Ruby Rose stunned fans on Wednesday when she claimed she left the Batwoman TV series in 2019 because of abuse, negligence and poor working conditions.

The 35-year-old Australian star was allowed to save face by saying she quit the series due to back and neck injuries.

In an Instagram stories post on Wednesday, Oct. 20, Rose revealed she was fired from the show and she lashed out at the showrunner and executive producers over unsafe conditions on set.

Rose claimed Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries and executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter made everyone work when the pandemic shut down other shows.

She said she was forced to return 10 days to the series after suffering a neck injury on the set. Rose said undergoing surgery for her neck injury prompted her to speak out.

"They ruined [the character] Kate Kane and they destroyed Batwoman, not me. I followed orders, and if I wanted to stay I was going to have to sign my rights away."

Rose also called out co-star Dougray Scott, insisting he was "a nightmare" to work with.

However, Warner Bros. execs clapped back at her allegations, saying they opted not to renew her contract for a second season after complaints about her behavior on set.

Batwoman producers released a statement confirming Rose was let go in part because of "complaints about workplace behavior".

They wrote:

"The truth is that Warner Bros. Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned."

Actress Javicia Leslie replaced Rose as the show's lead ahead of season two. The upcoming third season of Batwoman will feature the addition of actress Robin Givens.

Ruby's casting as the female Caped Crusader drew so much criticism that she deleted her Twitter account in disgust.

Viewers complained that the openly lesbian actress wasn't "gay enough" for the role and she was a terrible actress.

Meanwhile, Javicia, 33, shared a Deadline.com article about her casting on her own Instagram page, writing: "For all of the little black girls dreaming to be a superhero one day... it's possible!"

In a statement about her new gig earlier in the day, Javicia said: "I am extremely proud to be the first black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television, and as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show, which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community."

Batwoman premiered last year with Ruby making history as TV's first openly gay superhero.

According to reports, Javicia's character Ryan Wilder replaces from Ruby's Kate Kane when she goes missing. The new season will premiere on television in January, 2021.

Ruby Rose was spotted walking with a cane weeks after undergoing surgery on her spine. The 31-year-old actress experienced nausea and vomiting related to an adverse reaction to her pain medicine on Tuesday. She posted an Instagram.com photo of herself leaning over a toilet.

She wrote in the caption: "Ever found out you’re allergic to Codeine in an entirely pink room... with pink walls, pink stairs, pink doors, all while you’re 4 hours from home neither... but that would really suck."

Chris Brown in Croatia

They say Chris Brown is heading for a serious downfall. The 27-year-old is so reportedly so strung out on drugs and alcohol that it's a wonder he can stand up straight to perform in concert night after night. Brown's life spiraled out of control after he beat the brakes off ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He reportedly turned to substance abuse after he found out the only woman he ever loved (besides his mom) used him to come up. Karrueche Tran had a master plan that she (and manager Jacob York) executed to perfection. The only bright spot in his life is his 2-year-old daughter, Royalty. His mother, Joyce, keeps him motivated by sending him Snapchat photos and videos of his adorable daughter.
