Pop superstar Rihanna’s close brush with death shocked her fans over the weekend. Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, shot up Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion with an assault-style rifle on Sunday, March 8.

After shooting up Rihanna’s house and fleeing in a white Tesla, police caught up with Ortiz in Sherman Oaks, and took her into custody. She is being held in jail on a $10.2 million bond.

The incident is a reminder of the dangers of the Internet era. Obsessed fans are able to search for celebrity homes in 2 easy clicks.

Rihanna escaped with her life, but other celebrities weren’t as lucky.

Rebecca Schaeffer was the breakout star of the CBS comedy “My Sister Sam.” The 21-year-old was destined for Hollywood stardom when death showed up at her front door. On July 18, 1989 Rebecca was fatally shot in the doorway of her Hollywood apartment building by obsessed fan Robert John Bardo, who had been stalking her for years.

Bardo was a schizophrenic who believed Rebecca was talking to him through his television. He wrote letters to her, and when she didn’t respond, he hired a private detective to find her address through the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Bardo was arrested on July 19, 1989 when motorists reported a man running through traffic on Interstate 10. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was the world’s most popular female Mexican-American singer before her life was cut short by a deranged fan. The “Queen of Tejano Music” was set for crossover superstardom when her fan club president and boutique manager, Yolanda Saldivar, fatally shot her at a motel in Corpus Cristi, Texas, where Selena planned to fire her for embezzling funds. Selena died on March 31, 1995 at age 23. Saldivar was convicted and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison. She was denied parole in 2025.

Fashion icon Gianni Versace was gunned down while going on a coffee run on the morning of July 15, 1997. Versace, 50, was shot twice on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion by serial killer Andrew Cunanan. 27-year-old Cunanan was a clout chaser who often bragged that he and Versace were friends. In reality, the two men didn’t know each other. Cunanan took his own life on a houseboat where he was hiding not far from Versace’s mansion.

Beatles legend John Lennon was shot 5 times in the back as he signed autographs for fans outside his Manhattan apartment building on December 8, 1980. His killer, Mark David Chapman, was a former Beatles fan who had a hit list of celebrities he wanted to kill. He chose John Lennon out of “convenience”. Chapman was convicted and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. He was denied parole for the 14th time in 2025.

Egypt Criss, the daughter of Hip-Hop icons Anthony “Treach” Criss, of Naughty by Nature, and Sandra “Pepa” Denton, of Salt-N-Pepa, was knocked out in her first professional boxing match on Saturday in Derby, Derbyshire, England.

Olympian Jade Jones won her boxing debut with a second round knockout of Egypt at MF Duel 2 boxing event.

Jada was previously a taekwondo champion before switching sports last year. She won Olympic gold medals in London 2012 and Rio 2016.

After Egypt’s knockout, Treach took to social media and called out her husband, Samuel “Sammattick” Wright, for “clout chasing.”

In an Instagram post, Treach called Sam a “clout chasing clown” and accused him of “brainwashing” Egypt and putting her in harm’s way.

Egypt and Sam appeared together in WeTV’s “Growing Up Hip Hop.”

Treach believes Sam set his daughter up to be knocked out in her first professional boxing match.

“Him & the team around you, y’all put my daughter in harms [sic] way. That b–ch [karma] comes back quick, you reap what you sew [sic]!!”

Egypt and Sam share a 3-year-old daughter named Phara’h Clea.

In a post on Instagram, Pepa wrote: “Blessings to everyone today! And as I count my blessings, I can’t get enough of this one — she’s an incredible #blessing in my life. OMG I can’t believe I’m a Grandma.”

A deranged woman who shot at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion on Sunday has been identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz from Orlando, Florida.

Ortiz fired multiple rounds from an assault-style rifle at Rihanna’s mansion on March 8, while the mom-of-3 was at home with her children.

Police said at least one round pierced a wall at the $13.8 million mansion. More rounds hit a security gate.

The “We Found Love” singer and her children were not harmed in the attack.

It is not clear if Rihanna’s common-law husband, A$AP Rocky, was at home.

Ortiz reportedly fired the shots from a white Tesla across the street from the house. Then she fled the scene.

Officers responded to the shooting around 1:20 p.m. Sunday in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood. Police followed the suspect to a parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where she was arrested without incident.

Her bail is set at $10.2 million. She remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos called off their destination wedding following a dispute over a prenuptial agreement.

