The third suspect wanted in the shooting death of MARTA bus driver Leroy Ramos has turned himself in. The incident happened on January 3 at the Decatur Station near Atlanta, GA.

Cell phone video recorded by a witness shows Ramos, 47, arguing with three teenagers who refused to pay the $2.50 bus fare.

One teen threatened to spit on Ramos, who dared him to do it. The argument escalated as another MARTA employee stood between Ramos and the teens. But the bus driver threw punches at all three teenagers. Multiple gun shots are heard in the video as the witness turned and ran away.

The witness said Ramos was shot by a teenager wearing a red hoodie.

The suspect surrendered to police after the family held an emotional vigil at the site of the shooting on Sunday.

Two teens were arrested on Jan. 3 and charged as adults. They face murder and aggravated assault charges.

The two juveniles made their first court appearance on Monday afternoon.

Ramos’ family members said he moved to the Atlanta area from New York City to escape the violence there. Ramos started working for MARTA in October.

His wife, Monique, described him as a man with a “big heart” and a devoted husband and father.

A 30-year-old hairstylist was reported missing by her family members on Friday, January 3. Ashley Elkins, who works out of her home, went missing after her ex-boyfriend made a fake hair appointment.

According to family members, the mom-of-two left her Warren home on Knox Avenue around 8:30 a.m. to run errands on Jan. 2. Her younger sister was the last person to see her.

Ashley’s mother, Monika Elkins, FaceTimed Ashley, but she didn’t answer or call back. Monika said Ashley used to date a man who hasn’t been seen in days either.

Ashley’s sisters used a phone app to ping her last location. The last place Ashley’s phone pinged was at her ex-boyfriend’s apartment complex in Roseville. 7 News Detroit stopped by the man’s apartment and knocked on the door. But no one answered.

Ashley’s family fears the man may have abducted her.

“We knew that he had been trying to reach out to her, whether to get back with her, I don’t know,” her uncle, Maurice Morton, told 7 News Detroit.

The family said the ex-boyfriend made a fake hair appointment and stopped by her apartment. “The day he came to (Ashley’s) house, he act like he was a client and he made a (fake) appointment with her. She was expecting a client. It was him, and (her sisters) were in the house quiet,” Monika Elkins recalled.

“She told (her sisters) to be quiet. He knocked on the front door and the side door and he left. And here, it’s two days later and she’s gone.”

“She has not been in touch with anyone. We’re talking about a mother of two children, who are 10 and 7 years old, who loves her children, loves her family,” Morton explained.

Traffic flows smoothly in Manhattan after congestion pricing takes effect

New York transit officials see a “slight” improvement in Manhattan traffic after the controversial congestion pricing went into effect on Sunday.

New York City’s new $9 toll to enter Manhattan below 60th Street is expected to raise $15 billion to improve transit systems.

Officials hope the new law will encourage more people to get out of their cars and use public transportation.

Drivers faced a typical Monday morning commute after the pricing went into effect on January 5.

Photos show traffic flowing smoothly on Manhattan’s Upper East Side on Tuesday morning.

The city’s transit officials say the extra revenue will pay for improving transit and encourage more people to use public transportation.

On Tuesday, officials announced a slight improvement in traffic patterns on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

But on the Upper West Side, traffic seemed to be much busier on Tuesday, with cars lining the streets on West End Avenue.

The MTA reported no major issues. Officials are cracking down on drivers who obscure their license plates or use “ghost plates,” to avoid paying the new toll.

“Drivers who obscure their license plate think they are above the law and put everyone at risk,” NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said. “By expanding the definition of what is illegal, we will be able to hold reckless drivers accountable and create safer and more accessible streets for all.”

“Ensuring public safety is a shared responsibility among all road users, and our vigilant enforcement of traffic rules advances our mission to make people safe, to make them feel safe, and to improve overall quality of life in our city,” Tisch added.

Drivers who obscure their license plates will be fined $50 and their cars will be towed.

Trey Songz pleads with judge to toss $11 million judgment. Says it will ruin him

R&B singer Trey Songz is pleading with a judge to toss out an $11 million default judgment in a battery lawsuit. According to court documents, obtained by In Touch, Trey, 40, begged a judge to set aside the default judgment in a lawsuit filed by Maryland Capitol officer Tyrelle Dunn.

Dunn accused Trey’s bodyguards of assaulting him when he went to Trey’s Las Vegas hotel room to pick up his wife in 2021.

The incident happened in November 2021 when Trey invited a group of women to his hotel room to celebrate his birthday. Dunn later went to the Cosmopolitan Hotel to pick up his wife who was in the room with Trey.

Dunn claimed that his wife called him in distress and yelled for help because she was being held against her will.

When Dunn arrived at the hotel, Trey and his security beat up the Maryland cop after he refused to leave. Dunn sustained multiple injuries including fractured eye sockets, black eyes, and facial abrasions.

In November 2024, a Las Vegas judge entered an $11 million default judgement when Trey failed to respond to the lawsuit. But Trey claimed he didn’t know about the default judgment until he read about it on a blog.

