Out & About: Keyshia Cole and Jeezy shoe shopping

20

My spies tell me that Keyshia Cole and Young Jeezy are still an item. The couple were spotted shopping for shoes at a trendy shoe store in Little 5 Points. I can’t name the store because I don’t want the sista who works there to lose her job.

But she said Keyshia and Jeezy came in by themselves and Jeezy chatted on his cell phone while Keyshia tried on shoes. My source said if Jeezy’s boy on the other line only knew how whipped Jeezy looked holding Keyshia’s bags as she shopped. All that tough talk is hard to back up when your woman’s got your nose wide open, huh Jeezy?

Sonja Norwood sues Kim Kardashian

TMZ.com reports Brandy and Ray J‘s mom Sonja Norwood is suing Kim Kardashian for making unauthorized charges on her American Express card.

According to a lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Sonja Norwood, the mom of Brandy and Ray J, claims in 2004, when Kim K was a stylist, she was given permission to use Sonja’s American Express card to make “one (and only one)” purchase on behalf of Sonja.

According to the suit, Kim allegedly gave the card to other members of her family — Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr. The suit claims in 2006, the Ks racked up $62,793.83 in unauthorized charges. And, in 2007, they blew another $57,841.82. The total: $120,635.65!

And get this for audacity: the suit claims the Kardashians charged thousands of dollars in their own stores, Dash and Smooch.

It’s unclear why Sonja didn’t just cancel the card. (Source)

Thank you for voting today!

As a British citizen I was unable to vote in today’s Super Tuesday elections – but I heard most of you did! I heard the turnout to cast votes in Atlanta was huge. Analysts call this the biggest day of voting ever in U.S. history. Citizens of the United States overseas and in Canada were able to cast votes online for the first time.

Senator Barack Obama made up ground in his tight race against Senator Hillary Clinton and is expected to win California which will send the most delegates to the democratic national convention this Summer.

Stevie Wonder falls for Barack Obama

24

Song legend Stevie Wonder took a hard spill last night while walking up steps to the stage at a star-studded rally for presidential candidate Barack Obama. Luckily, Barack’s wife Michelle Obama was there to break his fall. This might not bode well for Obama who doesn’t need any bad luck at this stage of the game.

Other celebs in attendance at the Obama rally included his biggest supporter Oprah Winfrey. Wonder, 57, has been blind since infancy after he was given too much oxygen at birth which led him to develop a disorder which eventually caused his retinas to detach. (Source)

Q Tip endorses Obama and to that I say, so what?

24

Today I received several emails proclaiming rapper Q Tip is endorsing Senator Barack Obama for the democratic presidential nomination. That’s nice, but so what? Why is this news? Did anybody take note that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s wife Maria Shriver (another Kennedy) endorsed Obama?

Q Tip is a rapper. The last time I checked he didn’t even have an album out. Did somebody make Q Tip a community leader and I wasn’t informed about it?

Instead of worrying about who Q Tip (lol) is endorsing, everyone of us (well, except me because I’m not a citizen of this country) should be standing on line tomorrow to vote for the candidate of our choice. Who Q Tip endorses means nothing at all to me.

More Rihanna in Atlanta pics

As I told you earlier, Rihanna stopped by V-103 on Friday to chop it up with popular jocks Porsche Foxx and Ryan Cameron whose “Ryan Cameron: Uncensored” TV show premieres on Starz network tonight at 11 PM.

Rihanna told Porsche she is definitely not dating Chris Brown. Although I’m told her green eyes “lit up” when the question was posed to her, she laughed at the notion of dating her “best friend” who is already involved in a longtime relationship with his manager.

Rihanna also discussed losing her luggage to a thief while in Atlanta. The statuesque Ri Ri who is normally a stylish fashion plate, was left with only the t-shirt on her back.

Super Bowl XLII: THE BIG FIX

46

As you know the NY Giants beat the odds on favorites to win Super Bowl XLII last night in Phoenix. Only the state of New York, some parts of New Jersey and a few stray fans in the rest of the country believed the NY Giants could pull the upset over the then undefeated New England Patriots.

The analysts said the Giants best players were injured. They said Plaxico Burress and Osi Umenyiora wouldn’t even play. So how did the Giants do it? If you listen to talk radio shows this morning like I did (stop getting your news and information off the Internets!) you would know the answer: the fix was in.

Before you scoff, read the facts:

  • The Giants received far fewer penalties than NE in last night’s game
  • The refs looked the other way when Randy Moss was fouled on two consecutive plays late in the 4th quarter
  • The refs called the fewest penalties on an underdog team in the history of the Super Bowl
  • The refs looked the other way when the Giants had too many men on the field in the 3rd quarter forcing Belicheck to waste a crucial challenge

NE were 12-point favorites leading into the game. They were on track to become only the second team in history to go undefeated the entire season. They were facing a team that not only lost 6 times this season but were in danger of not even making the playoffs until the final few games.

Clearly the fix was in. But why? Obviously, New England’s arrogance and that little videotape cheating scandal at the beginning of the season had something to do with it. The NFL had to make examples of the cheaters by virtually spanking them in front of 90 million viewers.

Why were there so many non-calls during this Super Bowl? Why was Randy Moss roughed up on that final drive and not one flag flew? But most telling of all was what happened at the end of the game. There was no time on the clock as the Giants celebrated on the field. The coaches walked towards each other for that final obligatory handshake. Suddenly the NFL puts one second back on the clock. Why?

The refs pushed between the opposing coaches and you could almost hear one ref say to NE coach Bill Belichick, “coach, the NFL wants to rub this loss in your face! Get your team back on the field!” Instead, Belichick stormed off the field and into the locker room. Can a coach exit the field before the game is officially called? Sure if the fix is in. Does it matter?

Still not convinced? Check out this quote from Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) the day of the big game: “We’re not neglecting the stimulus package or Iraq or judicial confirmations here,” Specter said. “But the integrity of the game is very important. These players set the role model for America.”

Hopefully you didn’t lose too much money or sleep on last night’s game.

Video: Obama’s Super Bowl ad

4

Realizing he is losing ground with Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Barack Obama‘s campaign made a surprise move by buying ad space during yesterday’s Super Bowl. The 30-second ad shows Obama with bullhorn in hand addressing a crowd during a trip to Africa in 2006.

“We want an end to this war and we want diplomacy and peace. Not only can we save the environment, we can create jobs and opportunity. We’re tired of fear; we’re tired of division. We want something new. We want to turn the page. The world as it is is not the world as it has to be,” said Obama.

The 30-second ad cost Obama $250,000 and aired in 24 states during the Super Bowl. His campaign took in $32 million in campaign contributions last month alone.
