comes just days after Nicki was named the greatest female rapper in Hip-Hop history by Billboard magazine.

According to Billboard, Nicki’s body of work, achievements, cultural impact/influence, longevity in the game, and her lyrical flow all made her the clear choice among rappers such as MC Lyte, Cardi B and Glorilla.

Keri Hilson (right) called out fellow singer-songwriter Ester Dean for saying they co-wrote a Beyoncé diss track that ended Keri’s career 16 years ago.

During an emotional appearance on The Breakfast Club, Keri revealed music producer Polow Da Don forced her to record the leaked “Turning Me On” remix, and that she has protected the actual songwriter for years.

After Keri’s interview aired, Ester hopped into the comments on Instagram and happily took credit for co-writing the diss track alongside Keri. Ester said, “we wrote it together she sang it alone.”

In a lengthy post on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Keri checked Ester for letting her take the heat from Beyoncé’s fans for 16 years. She also wasn’t happy that Ester said they co-wrote the song together.

“You used the word co-wrote. I RE-wrote 3 lines in your verse. Which was the only battle I won in the whole matter,” Keri wrote. “But you weren’t there when all this was going down, and we didn’t write it together.”

Keri listed the exact lines she wrote in “the softest section” of the song. Keri said she “strongly” disagreed with the “unnecessary hateful sentiments towards other women,” and she’s never been a fan of publicity stunts.

Then Keri addressed Ester staying quiet for all those years.

“You chose to stay quiet for 16 years, but coming out only now, when you felt a portion of the heat I’ve gotten all this time,” she wrote.

Karmelo Anthony raises more money than his victim amid efforts to remove his fundraiser

Conservative activists have joined forces to take down a $318,000 fundraiser for a teenager suspected of killing a high school football star in Frisco, Texas.

Karmelo Anthony, 17, has officially raised more money than his victim’s family to pay for his legal expenses.

Anthony is charged with fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf, also 17, at a high school track meet held in Kuykendall Stadium around 10 a.m. on April 2.

Anthony, a straight-A student at Centennial High School, fatally stabbed Metcalf, a Memorial High School star football player, during a dispute in a Memorial team tent.

A witness who was sitting with Metcalf in the team tent said a boy they didn’t recognize approached them to take shelter from the rain.

Metcalf asked Anthony to leave the tent, but he refused. The witness said Anthony reached into a black gym bag and told Metcalf, “Touch me and see what happens.”

One witness said Metcalf grabbed Anthony, but another witness said Metcalf shoved Anthony out of the tent.

Seconds later, Anthony plunged a knife into Metcalf’s chest and ran away. The knife pierced Metcalf’s heart. He took his final breath in his twin brother’s arms.

Police recovered the murder weapon — described as a butcher’s knife with a black handle — discarded in the bleachers.

Anthony is being held in the Collin County Jail on $1 million bail. His attorneys plan to ask a judge to lower the bail amount and release him on house arrest.

The lawyers called the bond “excessive” in court documents.

“Karmelo, like all citizens of the United States, is entitled to a fair and impartial legal process,'” the attorneys said. “We are committed to ensuring that Karmelo’s rights are indeed protected throughout each phase of the criminal justice system.”

Anthony’s spokesperson admitted the 6′ 1″ football player was not bullied by Austin Metcalf before the fatal stabbing.

A GoFundMe page launched by Metcalf’s father, Jeff, raised $318,443 by Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, a GiveSendGo account created by Anthony’s parents has raised $318,852 for his legal expenses.

A GoFundMe account that had raised $60,000 for Anthony was deleted and the money refunded to donors by GoFundMe, which has a strict policy against fundraisers for those charged with crimes.

Austin Metcalf’s supporters are working to get Anthony’s GiveSendGo fundraiser taken down as well.

A conservative attorney, known as Ladylawyer on X (Twitter), is pushing to have Anthony’s fundraiser removed.

“As promised, I have contacted GiveSendGo and filed a claim for fraud committed by the family of Karmelo Anthony,” she wrote. “Being limited to 1000 characters is limiting enough, without being able to provide evidence. However, I did include 2 links confirming the purpose of the Fund, as well as a link to the now-defunct GoFundMe account with the exact same photo.”

Rapper Soulja Boy has been ordered to pay $4 million to a woman who accused him of sexual battery.

On Thursday afternoon, April 10, a Santa Monica, California jury found the rapper liable for intentional infliction of emotional distress, sexual harassment, and failure to pay wages.

The accuser originally asked the jury to award her $73.6 million.

According to XXL magazine, the jury did not find the Chicago-born rapper liable for false imprisonment or creating a hostile work environment.

In a previous lawsuit in 2023, a Los Angeles judge granted Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend’s motion to seize his luxury vehicles and sports cars to settle her lawsuit.

K.M. sued Soulja Boy for pistol-whipping her during an incident at his home on February 1, 2019. K.M. told police that Soulja Boy held a gun to her head and told her she was going to die.