Trey’s attorney insists Dunn did not properly serve Trey with a summons or a copy of the lawsuit. The attorney immediately filed a motion to dismiss the $11 million judgment.

“Good cause exists to set aside the default judgment because [Tyrelle] did not properly effectuate service of process of the summons and complaint on [Trey] pursuant to Nevada or California law. [Trey] did not know about this lawsuit until a few days ago, on November 27, 2024, upon which he promptly engaged counsel and filed this Motion,” Trey’s lawyer wrote.

The singer’s lawyer continued, “[Trey] promptly engaged civil defense counsel over the Thanksgiving holiday and filed this Motion to set aside the default judgment the next week.”

The lawyer said Dunn’s process server illegally handed the summons to the guard at Trey’s gated community.

The judge has yet to rule on the motion to set aside the judgment. If the judge rules against Trey, his home, cars, jewelry and other assets may be seized to satisfy the judgment.

Mark Zuckerberg made a major announcement about the return of free speech on his platforms Facebook and Instagram.

In an announcement on Jan. 7, Zuckerberg said Facebook and Instagram would no longer fact-check or censor users.

Variety reports that Meta is replacing its fact-checking systems on Facebook and Instagram with a “community notes” model similar to Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter).

Mark Zuckerberg said the fact-checking program was “too politically biased.”

If you’ve been following fake AI influencer pages on Meta and Instagram, they will be gone soon. Instagram has begun the process of deleting AI profiles that are “managed by Meta” after users complained of not being able to block them.

AI influencer Liv

An example of an AI influencer page on Instagram is “Liv,” a “Proud, Black queer momma of 2” who interacted with her followers as if she was real. Liv had over 1,400 followers on IG when her page was deleted.

Ai influencer Lil Miquela

Another fake AI influencer, Lil Miquela, has over 2.7 million followers on Instagram.

There are so many fake AI influencer pages on Meta and Instagram, that real users have abandoned their own social media pages and discovered the great outdoors.

Tennis star Naomi Osaka grew tired of fans asking about her relationship with her baby’s father, Cordae. Naomi and Cordae broke up just months after she welcomed their daughter in 2023.

She finally responded online.

Naomi and Cordae met in 2019 when he was an up-and-coming rapper. Naomi was amused that Cordae had never heard of her before they met. But she knew the lyrics to all of his rap songs.

The two were inseparable for the first couple of years. Then they began to drift apart as rumors of his cheating ran rampant.

Like most young women, Naomi believed a baby would bring them closer together. But the baby only pushed them further apart. Cordae wasn’t ready to be a father.

On Oct. 17, Naomi hinted at the breakup in a tweet.

“I just want someone that will watch the sunset with me,” she wrote.

The single mom then scrubbed pictures of Cordae from her social media pages.

Deshaun Watson’s personal coach called out Fox Sports anchor Joy Taylor in a scathing social media post amid Fox Sports’ lawsuit drama.

Taylor was highly critical of Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watkins when he was sued by dozens of women for assault in 2022.

After Watson apologized and expressed remorse to his victims, Taylor tweeted, “How can one be “innocent” and “remorseful”?”

Watson’s coach Quincy Avery called out Joy Taylor in a tweet on Sunday.

Now Taylor is caught up in a sex-fueled scandal herself. Taylor, Fox Sports Executive VP Charlie Dixon, former host Skip Bayless and the Fox Corporation are named in a lawsuit filed by former Fox Sports hairdresser Noushin Faraji.

In court documents filed on Friday, Faraji accused Dixon and Bayless of sexual battery.

Faraji claims Skip Bayless began giving her “lingering hugs and kisses on the cheek while pressing his body against her breasts.”

Bayless did not respond to the allegations on Monday’s episode of his podcast, “The Skip Bayless Show.”

Bayless, 73, is pictured with his wife of 8 years, Ernestine, at Lil Wayne’s 40th birthday party in Los Angeles in September 2022.

Faraji claims Joy Taylor ignored her complaints and told her to “get over it” when she mentioned the groping incidents to her.

In her lawsuit, Noushin Faraji also accused Joy Taylor of using intimate relationships with Dixon and former NFL player Emmanuel Acho to further her career. Charlie Dixon, who is married, helped Joy Taylor land her first job at Fox Sports.

Acho is pictured below left with Charlie Dixon (right).

Faraji quoted Joy Taylor as saying she would sue Dixon once he was “no longer useful” to her.

She warned Taylor that it was “dangerous” to have workplace entanglements with Dixon and Acho.

Taylor returned to work on Monday’s episode of “Speak.” It was her first appearance on the air since news of the lawsuit broke.

Taylor did not mention the lawsuit or the allegations on the air. She wore a blue dress and her hair in a bun. Her co-hosts, Keyshawn Johnson, Paul Pierce and Michael Irving shared light banter with her on the set.

Johnson, Pierce and Irving have been involved in messy lawsuits or accusations of misconduct themselves.

One sports fan wrote: “This show is an absolute joke to all sports. This group of 4 is embarrassing but it’s Fox, so not surprised.”