TMZ Sports reports Dak and Sarah broke up one month before their wedding was set to take place in Italy.

A source tells TMZ Sports the couple split during an argument at their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas.

But Sarah’s friends say the wedding was canceled because the couple couldn’t agree on the prenuptial agreement.

Sarah allegedly refused to sign the prenup after Dak signed a $240 million contract with the Cowboys.

Former NFL linebacker-turned-sports analyst Emmanuel Acho agreed with their decision to cancel the wedding.

On his podcast, “Speakeasy,” Emmanuel said he is “anti-prenup” and if a man or woman needs “a contingency plan for marriage, you shouldn’t be married.”

“If you need to protect yourself from your future partner, who you have to lay in bed with every night, the potential mother or father of your children, you shouldn’t be marrying them,” he added.

“A prenup to me is like a seatbelt in an airplane. If you need that seatbelt in an airplane, you’ve got way bigger issues than the seatbelt. Airplane going down… And I got money, I’m actually [still] anti-prenup,” he said.

In a since-deleted post on Feb. 23, Sarah stated she “can’t wait to marry the love of my life” at their destination wedding in Italy.

Dak and Sarah share two adorable children, ages 2 and 9 months. He proposed to her in October 2024 after dating for years.

Tasha K Launches GoFundMe To Pay Off Cardi B Lawsuit

YouTuber Tasha K launched a GoFundMe to pay off Cardi B’s lawsuit judgement against her.

So far, the crowdfunding page has raised over $7,700 toward her $3.5 million goal.

Tasha K is asking for $3.5 million on GoFundMe, but she agreed to pay Cardi $1.2 million over 5 years to settle the lawsuit.

In a statement on GoFundMe Tasha K wrote: “For years many of you have asked me to start a fundraiser to help me pay off the judgment against me. I always refused because I believed it was my responsibility to handle it on my own. But after many conversations with you all, I’m finally listening.

“I am currently making my court-ordered payments of $20,000 per month from my own income, and I will continue to make those payments regardless of what is raised here from my own income. Meaning I will personally contribute my own funds to pay this down faster. Every dollar raised through this GoFundMe will go strictly toward reducing the judgment balance.”

She continued: “I don’t have $3.5 million sitting in cash, but with the help of my community we can accelerate paying this off so I can finally move forward and focus on creating, reporting, and entertaining without constant interruption.”

Tasha K said the $3.5 million raised on GoFundMe will be “the only birthday gift I’m asking for this year.”

In a late night phone call on February 4, Tasha K told me she was current on her $20,000 monthly payments to Cardi B. Tasha also asked me to “be nice” if I decided to cover the story.

But the situation took a turn last month when Cardi B demanded to see financial documents from Tasha K’s bankruptcy filing in Florida.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, the “WAP” rapper demanded Tasha’s company turn over financial records that show her income from YouTube, and other social media accounts. Cardi also wants copies of Tasha’s tax returns.

In a since-deleted post on X.com, Tasha said Cardi B was entitled to view her financial documents on demand as part of their settlement agreement. She said Cardi B’s court filing was a nothing burger.

According to TMZ, the settlement agreement called for Tasha K to turn over financial records to Cardi B every quarter.

Fans called for prayers for Angela White, formerly known as “Blac Chyna,” after her mother, Tokyo Toni, left harsh comments about her daughter on social media.

The post has since been deleted, but the comments have gone viral all over social media.

In one comment, Toni wrote: “Sick of your filthy a*s.”

In another comment, Toni said she was sorry she didn’t abort Angela.

No one knows what triggered Toni to go off on Angela on a public forum. But this isn’t the first time Toni has dragged her own daughter on social media.

Angela responded to her mother’s comments, writing simply “This is sad.”

“We do need to pray for Blac Chyna. My god!” one fan said in a reaction video on TikTok. The woman said she was hiding her face in the video because she’s afraid of Tokyo Toni.

Others expressed similar fears of Toni and for Angela, who has been a target of Toni’s hostilities over the years.

Many fans say Toni is “jealous” of Angela, because of the influencer’s success.

One TikTok user wrote: “All she did was break generation curse and that [irks] some darkness from a woman that wanted the worst for you.”

Another fan wrote: “Girllllllll as a mom of two girls.. I COULD NEVER! I’m praying for her! My God.”

