President Joe Biden has announced he will step aside and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him on the ballot in November.

There was growing pressure on Biden to drop out of the race after his disastrous debate with former President Donald Trump in June.

Newsmax was first to report that Biden would announce he is dropping out of the race on Sunday.

Biden, 81, is isolating at home in Delaware after testing positive for his third bout of Covid-19 in Las Vegas last week.

Former President Barack Obama reportedly told Biden’s camp that he doesn’t see a path forward for Biden in the November 2024 election.

The news that Biden has dropped out in favor of Harris comes after the president told BET he can no longer “walk through the projects” and “black neighborhoods on foot.”

“I would ordinarily be going through black neighborhoods on the ground, on foot, walking through neighborhoods,” he said. “I have a tradition, I close every campaign… going into the projects and going on the eastside. But I can’t do that now — not because of the Black community. Because it’s too dangerous for me to be out walking unaccompanied.”

Biden made the statement after former President Trump was shot during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. Trump miraculously survived the assassination attempt. A bullet grazed Trump’s right ear and he will require plastic surgery.

The WNBA All-Star game was supposed to be a warm-up for Team USA as they head to the 2024 Paris Olympics.

But the seasoned veterans were upset by Team WNBA 117-109 on Saturday night in Phoenix, Arizona. At one point the All-Stars led the Olympians by 20 points.

Arike Ogunbowale, 27, scored a record-breaking 34 points — all in the second half — to secure the victory and earn the MVP trophy. She also won MVP in 2021.

With Team WNBA trailing by 2 points in the second half, coach Cheryl Miller called Arike off the bench.

“I wasn’t expecting her to say my name,” Arike said. “She just told me to take a deep breath and play my game.”

Arike scored 21 points in the third quarter — the most in a single quarter in WNBA All-Star Game history. She added 13 more points in the 4th quarter to lead Team WNBA to the upset victory.

Team WNBA exposed Team USA’s weaknesses and humiliated Team USA’s head coach Cheryl Reeve.

Reeve’s Olympians aggressively defended Caitlin throughout the game. But her strategy left Team WNBA’s sharpshooters wide open at the 3-point line.

Caitlin, 22, finished with 4 points and 10 assists.

After the game, Reeve said she did not second-guess her decision to leave Caitlin off the Olympic roster.

Her hostility toward Caitlin is apparent even to fans who are new to the WNBA.

Angel Reese, 22, collected a few of Caitlin’s laser passes. Angel finished with the second double-double in WNBA All-Star history.

Angel and Arike won a half-court shooting contest on Friday.

Women’s basketball icon Cheryl Miller is coaching the All-Star team. Miller commented on Caitlin and Angel’s bitter rivalry.

“I’ve been able to step back and watch from afar,” Miller said at practice on Friday. “I love and appreciate the rivalry. I love what they’ve done for the women’s game at the collegiate level to now. It’s working. It was only a matter of time. Great narratives, great storylines.”

Meanwhile, Atlanta Dream star Allisha Gray became the first WNBA player to win the 3-point contest and the skills challenge in the same night.

Allisha won $5,150 from the WNBA and $110,000 from Aflac. Allisha’s annual salary is $185,000.

The WNBA All-Star game airs on Saturday, July 20 at 8:30 PM EST on ABC.

Pop Smoke, born Bashar Jackson, was gunned down in a Los Angeles AirBNB on February 19, 2020. He was 20.

2 adult males and 2 juveniles (15 and 17) were charged with the rapper’s murder.

King Vermont Raskel, a.k.a. “Blockstar”, was only 17 when he killed Pop Smoke.

Since his release from jail, Blockstar, now 21, has been active on social media and disrespecting the dead.

In a recent interview, Blockstar showed no remorse for his actions.

“I’m not sorry about nothing,” Blockstar said. “It should’ve never happened, but I ain’t sorry. If I could go back, I’ll go back. But I ain’t sorry. Ni**as die every day.”

Pop Smoke’s mother Audrey Jackson said she didn’t listen to his interview.

“It doesn’t make sense to hold on to some sort of anger and bitterness that you can’t do nothing with,” Jackson told Hot 97’s TT Torrez. “I’m not gonna hold onto something because then you’ve won. You’ve eaten my soul. I can’t let you do that.”

She continued: “I’m not tuned into that. I have people who will come and say, ‘Have you heard?’ People will hit me up like, ‘Ma, are you OK?’ I felt a way when you just said he was being disrespectful because I’ve been told that he’s been interviewing and being disrespectful. And I gotta let that go because that’ll eat me up. I gotta let that go. ‘Cause the bottom line is, your life is over. His life Is finished. He’s living, but if that’s his approach to what he’s done, life is done for him.”

Blockstar took to Instagram and laughed at Jackson’s interview: “My life ain’t over lol,” he wrote.

J.D. Vance sparked debates on social media when he said childless women with cats are ruining America.

Vance, born James Donald Bowman, made the remark during an interview with Tucker Carlson.

Former President Trump announced Vance as his vice-presidential running mate on July 15.

Vance is anti-abortion because he believes Americans should have more children.

“We are effectively run in this country… by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made,” he said. “And so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”

Vance, 39, suggested that America can’t be great again if the population continues to decline. He said childless people don’t have a “direct stake” in America.

He continued: “How does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?”

Vance’s core beliefs have changed over the years. He previously defined himself as a “Never Trumper” who despised Trump. But he changed his mind while running for the Ohio Senate.

In a short period of time, Vance’s core beliefs shifted from liberal to conservative.

Conservatism is based on the basic principles of Christianity: family tradition, moral integrity, and belief in God.

Vance and his lawyer wife Usha Chilukuri Vance have been married 10 years. They share 3 children.

Last year, he purchased a $1.6 million home in the liberal enclave of Del Ray, about eight miles south of the White House in Northern Virginia.

Black Girl Sunscreen Nets $1.1M On Amazon After Imitators Removed

Black Girl Sunscreen earned $1.1 million in 3 months on Amazon after imitators were removed from the platform.

Shontay Lundy launched Black Girl Sunscreen in 2016 through a personal investment of $33,000. She was inspired to launch the company after friends suggested she wear sunscreen while hiking.

Through her research into sunscreens she found few brands catering to the Black community. Shontay created a hydrating line of products that would not leave a white residue on Black skin.

The Black Girl Sunscreen line includes Pumpkin Spice Sun Protection SPF 30, Make It Spice Body Spray SPF 30, and Make It Pop Sungloss SPF 50.

“There is a little bit of Shontay in all of my products,” Lundy told AFROTECH™. “What was important for formulating these products was considering what is important for women of color and Black women. We don’t want anything to dry out our skin. So while creating Black Girl sunscreen, this and no white residue were the most important factors.”

In a video on Instagram, Shontay announced the company earned $1.1 million in profits in just 3 months on Amazon. She said Amazon got rid of competing imitators using her brand name and likeness.

“So what’s new with Black Girl Sunscreen is that we hit $1.1 million today in about three months on Amazon.com,” Lundy said in a video shared on Instagram. “This is important because previous to us being on this platform, we had a lot of bad actors posing as Black Girl Sunscreen, literally using our images, our name, our likeness, and selling products as Black Girl Sunscreen. So we came on the platform and wiped them all out, and now we’re getting the money for us, for our business.”

Black Girl Sunscreen products were available in 250 Target stores in 2019. The products later launched in Ulta, Walmart, Kohl’s, and more by 2023. Additionally, in 2020, $1 million in private funding was raised, bringing its valuation to $5 million at the time.
