Actress Cynthia Erivo recently went viral for criticizing a fan-made “Wicked” poster. If you recall, Erivo called out fans who used AI to generate their own versions of the “Wicked” movie poster.

Pop singer Ariana Grande stars as Glenda, the good witch in Wicked, while Erivo plays the green witch Elphaba.

Erivo expressed her disappointment in one poster that featured her eyes covered and her lips painted red.

The original movie poster shows Erivo’s eyes and green lips to match her green skin.

But in the fan version of the poster, Erivo’s eyes are covered by the brim of her black hat and her lips are red.

Erivo took offense to the fan poster. She claimed fans were “erasing” her and that she felt “degraded”.

Social media dragged Erivo for being too sensitive and she finally saw the light.

Erivo, 37, spoke with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday, Oct. 28. She explained that she is “really protective” of her role as Elphaba in Wicked – and that’s why she spoke out about the fan posters

But Erivo acknowledged that she went too far when she attacked fans for “erasing” her. Her fans were expressing themselves through their art – which they had the right to do.

“I’m passionate about it and I know the fans are passionate about it and I think for me it was just like a human moment of wanting to protect little Elphaba,” Erivo said.

Erivo explained that she probably should have called her friends for advice before she lashed out at fans.

“It was like a human moment. “I probably should have called my friends, but it’s fine,” she said.

Ariana Grande defended the fan’s poster edits.

“This is something that is so much bigger than us, and the fans are gonna have fun and make their edits,” Grande told Variety magazine. “I have so much respect for my sister Cynthia, and I love her so much. It’s just a big adjustment period. It’s so much stimulation about something that’s so much bigger than us.”

“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” a source told People.com on Monday.

The insider told Us Weekly that Gisele is “head over heels” for Joaquim. Her “friends haven’t seen her like this before,” the source said.

The source added: “Their chemistry together has always been there and they have a lot in common. They’ve been in love for a while.”

Gisele is already mom to 2 children with 7x Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, 47.

The Vogue model and Brady share son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, and Gisele is also the stepmother to Brady’s son Jack, 17.

Gisele displayed her baby bump as she arrived for a work out in Miami on Tuesday morning.

She began dating Joaquim after her highly publicized divorce from Brady. Gisele and Joaquim kept their romance out of the public eye. Her pregnancy came as a surprise to her fans. She’s 44 and already raising 2 children as an unwed mother.

The former Victoria’s Secret model met Joaquim when she took up jiu-jitsu classes after enrolling her son, Benjamin, in Joaquim’s self-defense class.

Gisele and Joaquim live a very active lifestyle. They play tennis, jog, and ride bikes together.

Tom Brady seemingly reacted to the baby news by posting a sunset photo on his Instagram Stories on Oct. 28. He added the music and lyrics to The Chicks’ cover of “Landslide”: “Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? / Can the child within my heart rise above? / Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?”

His followers are still trying to figure out what he meant by that post.

Sean Combs could drop big names to get less prison time in federal case

Sean Combs could drop big names in exchange for less prison time in his federal sex crimes case, according to R. Kelly’s attorney.

Combs was arrested in New York in September and faces allegations that he assaulted multiple men, women and children.

Nicole Blank Becker, who represented R. Kelly during his trial, told Fox News Digital that the odds are stacked against Combs. She said the feds are using RICO laws typically reserved for mobsters.

The same RICO laws were used to convict R. Kelly, she added.

Blank Becker said R. Kelly’s defense team didn’t get to see the prosecution’s evidence until the day of the trial. Combs’ attorneys are likely to face the same obstacles.

Blank Becker said R. Kelly’s celebrity friends abandoned him because they didn’t want to be caught up in a federal case.

She suggested that Combs’ celebrity friends stopped taking his calls following the federal raids on his homes in March.

Combs posted a video online in which he called out the names of his A-list friends who turned their backs on him.

“What that is, and I’ve talked about this with R. Kelly, [Combs] is saying, ‘Listen, guys, none of y’all are calling me back, none of y’all are listening, none of y’all want to talk to me now, well guess what, I’m going down… but y’all are gonna go down with me,'” Blank Becker said.

She said Kelly’s inner circle consisted of lifelong non-celebrity friends whereas Combs rolled with the “best of the best” in the entertainment world.

[Combs] surrounded himself always with the best of the best. The actors who are the best actors, the elite,” Blank Becker says.

She said he might offer up big names of A-listers who participated in the notorious “freak offs” parties at his home.

“I would say that it is very possible, when [Combs] recognizes that they have as much information as they do – he may be trying to figure out, ‘Hey, I give you this info, what’s that going to do for me?’ And I wouldn’t be surprised if those types of negotiations occur and continue,” she explained.

“It’s just so fascinating to watch it, not know what it is, and then all of a sudden we can kind of put the pieces together.”

Bold name celebrities have come out in support of Vice President Kamala Harris in recent weeks. Names like Usher Raymond and Beyoncé — who rarely speak politics in public.

Sources say both Beyoncé and Usher are concerned about videos seized during the raids which may contain incriminating evidence.

The feds have said guests who attended Combs’ freak offs didn’t know they were being secretly recorded.

Homeland Security agents found 200 cameras on Combs’ properties during the raids.

Beyoncé fans dragged Amber Rose after she claimed Beyoncé was trying to be like her. The BeyHive swarmed Amber Rose for comments she made about Bey’s speech at Vice President Kamala Harris’ Houston rally on Friday.

Tina Knowles seemed to confirm Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé were half-sisters by introducing them both as her daughters.

Tina then hugged and kissed Kelly, who is long-rumored to be the biological daughter of Tina’s ex-husband Mathew Knowles.

