Georgia Aquarium President and CEO Dr. Brian L. Davis died suddenly on Tuesday. He was 50.

Davis was not ill and his death was unexpected, according to reports. No cause of death was revealed.

The Georgia Aquarium announced “the passing of our leader, friend, and mentor, president and CEO, Dr. Brian Davis,” in an emotional statement on Tuesday.

“We are heartbroken by this news. Brian was a giant in leadership with his intellect, wisdom, and imagination,” Steve Koonin, Chairman of the board of Georgia Aquarium said in a statement.

“He was a really supportive, caring individual,” said Atlanta radio personality and philanthropist Frank Ski (left).

Ski said Davis was supportive of his Frank Ski Kids Foundation, which introduces inner city kids to science, technology, athletics and the arts.

“Davis had an ability to bring out the best in children,” Ski said.

Ski recalls that Davis once opened the aquarium and let 500 kids in for free, “kids that would have never had the opportunity to visit the aquarium,” he said.

In another tribute, Central Atlanta Progress said Davis “is survived by his wife, Dr. Andrea Davis, three children, and two grandchildren.”

The Georgia Aquarium will have limited operations over the next few days to allow staff members to grieve, AJC.com reported.

Davis was one of the aquarium’s first employees before it opened in downtown Atlanta in 2005.

He joined the aquarium in 2003 as its director of education, according to his LinkedIn page. Davis worked on and off at the Aquarium before becoming its executive vice president in June 2018. He became president and CEO in January 2020.

Davis was also an assistant administrator at Cobb County Schools and the president and CEO of The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk in Connecticut.

Pregnant R&B singer Ashanti, 43, is reportedly embarrassed after her husband, Nelly was arrested for possession of ecstasy in Missouri.

Nelly, 49, was arrested in a St. Louis casino around 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

A Missouri State Trooper asked Nelly for his identification after the rapper won several casino jackpots.

When Nelly went to collect his winnings, he was searched by the officer who found ecstasy pills, also known as “Molly.”

The officer ran a search for warrants and found Nelly had an outstanding warrant for operating a vehicle without insurance in Maryland Heights in June 2018. The warrant was issued in December 2023.

The state trooper handcuffed Nelly and “felt compelled” to “parade him through the casino in front of other customers,” his attorney, Scott Rosenblum said.

Rosenblum said the cop was “overzealous” and “needlessly” ran a search for outstanding warrants. He said the cop did not have probable cause to search Nelly for drugs.

“I am 100% confident this case will go nowhere,” Rosenblum said. “And we will be asking for an inquiry into this officer’s conduct.”

The case may get dropped, however, the “Hot in Herre” rapper is still in trouble at home.

Ashanti trended on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday. She was celebrating her mother’s birthday when the news of Nelly’s arrest broke.

Ashanti’s fans are furious that Nelly, a known womanizer, was arrested with ecstasy pills. They claim he wasn’t taking the stimulant drugs for sex with Ashanti because she’s still pregnant (and long overdue).

A YouTuber reported that the “What’s Luv?” singer and Nelly welcomed a baby boy 2 weeks ago. But the YouTuber used a photo of Da Brat’s baby. So far, no credible news outlet has confirmed the childbirth rumor.

Nelly and Ashanti met in 2003 and dated for a decade before breaking up. They linked up again in 2023, and announced they were expecting a child together — her first and his third.

Despite having a woman’s love, the bad boy rapper can’t seem to stay out of trouble.

In April 2015, Nelly was arrested on felony drug charges in Tennessee after a tour bus he was riding on was pulled over by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Nelly was also arrested in October 2017 in Auburn, Washington, after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her on his tour bus.

The Buckhead lounge where ex-Douglas County Judge Christina Peterson was arrested has been evicted.

Video footage shows furniture, alcohol and other items set out on the sidewalk outside the Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge on Wednesday.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a report of people stealing the lounge’s merchandise that had been set outside.

People are seen rummaging through boxes of alcohol in the parking lot.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the owner of the lounge says the landlord evicted them even though they paid the rent. The owner told FOX 5 they were in court attempting to stop the eviction.

The landlord declined to speak to FOX 5 about the eviction.

A beauty supply store near Atlanta was also evicted on Wednesday. People were seen filling shopping baskets and their cars with merchandise.

The Red Martini was recently in the news when ex-Judge Christina Peterson was arrested for hitting a police officer at the club on June 20.

