The suspect wanted in the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in NYC was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania on Monday.

Thompson, 50, was gunned down on a sidewalk outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan on December 4.

On Monday morning, a McDonald’s employee called 911 after she noticed a man “sitting there eating” who resembled the suspect in photos released by NYPD.

Police in Altoona took her call seriously. They arrived and observed the person of interest who had distinct eyebrows like the suspect.

The man carried a Maryland driver’s license that identified him as 26-year-old Luigi Mangione, a high school valedictorian and computer geek from Towson, Maryland.

Police searched Mangione and found a gun similar to the one used to kill Thompson. He had multiple fake IDs and a U.S. passport on him.

Officers also found a “manifesto” on him. The manifesto criticized healthcare companies for prioritizing profits above healthcare.

“At this time, he is believed to be our person of interest in the brazen, targeted murder of Brian Thompson,” NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said on Monday. “The suspect was in a McDonald’s and then recognized by an employee who then called police. Responding officers questioned the suspect, who was acting suspiciously and was carrying multiple fraudulent IDs as well as a U.S. passport.”

Mangione graduated as valedictorian from the Gilman Prep School in Baltimore, where he played soccer, according to the New York Post.

Tuition at the all boys prep school is currently more than $37,000 a year.

“We recently became aware that the person arrested in connection with the killing of the UnitedHealthcare CEO is a Gilman alumnus,” the school’s principal Henry P.A. Smyth wrote in a letter, according to the Washington Post. “This is deeply distressing news on top of an already awful situation. Our hearts go out to everyone affected.”

Authorities believe Mangione’s frustration with insurance companies grew from his own personal experience with UnitedHealthcare.

He posted an X-ray image on his X (Twitter) account that shows surgical screws in his sacral spine from a sports injury to his lower back.

Mangione is from a wealthy Baltimore family. His cousin is a Maryland state delegate.

He left a treasure trove of evidence behind in New York City, including his $300 Peak Design backpack which contained Monopoly money and a jacket. The backpack was found in Central Park in an area that had already been searched by police 3 days earlier.

Reddit users theorize that the Monopoly money symbolizes the monopoly that UnitedHealthcare holds over pharmacies, hospitals and clinics.

The shooting sparked a backlash against UnitedHealthcare and other insurance companies that deny healthcare claims to boost profits for their shareholders.

Mangione became a folk hero and a sex symbol to women all over the country.

One fan on Reddit wrote: “He flirted with a chick, flashed a historic smile, killed a CEO, left some Monopoly money and got away with it. I’m so hot for this dude.”

Another person wrote, “Get in line sister.”

A third person wrote: “I was hoping he would date my daughter.”

Grandmothers on X (formerly Twitter) offered the suspect home cooked meals and a warm place to sleep while he was on the run.

Mangione will be extradited to back New York to stand trial.

Daniel Penny Found Not Guilty in Jordan Neely Fatal Chokehold Death

Daniel Penny was found not guilty of killing Jordan Neely with a fatal chokehold in a NYC subway car on May 1, 2023.

Cellphone video showed Neely verbally assaulting passengers in the subway car before Penny placed him in a chokehold.

According to reports, a bystander stepped inside the train car and warned Penny: “If you suffocate him, that’s it. You don’t want to catch a murder charge.”

Penny, 26, released the chokehold and the men rolled Neely over onto his side. Neely was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Jurors could not agree on a verdict on Friday, Dec. 6. Judge Maxwell Wiley then accepted the prosecution’s request to drop the top manslaughter charge against the marine veteran after the jury could not come to an unanimous decision.

Penny’s defense lawyers demanded a hung jury and a new trial. But in a shock decision, the judge dropped the manslaughter charge and allowed the jurors to deliberate on the second, lesser charge of negligent homicide.

The jury found him not guilty.

Penny faced four years in prison if he was found guilty on the lesser charge of negligent homicide.

Neely, who was best known as a Michael Jackson impersonator in NYC, had a lengthy criminal record.

Neely was a 30-year-old homeless man when he died. His death sparked widespread outrage.

However, some New Yorkers say Neely’s violent past and criminal history made it hard to show sympathy for him.

Neely’s aunt said he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and autism as a teenager. He spiraled out of control after his mother, Christie, was strangled to death by her boyfriend in 2007.

Neely’s father, who abandoned him at a young age, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Penny last week.

Neely was arrested 42 times in 10 years for violent incidents, including punching a 67-year-old woman in the face and attempting to shove a man onto the tracks.