A third person wrote: “It is real, I just saw her post on her page that she is making a docuseries on her YouTube called surviving Chyna .. girl Tokyo is wild!!”

Jesse Jackson Jr. called out three former presidents and a former vice president for using his father’s funeral to take shots at the current U.S. president.

Jesse Jackson died from natural causes on February 17 at his home in Chicago, Illinois. He was 84.

Jesse Jackson Jr. rebuked former presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and former Vice President Kamala Harris for using his father’s memorial service to bash sitting President Donald Trump, who was not invited to the service.

The Jackson family had asked invited guests not to politicize Jesse Jackson’s final homegoing service held at Chicago’s House of Hope on Friday, March 6.

During the memorial service, Obama said each day is a “new assault on our democratic institutions.”

“Each day, we’re told by those in high office to fear each other and to turn on each other, and that some Americans count more than others, and that some don’t even count at all,” the former president said.

“Everywhere we see greed and bigotry being celebrated, and bullying and mockery masquerading as strength. It’s hard to hope in those moments,” Obama added.

Harris used her eulogy to brag that she “predicted a lot about what’s happening right now.”

Jesse Jr. said the grandstanding Democrats disrespected his father, after they used their eulogies to bash Trump’s policies and the Iran-Israel conflict.

“Yesterday, I listened for several hours to three United States presidents who do not know Jesse Jackson,” Jesse Jr. said Saturday during a private memorial service at Rainbow Push Coalition headquarters in Chicago.

“He maintained a tense relationship with the political order, not because the presidents were white or black, but the demands of our message, the demands of speaking for the least of these — those who are disinherited, the damned, the dispossessed, the disrespected — demanded not Democratic or Republican solutions, but demanded a consistent, prophetic voice that at no point in time ever sold us out as people,” he continued.

A woman fired multiple rounds at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion on Sunday, while the pop singer was at home. Police said at least one round pierced a wall surrounding the $13.8 million mansion. More rounds hit a security gate.

The “We Found Love” singer was not harmed in the attack.

The 30-year-old suspect fired multiple shots from an assault-style rifle hitting the gate and an RV parked at the property.

Police responded to the shooting around 1:20 p.m. Sunday in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood. Officers took the shooter into custody without incident.

Police said Rihanna’s house was “targeted” by the woman, who is not identified.

According to police, the female suspect fired an assault-style rifle from inside her vehicle across the street from Rihanna’s home. The house was “targeted” and no other homes were struck by gunfire.

The Los Angeles Police Department did not confirm reports that Rihanna’s common-law husband, A$AP Rocky, was the woman’s intended target. It is not clear if he was at home when she fired the shots.

Rihanna, 38, and A$AP Rocky, 37, share three children: sons RZA, 3, Riot Rose, 2, and a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, born September 2025.

Beyoncé fans who bought Mama Tina Knowles’ seafood gumbo at the Houston Rodeo are expressing their disappointment.

Mama Tina brought a huge pot of her famous gumbo to the Houston Rodeo. “You need to try it,” she told a blogger on Tuesday. “It’s sort of like a soup. I think I would liken it to bouillabaisse base but it’s better.”

Tina told FOX 26 reporter Nate Griffin that cooking gumbo “is a very tedious process.” She said it takes 15-20 hours to cook one pot of her gumbo and the ingredients are very expensive.

“It’s just a hybrid of things that make it a wonderful taste,” she told Griffin.

Mama Tina said “Everybody’s been wanting to try my gumbo! I’ve been making gumbo for forty-something years!”

But fans expressed their disappointment after shelling out $25-$30 for a cup of Mama Tina’s gumbo at the rodeo in Houston.

Some people said the taste was Ok but it was too watery. Others said the gumbo was “nasty” and too expensive.

One fan shared a video of herself picking empty shrimp shells out of a large styrofoam cup. She urged fans to try the gumbo for themselves.

One man assured fans that he is a true Beyoncé fan – before he went on to trash Mama Tina’s gumbo.

X user @wya__hoe wrote: “Ain’t a day in history where anybody looked at Tina and thought ‘I know that bish be throwing DOWN in the kitchen chile.'”

X user @MinajMyDollas commented: “Not she selling yall Shrimp Shells & Boiled Water.”

But a mother and daughter traveled to Houston just to meet Mama Tina and sample her gumbo. They were very happy with their experience.