The Supreme Court of Georgia removed Peterson from the bench following her arrest.

Kartel said his wife has good taste in things. And she responded, “You’re one of them.”

After telling her not to drink Pepsi, he said, “A me alone fi fill up yuh belly.” Translation: “Only I can fill up your belly.”

Loyal reader Queen Nzingha shared some background information on Vybz’s wife in the comments this morning.

Queen Nzingha wrote:

“He has a wife, a WHITE WIFE, who took her privileged ass all the way from England to come marry him while he was in jail. This is actually a lil scandal in J.A. bc he left his longtime “baby madda” Shorty & folks are low-key not happy about it. She raised his 3 kids, all boys. Raised em well & kept his name/business alive while Kartel was locked up for 13yrs. Shorty managed his money and made sure that same lawyer that got him out was paid, using his money. So he trusted her enough to leave her in control of the funds. J.A. gossip is saying that Shorty held it down until she didn’t & the house he left her in while he was locked up might go to the new wife now that he’s out. THAT would be f’d up. Ppl are claiming she had a lil man & they broke up. But to DATE, nobody can say who the man/men is/are. But 13yrs she’s supposed to be a nun? FOOLISHNESS! When Kartel was FREE he had about 3-4 kids on her & put it IN SONGS so pleaaaaaaase!

Now Imma say this…. I think that white woman prolly got 1yr tops before she leaves him. Cuz she was lusting after him while he was locked up, life after lockup is VERY different. I wanna see how THAT pays out. Ppl think he’s using her to get visas to live outside of J.A. Maybe/Maybe not but if he signs any major deals rest assured this WW will benefit from it. Meanwhile Shorty was rocking w/him for EVA.”

Update: Adult film star Brian Pumper was egged by Bounty Hunter Bloods gang members as he stood at a bus stop in Los Angeles.

According to reports, Brian, real name Michael Felton, was just released from prison after serving several years behind bars for financial crimes. That’s why he was catching the bus.

In 2010, Brian was arrested and charged with applying for credit cards with stolen identification. He was released in 2016. However, he was arrested again in 2020 and held on $2 million bond.

Cell phone videos posted on X on Tuesday show the gang members buying eggs from a store, then egging the hunky actor at the bus stop.

“He said he got money but he was walking to catch the bus,” said one gang member. “Y’all f***ing him for nothing. F*** us. We got something!”

When Brian prostested the egging, one gang member told him, “You was cracking eggs on b*tches. Now we cracked them on yo’ a*s.” The thug likely referred to a scene from one of Brian’s popular adult films.

Brian tried to reason with the thugs.” I’m an entertainer,” he said, while licking egg off his lips.

A gang member responded, “Oh we are, too!”

One thug noted that Brian is broke. “He ain’t got nothing. He walking!”

Then they turned to a homeless man nearby and asked him to loan Brian his bicycle so he didn’t have to walk.

When told he went viral, Brian explained that he’s blessed and people cross paths for a reason. He said some people are desperate for some clout. “They haven’t achieved the art of going viral.”

He continued: “I’m blessed in so many different ways… A lot of people lack confidence. Some people are having “girlfriend problems or problems with their wives.”

Ye West Spends $50K/Month On Laughing Gas

Ye West, formerly Kanye, allegedly has a serious addiction to laughing gas.

Ye’s ex-chief of staff Milo Yiannopoulos revealed his former boss’s addiction in an affidavit.

Milo claims Ye pays celebrity dentist Thomas P. Connelly $50,000 a month for nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas.

He said in the affidavit that he forwarded all evidence of Connelly’s unlawful supply of gas to the Attorney General’s office and the FBI.

Connelly allegedly provided “instruction to the patient in the operation of nitrous gas canisters” he left “at the patient’s home” and “knowingly encouraged their use in the absence of a qualified anesthesia or medical professional by a person with history of mental illness and addiction,” Milo said in the affidavit.

Connelly installed Ye’s $850,000 golden grills.

Milo says Connelly is “aware” of Ye’s “psychological vulnerabilities” and “self-destructive consequences of dependence.” He believed Connelly is exploiting Ye by supplying the gas.

He said Connelly allegedly continued “to supply the gas after the emergence of distressing symptoms that led to widespread comment and concern”.

Milo claims that based on what he knows and believes, Connelly was “fraudulent” in taking “millions of dollars … from a patient he knew to be in a confused, dependent, weakened and addicted state.”

