Phoenix Suns' VP Ryan Resch made NBA history by becoming the first openly gay executive in the team's basketball operations.

Resch, the Suns' vice president of basketball strategy and evaluation, came out to Suns General Manager James Jones.

Now Resch has set his sights on a new goal: to normalize homosexuality in the National Basketball Association.

"I finally looked at my personal life and I realized just how deeply unhappy I was," he told ESPN. The hardest part then was saying, 'What are you afraid of? Why are you actually afraid to admit who you are and tell the world who you are?'"

"I finally told myself, 'You need to stop running away from the obvious, and the obvious is that you're gay.'"

The 29-year-old wants to pave the way for other closeted executives and NBA players to come out.

"Ultimately my goal is to normalize for people in and out of the league the existence of gay men and women on the basketball side," Resch said.

Resch, who admitted to previously dating women, explained why down-low NBA players are afraid to come out of the closet.

"For a player who's concerned about risking sponsorship, or extremely high-dollar contracts, or dealing with media questions or podium questions when they're in the middle of a playoff run, that's difficult. We don't necessarily provide people in this industry with the privacy, time or space to become comfortable with who they are."

A fan was ejected from an arena in Dallas after he reportedly shoved Chris Paul's mother in front of his children.

The incident happened on Sunday during Game 4 of the Mavericks-Suns NBA playoff series at the American Airlines Center.

The fan got into an altercation with the Phoenix Suns star's mom in the stands. Paul's mother was sitting next to his wife and their children behind the Suns' bench when the fan shoved her without provocation.

Cell phone video shows team officials holding Paul back before security removed the fan from the arena.

An outraged Chris Paul took to Twitter to voice his frustration over the incident late Sunday.

He tweeted: "Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans but the fans can put they hands on our families... f--k that!!"

The Dallas Mavericks issued a statement on Sunday.

"The Dallas Mavericks are aware of an incident between a fan and the family of Chris Paul. It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today's game."

Paul fouled out of the game with just 5 points in the Suns' 111-101 loss to the Mavs. The best-of-seven series is now tied 2-2. Game 5 is on Tuesday in Phoenix.

Chris Paul entered the NBA's health and safety protocol after testing positive for Covid-19, according to the Phoenix Suns.

Paul received both Pfizer mRNA vaccine shots, said a source speaking anonymously to The Associated Press.

Covid mRNA vaccines do not protect against contracting the virus or transmitting the virus. However, the CDC continues to urge people to take the still experimental shots.

Paul could be cleared to return quicker than someone who tested positive for the virus but didn't take the shots.

In March, after all teams chose to receive the vaccines, the NBA said "if an individual has symptoms consistent with COVID-19, the previous protocols apply” — meaning anyone with those symptoms “may be subject to quarantine” regardless of their vaccination status.

Phoenix practiced on Tuesday and Wednesday without Paul, in preparation for the start of the Western Conference finals next week.

R&B Diva Monica Brown posted photos of her three adorable children, Rocko, Romelo and Laiyah, on her Instagram page last week. Monica is with her family in Arizona where her husband Shannon Brown plays for the NBA's Phoenix Suns. Other celebrities who recently gave birth, including Tamar Braxton and Kim Kardashian, are low key jealous of Monica, who looks like she was never pregnant. Unlike Beyonce (who many believe was never pregnant), Monica doesn't have to fake a pregnancy. Mo has good genes which helps her body to melt off baby fat.