In a video that resurfaced in 2023, he was seen attacking members of the LGBT+ community in NYC.

In the undated video, Neely is dressed as his idol Michael Jackson while hurling offensive slurs at people on a crowded sidewalk in NYC.

“You look like a f****t,” he tells one person. “You look like a f*****g drag queen.”

The person behind the camera called Neely: “Angry Michael.”

Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Ben Affleck is apparently reunited with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

The paparazzi snapped photos of Affleck and Garner driving together in Brentwood, California on Dec. 7.

Garner and Affleck were spotted out & about on Saturday while spending more time together as a couple. Ben and Jen give inspiration to other former couples who hope to reunite following a divorce.

The pair reportedly had breakfast after spending the evening together. They then headed out for a drive through the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood, before they went to Affleck’s home.

Garner was dating businessman John Miller. It isn’t clear if they’re still together.

Garner and Affleck split in 2015 after nearly 10 years of marriage, before finalizing their divorce three years later.

BACKGRID

They spent Thanksgiving day together volunteering and serving free meals to the homeless community in L.A. during The Midnight Mission’s annual Thanksgiving Street Fair.

“They truly enjoy giving back to their community and cherishing quality time together as a family,” a source told PEOPLE.

“Jen truly just wants her kids to be happy. She will continue to make sure that they spend time together as a family and include Ben,” the source told PEOPLE.

“They have Christmas plans with the kids too,” the insider added. “The kids enjoy when they all spend time together.”

Affleck has fully embraced family time with Garner and their three children. A source close to Affleck told Fox News Digital that the “Argo” actor has been enjoying time away from the spotlight, as he continues to spend quality time with Garner and their three children: Violet, 19, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.

“Ben and Jennifer Garner have a really great co-parenting relationship,” the source said. “They are still family for the sake of the kids. They talk all the time and Jennifer wants what’s best for him because it’s best for their kids. There is no bad blood between them, and she’s really been there for him and their kids as they navigate life post split from Jennifer Lopez.”

In October, they attended the same event as Jennifer Lopez in Los Angeles. JLo was there with her daughter Emme and friends.

Meanwhile, JLo showed Affleck what he’s missing by wearing a curve-hugging black sequined Mônot dress in an Instagram video. She sauntered down a hallway showing off the dress – and her curves – from every angle.

“Believe in yourself,” JLo captioned the video, Page Six reported.

“YES MY DARLING!!!” one follower wrote in the comments. Another person wrote: “STEP ON ME!”

JLo filed for divorce from Affleck in August – after she discovered he was spending way too much time with his ex-wife and not her.

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good’s interview with reporter goes left

Actor Jonathan Majors showed his true colors when TMZ caught up with him and actress Meagan Good hiking in Runyon Canyon. A TMZ reporter complimented their physiques and asked about their wedding plans.

“Are you trying to get even more in shape for the wedding?” the reporter asked them. “No, we’re just trying to stay ready so we don’t gotta get ready,” Meagan responded.

BACKGRID

When asked what’s their secret, Meagan said, “Body by J” while pointing to Jonathan. She implied that he’s her personal trainer. But Meagan held back on sharing details about the actual proposal, only revealing the location.

“We went to Paris with my dad and he asked for my hand in marriage there. And it was really sweet and really cute,” Meagan said. “And he asked my mom for my hand in marriage as well.”

The reporter then asked if the two had chosen a date to walk down the aisle. Meagan began to answer before Jonathan yanked her hand. She looked at him before she replied, “Yeah, we’re not gonna talk about that right now.”

Jonathan’s reaction to her response — by yanking her hand — proves that he is in control in their relationship. It is a warning sign and a red flag that women in Meagan’s position often ignore. Because having a piece of a man is better than having no man at all.

Fans were vocal about Jonathan’s controlling behavior. One person wrote “Did y’all see him yank her for that wedding question at the end??”

Another person noted: “He did not want her answering anything you see how he kept tugging on her.”

Rapper Jay-Z responded to a bombshell allegation that he drugged and assaulted a 13-year-old child at an after-party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.

In an amended lawsuit filed Sunday, a woman identified as Jane Doe claims the billionaire music mogul and Sean Combs, both 55, drugged and raped her in a bedroom.

Jay-Z vigorously denied the allegations and vowed that he will not pay his accuser “ONE RED PENNY.”