Beyoncé beamed with pride as her sister embraced Kamala Harris on stage.

After Beyoncé disappointed her fans by not performing at the rally, she gave a short brief speech.

Beyoncé endorsed Kamala Harris while promoting abortion rights at the Houston rally on Friday.

“I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” Beyoncé said. “A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we’re not divided.”

Amber Rose endorsed former President Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in July where she gave a speech.

After Beyoncé’s speech, Amber hopped into the comments on Instagram and accused the pop star of stealing her speech from the RNC. Amber wrote, “She wanna be me so bad. Literally took my whole speech.”

BACKGRID

Amber’s post quickly spread to X (formerly Twitter) where Beyoncé’s fans exploded in anger.

One fan even dragged pop icon Cher into the drama.

The only similarities between both speeches appears to be the fact that both women mentioned they were mothers.

“Dear Amber Rose, prove to everyone you’re a good human being with your few seconds of fame & urge people to go vote. Beyoncé does not GAF about you!,” one fan tweeted in response.

Amber quickly backtracked and said she was just trolling Beyoncé.

“I love Beyoncé, I know Beyoncé, we’ve hung out many times” Amber told TMZ.

“I troll my friends all the time,” she said, adding that people don’t know how to take a joke these days.

The drill rapper tried to outsmart the FBI by booking three one-way international flights to depart from Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports on the evening of October 24.

According to an affidavit, the FBI received notifications from U.S. Customs and Border Protection that Durk had purchased a ticket on a one-way flight from Miami to Dubai. The flight was scheduled to depart from Miami on the evening of October 24.

Durk also purchased a one-way ticket from Fort Lauderdale airport to Switzerland, scheduled to depart that same evening. Undercover agents waiting at both airports noted that Durk did not board either flight.

At approximately 6:40 p.m. ET on Oct. 24, the FBI received an additional CBP notification that Durk booked a ticket on a private plane departing Miami at approximately 9:00 p.m. ET, and destined for Italy.

Durk was arrested by law enforcement at 8 p.m. in the vicinity of Miami International Airport.

Durk is currently being held in solitary confinement at FDC Miami, a federal detention center. He is awaiting extradition to Los Angeles to stand trial.

The Grammy-winning gangbanger faces the death penalty if convicted.

Singer Loomis apologized and begged for forgiveness after she botched “The Star-Spangled Banner” during a Presidential Debate last week.

The incident happened during a live C-SPAN broadcast of the Free & Equal Presidential Debate on Wednesday. The independent singer started out singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” with great confidence, but then her voice began to crack.

“I f***ed it up, I f***ed it up. Can I go back please?” the aspiring singer asked. But organizers told her the event was live. So she continued.

“The bombs bursting in air — I got too nervous,” she said before finishing the National Anthem. She received polite applause from the third-party nominees and the camera crew.

On Sunday, Loomis apologized for her unprofessional performance.

“First off, I would like to apologize to the Free and Equal political team for this mishap, and from the bottom of my heart I wanted to apologize,” she said in an Instagram video.

“And I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to mess up the National Anthem, and I wanted to thank you guys for giving me a chance and believing in me.”

Loomis added that she suffered from stage fright for years.

“I was always scared I was going to fail, and then I did, and the world’s seen it,” she said. “So I just wanted anybody out there who’s seen, that you can change anything negative into something positive.”

Social media users compared Loomis to Olympic break dancer Rachael Gunn who went viral for making a mockery of the artform.

“I really do sing and I am really a good singer. So what had happened was I didn’t know it was live,” Loomis told TMZ.

But some observers accused her of botching the anthem on purpose in the hopes of going viral and boosting her career.

Who is Loomis?

Loomis is an independent singer with over 31,000 followers on Instagram. She released her first single, “Cereal,” in 2021, followed by a second single “I Want the World” in 2022. She has yet to sign a record deal with a major label.

“Good Morning America” reached out to Loomis to give her another chance to redeem herself.

Heat fans felt sorry for Wade until someone pointed out that D-Wade himself gave the final approval.

Others got to work creating Internet memes that will live on forever.

Authorities Launch ‘Interagency Operation’ at NY Jail Where Sean Combs is Housed

Federal authorities say an “interagency operation” has been launched at the Brooklyn, NY detention center where music mogul Sean Combs is housed.

Combs, 54, was arrested in September and is housed in solitary confinement at the facility while awaiting trial in May 2025.

Combs has denied allegations that he physically and sexually abused men, women and minors for more than a decade.

The facility has been described as “hell on earth” and an “ongoing tragedy” for detainees being held there.

Investigators from the Bureau of Prisons, the Justice Department’s inspector general’s office and other law enforcement agencies raided the Metropolitan Detention Center, the Bureau of Prisons said in a statement to The Associated Press on Monday.

The law enforcement operation was launched amid reports of rampant violence at the jail.

via Associated Press — Last month, federal prosecutors charged nine inmates in connection with a spate of attacks from April to August at the Metropolitan Detention Center, the only federal jail in New York City. The allegations detailed serious safety and security issues at the jail, including charges after two inmates were stabbed to death and another was speared in the spine with a makeshift icepick. A correctional officer was also charged with shooting at a car during an unauthorized high-speed chase.

The operation was “designed to achieve our shared goal of maintaining a safe environment for both our employees and the incarcerated individuals housed at MDC Brooklyn,” the agency said.

The MDC in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn is notorious for its horrific conditions, violence, and multiple deaths.

In September, the music mogul’s lawyers complained about the horrors their client faced at the Brooklyn federal lockup. The legal team requested a transfer for Combs to another detention center in New York with a better reputation.

The request for a transfer was denied and Combs’s proposal for a $50 million bond was rejected by 2 different judges.