Meanwhile, Ye’s lawyer has asked to be removed from nine of his civil lawsuits because the rapper stopped paying him.

“Defendant, Kanye West, terminated relationship on 6/21/2024. Defendant also will not speak to counsel and Defendant refuses to pay counsel as well,” attorney Brian Brumfield wrote in court papers.

A 6-ft-6, 270-pound male student who was convicted of attacking his female teacher received his sentence on Tuesday.

Brendan Depa, then 17, knocked out teacher’s aide Joan Naydich, 59, in February 2023 for taking his Nintendo Switch game.

Cell phone video showed the brutal assault that left Naydich unconscious on the floor at Matanzas High School in Palm Coast, Florida.

Brendan Depa then repeatedly stomped on Naydich before punching her 15 times. Several staff members stopped the attack and rescued Naydich.

Depa was arrested and confined to a juvenile facility until his trial.

On Tuesday, Circuit Judge Terence Perkins sentenced Depa to 5 years behind bars and 15 years of supervised probation upon his release.

“Compounding the senseless physical violence was the screaming of obscenities, spitting on Ms. Naydich both before and during the incident,” said Judge Perkins.

Depa, now 18, threw his head back after his sentence was announced.

His adoptive mother, Leanne Depa, begged Judge Perkins to let Brendan go home with her. She reacted with outrage to the 5-year sentence.

Leanne Depa said Depa has autism spectrum disorder. He was also diagnosed with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

She said the justice system is biased against her son because he’s Black, large, and has a mental disability.

“They are punishing that he is black, they are punishing that he is large and they are punishing his disability,” she said after the sentencing.

“I think he needs help, and I think he needs treatment. But I don’t think he needs to be put away in a prison where he’s going to be taken advantage of or harmed,” she said, according to WESH.

The plan is for the show to kick off in December to give Janet time to rest.

TMZ’s sources say Janet will ring in the New Year with a special NYE performance at the Resorts World Theatre in Vegas.

Via TMZ — We’re hearing Janet’s residency at the Resorts World Theatre will be a relatively short stint … but the final details and dates are still being hammered out.

Our sources say Janet was recently offered a residency in London and passed on the offer because the Vegas deal was more lucrative.

TMZ broke the story … Celine Dion’s also about to finalize her residency deal at the same venue, likely kicking off in late 2024 or early 2025. Sources tell us there’s no new update on her deal, so it’ll be interesting to see how everything shakes out with both residencies.

Janet previously had a Vegas residency, “Metamorphosis,” at Park MGM in 2019 … and looks like she’s ready to take “Control” of Vegas a second time around!

Donald Trump hopes Joe Biden gets back in the race

Former President Donald Trump suggests President Joe Biden may get back in the race. Trump made the surprising statement in a post on his Truth Social app on Tuesday.

In his post, Trump suggested that Biden will “crash” the DNC and “take back the nomination” that he handed over to Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump wrote:

“What are the chances that Crooked Joe Biden, the WORST President in the history of the U.S., whose Presidency was Unconstitutionally STOLEN from him by Kamabla, Barrack HUSSEIN Obama, Crazy Nancy Pelosi, Shifty Adam Schiff, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, and others on the Lunatic Left, CRASHES the Democrat National Convention and tries to take back the Nomination, beginning with challenging me to another DEBATE. He feels that he made a historically tragic mistake by handing over the U.S. Presidency, a COUP, to the people in the World he most hates, and he wants it back, NOW!!!”

As you know, Biden dropped out of the race after debating Trump in June and contracting Covid-19 for the third time.

Biden endorsed Harris for president. Then former President Barack Obama endorsed Harris, as well.

However, now Trump claims Biden might return to the presidential race at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago next week.

To complicate matters, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the administration is “not preparing for potential transition of power.”

What does that mean?

As you know, Harris picked Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. They hit the ground running by holding their first rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Walz seems to be taking charge of Harris’ campaign — and she seems to be letting him. It’s almost as if Walz is the real presidential nominee.

Earlier in the day, Walz trended on X (formerly Twitter) under the hashtag #TamponTim.

The nickname refers to a bill signed by Gov. Walz mandating free tampons and sanitary pads in both boys’ and girls’ restrooms in all Minnesota schools (grades 4 through 12).

Some girls may identify as boys and use the boy’s restroom. They are biological girls who still menstruate every month. So the bill was thoughtful and compassionate.
