Brandy Norwood (left) and her arch nemesis Monica will face off against one another on Timbaland and Swizz Beatz's next online Verzuz battle.

The two R&B singers, who topped the charts in 1998 with their smash hit "The Boy Is Mine," will face each other for the latest installment of the popular web series on August 31.

"#History," Brandy wrote on her account. "Thank you @monicadenise and @verzuztv for making this happen. Let's celebrate!!!!"

"This will be historical," Monica noted on her own account. "It's an honor @brandy."

Monica (right) then encouraged fans to send in their requests:

"What songs would you all like to see us bring to @verzuztv !! Celebrating these catalogs is for the culture with love! From Young Women to Adult Women we've been with y'all! Name the songs you love."

The news comes amid drama between Monica and rap mogul Master P who dragged the mother-of-three for interfering in his brother Corey Miller's murder case.

Miller, 49, was convicted in 2009 of the shooting death of a 16-year-old fan at a nightclub in Louisiana. Miller maintained his innocence but was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

While Master P thanked social justice activist Kim Kardashian for her efforts to secure his brother's freedom, he called out Monica for using his family for clicks and views.

Master P, born Percy Robert Miller, 55, took to social media to apparently shade Monica for jumping on the No Limit Chronicles bandwagon.

"I don't know you and I ain't trying to get to know you, just for the record," Master P told Monica in a scathing Instagram post.

While Verzuz was started in March to keep fans entertained amid the Covid-19 lockdowns, viewers will be expecting the friendly competition to heat up between the pair, amid longstanding rumors of intense rivalry and arguments between the artists over the years.

Brandy and Monica will go head-to-head at 8 p.m. ET on Instagram/verzuztv and Apple Music.

Master P called out "fake people" trying to jump on the bandwagon to free his brother Corey Miller after his No Limit Chronicles on BET renewed interest in his brother's murder case.

Kim Kardashian-West teamed up with Miller's former flame, singer Monica Arnold to help free Miller from prison.

But Master P wasn't impressed with the attention-seeking celebrities efforts.

Miller, 49, was convicted in 2009 of the shooting death of 16-year-old fan Steve Thomas at a nightclub in Louisiana. Miller maintained his innocence but was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

Master P paid tribute to his grandmother, "Big Mama" who put her house up as collateral for Miller's $1 million bond the first time he went to jail.

"I put my trust in God, this is my angel. The lady that put the house up for my brother the first time he went to jail that I paid for. This is not about money. He needed property that was worth at least a million in Louisiana as collateral. RIP Big Mama you will never be forgotten #FreeCoreyMiller We work so hard to change his name back to Corey Miller, then these fake people use Cmurder again. The system [convicted] him on his name and lyrics. The only way to get back in front of the board is to show change and growth. The truth always prevails. No weapon formed against us shall prosper, every lying tongue that rises against us, Father God You shall condemn.

When Mars, Inc. announced Uncle Ben's rice will no longer bear the likeness of a Black man on the packaging, Master P came up with a new product replace it in Black households.

The music mogul said he is launching Master P's white rice to give back to the Black community.

While many in the Black community applauded Quaker and Mars, Inc. for putting an end to racial bias and racist stereotypes, others are disappointed that Black people are being erased from retail products.

Mars, Inc. said the change was long overdue, and the company said it will look at "all possibilities" to replace the familiar logo on it's rice products.

But Master P isn't waiting for corporations to make Black people shareholders.

Master P wrote on Instagram:

"I want to ask y'all one question... Who is Uncle Ben & Aunt Jemima? Our grandparents and minorities 'til this day have been buying these brands for years, thinking it's owned by our people. We have to change that narrative! Uncle P rice and PJ food changing the game. Economic empowerment. The more we make, the more we give. Uncle Ben is a model from the 1940s, just to educate the ones that are curious. #ownership It's time to buy our blocks back, groceries stores, and supply them."

My mom and I don't eat white rice because it's unhealthy. But if Master P sells brown rice, we will definitely try it if he is giving back to the Black community.