RadarOnline.com revealed Jay-Z was sent “reeling” by the amended lawsuit. In his response to CNN on Sunday, Jay-Z furiously denied the allegations as a “shakedown” and explained he will be sitting down with Beyoncé, 43, and their 3 kids to discuss the vile accusation.

“My only heartbreak is for my family,” he said in the statement. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age when her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”

Jay-Z continued: “I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age.”

BACKGRID

A source said Bey and Jay will not be alone when they speak to their children – daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and 7-year-old twins named Rumi and Sir. A child psychiatrist will also sit in on the discussion to make sure the conversation is age appropriate.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z began dating in 1997 when she was only 16 and he was 28.

Jane Doe originally filed a lawsuit against Combs in October but did not name Jay-Z in the complaint.

In her amended lawsuit on Sunday, Doe claims she began to feel woozy after consuming a drink at the party and wandered into a nearby bedroom. She alleges Jay-Z raped her first, followed by Combs. The woman says she hit Combs and ran out of the party.

Doe claimed a woman watched the assault, but she didn’t name the woman in the lawsuit.

Combs was arrested in Manhattan in September and charged with human trafficking. He is in a federal lockup in Brooklyn awaiting trial scheduled for May 2025.

Houston attorney Tony Buzbee allegedly sent a letter to Jay-Z‘s lawyers requesting “confidential mediation” to avoid a lawsuit.

In November, a prominent law firm that represented Jay-Z in the past filed a lawsuit against Buzbee alleging extortion.

The lawyers accused Buzbee of “shamelessly attempting to extort exorbitant sums from” Jay-Z.

Buzbee responded to the lawsuit, writing: “Upon present information and belief, Jay-Z responded to said letter by not only filing an utterly frivolous lawsuit, but by also orchestrating a conspiracy of harassment, bullying and intimidation against Plaintiff’s lawyers, their families, employees and former associates in an attempt to silence Plaintiff from naming Jay-Z herein.”

Buzbee added: “This effort was meant to scare Plaintiff and to discredit her counsel. That effort failed. Indeed, Plaintiff chose to file this amendment as a result of the egregious conduct perpetuated by [Jay-Z].”

News of the amended civil complaint was first reported by NBC News on Sunday night.

Jay-Z responded to the lawsuit in a carefully worded statement to CNN on Sunday.

He called the allegations “so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”

Sean Combs Accuser Revealed as Ex-Wife of NHL Star

0
Phillip Faraone/FilmMagic

The ex-wife of NHL star Evander Kane has publicly revealed herself as one of Sean Combs‘ earliest sëxual assault accusers.

Evander Kane and Anna Kane posed for photos at the 2019 ESPYS in Los Angeles on July 10, 2019. Kane and the Edmonton Oilers forward were married from 2018 to 2021.

Anna Kane was the fifth accuser to file a lawsuit alleging the music mogul sëxually assaulted her at his NYC recording studio when she was a teenager.

Kane originally filed a lawsuit against Combs in December 2023 under the fictitious name “Jane Doe.”

In her lawsuit, Kane claimed she was a 17-year-old schoolgirl in the 11th grade when Combs forced himself on her at his Daddy’s House Recording Studio in Manhattan in 2003.

Sandra Rose/Sandrarose.com

She also accused former Bad Boy Records president Harve Pierre (left) and a third, unidentified man of gang raping her in 2003.

Kane said she met Pierre at a Detroit, Michigan, lounge, where he invited her to fly to New York City on a private jet to meet Combs. Pierre allegedly called Combs on the phone and handed the phone to Kane to convince the teen to fly to New Jersey, according to the filing.

Pierre allegedly told Combs Kane was “hot”. He told Kane he wanted her to meet his “best friend” and “brother” Combs.

Before leaving the lounge, Pierre allegedly took her into the bathroom, where he smoked crack from an aluminum can and then forced her to perform oral sëx on him, the suit claims.

Kane accompanied the two men on a private jet to New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport, the NY Post reported.

Kane alleged that she was plied with drugs and alcohol when she arrived at the studio, TMZ reported.

“While Mr. Combs was raping Ms. Doe, he complained that he could not ‘get off’ unless she pinched his nipples as hard as she could,” the lawsuit stated. After Combs finished, he allegedly watched as the other men took turns with Kane.

“She could barely stand up following the gang rape, and had to be helped to walk out of the building and back into a car,” the court documents state.