Another fan added, “They’re trying so hard to ignore the elephant in the room.”

Former Fox Sports host Shannon Sharpe distanced himself from the drama when asked to address the lawsuit on Monday.

“That has nothing to do with me. There’s nothing to address. In those 42 pages, it doesn’t mention that Shannon Sharpe did anything,” he said. “But you all want to get clicks, so you mention me.”

Lawsuit Details How Joy Taylor Threatened to Sue Fox Sports Executive If She Didn’t Get Hosting Gig

A lawsuit revealed how sports reporter Joy Taylor planned to sue Fox Sports Executive VP Charlie Dixon once he was “no longer useful to her.”

A former hairstylist for Fox Sports detailed Taylor’s plan to sue Dixon for sexual harassment if she didn’t get a hosting gig on Shannon Sharpe’s FS1 show “Speak for Yourself.”

In court documents filed on Friday in Los Angeles, Noushin Faraji says she was sexually harassed and assaulted by Skip Bayless, Dixon and others at Fox Sports for a decade.

Faraji described how Taylor, a 37-year-old Fox Sports host and blogger, allegedly plotted to use Dixon and former NFL player Emmanuel Acho to further her professional career.

Acho is pictured below left with Charlie Dixon (right).

Faraji claims Taylor once told her she would sue Dixon once he was no longer useful to her.

Taylor allegedly told Faraji she would follow through on her plan to tell the company that Dixon “forced himself on her.”

Taylor eventually got the hosting gig on Shannon Sharpe’s show.

In the video below, Faraji is seen at left on the set with retired NFL players LeSean McCoy and Emmanuel Acho.

Faraji’s lawsuit seeks class-action status on behalf of Faraji and other nonexempt Fox employees working in California over the past four years.

After Faraji began working on the set of “Undisputed” morning show starring Bayless, she claims the 73-year-old host began giving her “lingering hugs and kisses on the cheek while pressing his body against her breasts.” The single mother alleges she repeatedly told Bayless she was not interested in him and did not “date at work.”

She also claims she told Bayless she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, as an excuse to stop his advances.

Instead, Faraji said Bayless became more aggressive over the years. He allegedly offered Faraji $1.5 million to have sex with him—and claimed he could “change” her life. The suit also claims Bayless accused Faraji of sleeping with Shannon Sharpe, his former co-star on “Undisputed.”

AstraZeneca Scientists Rush to Develop Bubonic Plague Vaccine as Fears of a Pandemic Grow

President-elect Donald Trump was certified the 47th President of the United States on Monday, Jan. 6. Scientists say Trump’s 2nd term might be the start of a new pandemic.

The 2020 COVID pandemic was marked by lockdowns, travel restrictions and a crippled economy.

With Trump about to take office again, there’s a growing fear that America may be on the brink of another health crisis.

This time, it may be the bubonic plague or bird flu. Over the past few weeks, reports of the reemergence of bird flu have become increasingly frequent.

Louisiana announced the first confirmed death of H5N1 bird flu virus in the state on Monday.

“The patient was over the age of 65 and was reported to have underlying medical conditions. The patient contracted H5N1 after exposure to a combination of a non-commercial backyard flock and wild birds.”

President Joe Biden‘s health officials are calling for the return of face masks and mandatory bird flu vaccinations before his term ends on Jan. 20.

AstraZeneca scientists are rushing to develop a vaccine for the bubonic plague.

The Bubonic Plague, often referred to as the “Black Death,” killed over 50 million people in the 1400s. The disease was eradicated by the 1800s. But strains of the “superbug” have been found in parts of Europe.

Oxford scientists have called for the UK to add a bubonic plague vaccine to its stockpile as the risk of a superbug strain grows.

“There are no licensed plague vaccines in the UK. Antibiotics are the only treatment. There are some licensed vaccines in Russia,” Sir Andrew Pollard, director of the Oxford Vaccine Group, told The Telegraph.

“The risk in the UK is currently very low. Previous historical pandemics that had high mortality were associated with initiation from fleas on rodents but were driven by person to person spread.”

Justin Trudeau has resigned as Prime Minister of Canada. Trudeau announced his resignation on Monday, January 6 — as U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris certified the results of the 2024 presidential election.

The embattled Prime Minister was among the first people President-elect Donald Trump called after the historic election on November 5, 2024.

Trump said that Canada would become the 51st state in the Union. Trudeau chose to step down, effectively ending nine years of power.

Trudeau didn’t put up much of a fight once Trump came calling.

The 53-year-old politician was of one of Canada’s most unpopular prime ministers in history. He has been a target of attacks from President-elect Donald Trump, who wants Canada to merge with the U.S. — the world’s most powerful country.

Trudeau said he will stay in power until a new leader of the country’s Liberal Party is in place.

“The Liberal Party of Canada is an important institution in the history of our great country and democracy. A new prime minister and leader of the Liberal party will carry its values and ideals into the next election,” Trudeau said on Monday.

Trudeau’s announcement came as shocking news to Canadians who believed Donald Trump was joking about taking Canada.
