A pit bull mauled a man like a chew toy when he climbed through a window in his family's New Orleans home. The fatal dog attack occurred at a residence on South Claiborne Avenue at 6:41 p.m. on Sunday.

New Orleans Police spokesman Juan Barnes said the 66-year-old man suffered deep lacerations on both arms and died of severe blood loss. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was a relative of the family that resided in the home. The pit bull was the family pet.

The Louisiana SPCA took control of the dog as police continue the investigation.

Pit bulls are an aggressive breed that are trained to fight to the death. They kill by locking their massive jaws on the victim and shaking the victim like a rag doll.

The DailyMail.com reports there have been at least 11 fatal pit bull attacks so far this year, with 31 people killed by pit bulls in the first nine months of 2020. A majority of the victims were infants and toddlers.

A housekeeper who was allegedly mauled by Chris Brown's dog is suing him for unnecessary pain and suffering.

The woman, identified in court papers as Jane Doe, filed a lawsuit after failing to reach an out-of-court settlement with the troubled singer.

According to court documents, Doe was emptying Brown's trash when his dog attacked her outside his Tarzana, California home in December 2020.

She said she raised her arm to defend herself as the dog mauled her arm and face. She was lying in a pool of blood when Brown emerged from the house and told his crew to take the dog away.

Graphic photos in the court filing shows facial lacerations and a large chunk of flesh taken out of her arm.

Hades was reportedly euthanized weeks after the attack. The woman accused Brown of euthanizing the dog to destroy evidence.

She is seeking unspecified monetary damages related to the incident, citing loss of wages due to being unable to work, medical bills, emotional distress, and pain and suffering.

Joe Biden's dogs were shipped back to his home in Delaware after they reportedly terrorized the White House and took a chunk of flesh out of a staffer.

The White House will not comment on reports that the two German shepherds, Major and Champ, were shipped back to Wilmington after three-year-old Major showed aggression and bit a staffer.

One source told CNN that there was a "biting incident" involving a White House staffer that drew blood. There is also a report that the dogs ran wild off their leashes and that the staff was afraid of them.

The Bidens adopted Major in November 2018 from an animal shelter. Champ, pictured above with Michelle Obama and Jill Biden, is 13 years old.

The dogs moved into the White House soon after Biden was inaugurated on Jan. 20. Like children with no home training, they began making a nuisance of themselves.

In addition to the recent biting incident, the staff complained that Major was barking, jumping, and "charging" at the White House staff, according to the Washington Examiner.

During his presidential campaign, Biden criticized Donald Trump for being the first president in more than a century not to bring any pets to the White House.