The lawsuit included photos of Kane, her face blurred, sitting on then-34-year-old Combs’ lap.

Another photo shows Kane wearing headphones in a recording booth. She stored the photographic reminders of that night in her personal photo album.

Kane claims she has a hazy memory of flying back to Michigan.

Kane originally filed her lawsuit anonymously. But a Manhattan judge ordered her to publicly identify herself or the lawsuit would be tossed out.

“I had hoped to use a pseudonym in pursuing justice for what happened to me as a teenager,” Kane told Page Six in a statement via her attorney Douglas Wigdor.

“Defendants’ demand that I use my name was an attempt to intimidate me, but I am not intimidated. I am prepared to proceed and hold accountable those who have harmed me,” Anna Kane said.

Combs faces dozens of lawsuits filed by women and men who claim they were drugged and sëxually assaulted by the Bad Boy Records founder decades ago.

Cynthia Erivo and “Wicked” co-star Ariana Grande slammed “dangerous” cyber bullying after both women were subjected to online abuse.

Ariana teared up while addressing the weight loss comments in an interview with French reporter Sally. Ariana explained how she copes with society’s “beauty standards” and the “overwhelming” pressure women feel “to always look perfect.”

“My goodness. I’m not gonna – cry” she said, while fighting back tears.

After composing herself, Ariana said she has been fighting online bullying since her teenage years. “I’ve been kind of doing this in front of the public and kind of been a specimen in a petri dish really since I was 16 or 17, so I have heard it all,” she said.

Santi Ramales / BACKGRID

“I’ve heard every version of it — of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons. But that’s everything from — even just the simplest thing — your appearance, you know?”

Santi Ramales / BACKGRID

Ariana added: “I think that it’s something that is uncomfortable no matter what scale you’re experiencing it on,” she said, “even if you go to Thanksgiving dinner, and someone’s granny says, ‘Oh my God, you look skinnier! What happened?’ or ‘You look heavier! What happened?'”

T.JACKSON / BACKGRID

Ariana was then comforted by Cynthia, who was also the subject of cruel comments about her weight online.

“I think in today’s society, there is a comfortability that we shouldn’t have at all — commenting on others’ looks, appearance, what they think is going on behind the scenes or health or how they present themselves,” Ariana continued.

“From what you’re wearing to your body to your face to your everything — there’s a comfortability that people have commenting on that that I think is really dangerous,” Ariana told Sally as she leaned in to add, “and I think it’s dangerous for all parties involved.”

Cynthia’s unexplained weight loss and hair loss prompted fans to speculate that she was receiving chemotherapy for a terminal illness.

Brandon Voight / BACKGRID

“I think cyber bullying is quite dangerous to be honest because it’s easy to be behind the computer and type words about a person you don’t know anything about,” Cynthia said.

“I think that the more we can protect ourselves from that the better… the best way to support someone who is going through that is really to be a counterpoint to whatever is coming at that person – be the voice that is positive.”

Cynthia added: “We decided that we were going to make sure we protected each other, that we were kind to one another, that we were going to work with each other and build a relationship, which meant that when we were on set, we both felt really safe to play and to do the roles as we needed.”

UnitedHealthcare, CVS remove executive photos from their websites after CEO’s murder in Manhattan

UnitedHealthcare and CVS pharmacy have removed executives’ bios and photographs from their websites after UHC CEO Brian Thompson was gunned down in Manhattan on Wednesday.

Top executives at insurance companies that profited by denying claims for sick Americans are living in fear as the intense manhunt for the suspect enters the 3rd day.

UnitedHealthcare has removed the executive leadership page from its website and CVS has followed suit by removing executive bios and pics from its website, the company confirmed to FOX Business.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield also removed its leadership page, which redirects to the “about us” page now, 404 Media first reported.

Earlier this week, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield reversed a controversial decision to stop paying for anesthesia if surgery lasts longer than normal.

BCBS had announced that patients would be responsible for paying the anesthesia bill if their surgery went over its allotted time.

BCBS reversed its decision after a massive backlash grew against insurance companies that profit off of sick Americans.

404 Media reported that other insurance companies have removed their leadership bios and photos from their websites. Top executives at those companies have hired corporate bodyguards to protect them at home and in the office.

UnitedHealth reported a profit of nearly $400 billion in 2023. For 2025, the company expects revenue to be between $450 billion and $455 billion.

Thompson earned $10 million annually as UHC CEO. He received a $20 million bonus in 2023.