Soulja Boy allegedly told her to perform a sex act on his assistant to gain her freedom. Afterwards, K.M. said she was dragged by her hair inside the house and forced to take two showers to eliminate evidence.

Soulja Boy was arrested for the incident in 2019, and he later posted bond.

Christina Milian dropped a Not So Blind Item during an appearance on the “R&B Money” podcast co-hosted by Tank and J. Valentine.

The singer/actress recalled the night she ended up going to a strip club with a “very popular R&B/pop star.”

Christina didn’t name the pop star, but she dropped enough hints for us to figure out who she is.

Christina said she was at an event when the pop star suggested they all go to a strip club.

“She’s got the big SUV trucks, we all clamber in. We’re stuffed in there like sausages, and she’s like — she’s a boss by the way, and she gets us all inside of the car. We get to the strip club, we’re at the strip club having a really good time. By then, we’ve had multiple shots, you know, there’s people smoking, a little everything.”

Christina said the star eventually grew tired of the strip club and she suggested they take the party back to her hotel room.

They all went back to the pop singer’s penthouse – along with the strippers from the club.

At some point, the strippers got tired of dancing because no one was paying them any attention or money.

Christina said one of the strippers told the pop star that they were leaving “because nobody’s paying attention to us.”

The pop star looked at the dancer and said, “B*tch, shut de f**k up and dance!”

Question: Can you guess who the pop star is? My guess is Beyoncé.

According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, Toni and Birdman quietly tied the knot on August 8, 2024.

WENN.com

According to the paperwork, Toni filed for divorce just 2 weeks after tying the knot. Toni’s court filing lists their date of separation as August 10, 2024 – just 2 days after they jumped the broom.

In the documents, Toni, 57, and her attorney called the marriage “irretrievably broken”.

However, Toni had a change of heart and she withdrew the divorce petition in January 2025.

Toni and Birdman are still legally husband and wife. It isn’t clear if they are still together.

Birdman, 56, initially proposed to Toni in February 2018. According to TMZ, he purchased Toni’s massive $1 million engagement ring and several other pricey pieces of jewelry for his bride-to-be.

They publicly split back in 2019, and Toni has regularly denied rumors of a relationship between them. She even called the marriage rumors “#FAKENEWS” in a December 2023 social media post. She claimed they were just friends.

NFL star Tyreek Hill‘s long-suffering wife has filed for divorce after Miami police responded to a frantic 911 call on Monday.

Shocking footage shows the Miami Dolphins wide receiver holding his infant daughter on the balcony of his high-rise condo.

Police responded to a 911 call about an alleged “assault in progress” with his wife, Keeta Hill, who filed for divorce on Tuesday.

The video, obtained by WPLG Local 10 News, shows Tyreek Hill, wearing a wife beater and boxer shorts while holding his daughter on the balcony of the Porsche Design building in Sunny Isles Beach on Monday.

“Subject is Tyreek Hill,” the 911 dispatcher told police.

Keeta said the argument started when she told Tyreek he wasn’t involved enough with the baby.

Both Tyreek and Keeta confirmed their argument never got physical and that the baby is in good health.

Keeta filed for divorce on Tuesday. She requested that, as part of child support, she stay temporarily in their Miami residence. She also noted that the child support agreement and spousal support would be determined by the court.

She requested a parenting plan and visitation schedule to be determined.

Keeta’s mother, Alesia Vaccaro, placed the 911 call to police, saying she feared for her daughter, Keeta’s safety.

Alesia stated that Tyreek is “very aggressive and impulsive and that he has anger issues” and she is afraid for her daughter. She told police she saw Tyreek throw Keeta’s laptop computer on the floor.

Alesia said she called police after Tyreek grabbed her granddaughter and started walking with her out on the balcony of the 35th floor condo.

Police did not arrest Tyreek. He told cops: “I have the same rights as a father as her as a mother, and I can take my baby whenever I want.”

Advice from America’s top banker that led Donald Trump to pause tariffs

Noam Galai/Getty Images

On Wednesday, the U.S. stock market surged nearly 3,000 points after President Donald Trump‘s tariffs pause.

Tariffs are taxes imposed on goods imported into the U.S. from foreign countries. Trump’s tariffs caused the stock market to plunge and threatened the retirement accounts of millions of workers.

The volatility in global markets caused Democrats to accuse Trump of intentionally crashing the stock market.

JPMorgan boss Jamie Dimon pushed President Trump to pause tariffs during an appearance on Fox Business with host Maria Bartiromo on Wednesday.

Dimon warned that Trump’s tariffs would have devastating effects on the economy and cause a recession.

Dimon said he knew Trump and his inner circle were watching Fox Business and that his message would get through to him.

Hours later, Trump announced he would pause tariffs for 90 days for all countries except China. Trump said he would significantly increase tariffs on Chinese goods by 125%.

This means the price on cell phones, sneakers, and other goods made in China will increase dramatically.
