An Instagram model's battle with AIDS leaves Chris Brown's fans worried about his health. Gena Tew, 27, shared a TikTok post detailing her battle with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS).

Gena said she didn't know she had AIDS until a doctor informed her after she experienced unexplained weight loss, nausea and vomiting and extreme fatigue.

She tested positive for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and her weight loss was due to wasting syndrome - one of the so-called AIDS-defining illnesses. Her condition is so debilitating that she is unable to walk without assistance.

Gena believes she was infected with the HIV virus when she was 17. She doesn't know who infected her.

Gena was once a popular Instagram model who traveled in the same circles as hip-hop stars Chris Brown, Nick Cannon and KanYE West, among others.

According to public health officials, 1.2 million Americans are living with HIV or AIDS.

Doctors and coroners stopped listing AIDS as a cause of death in the mid-1990s due to the stigma. Which means the true number of AIDS-related deaths in America will probably never be known.

The Government Employees Insurance Company (Geico) has been ordered to pay $5.2 million to a woman who claims she caught an STD during unprotected sex in the backseat of her boyfriend's car.

In February 2021, the woman informed Geico that she contracted HPV, the human papillomavirus, in her then-boyfriend's car and she intended to sue for damages.

A judge ordered the woman and Geico to settle the lawsuit in arbitration. An arbitrator later found that the couple's sex in the backseat of the car "directly caused, or directly contributed to cause" the HPV infection.

The woman was awarded $5.2 million after Geico was found liable because the man did not inform her that he was infected with the HPV virus.

Geico filed a motion asking the judge to throw out the large award, claiming the judgment violated its rights to due process.

However, Geico's request was denied. Geico then filed an appeal.

On Tuesday, a three-judge appeals panel upheld the lower court's decision, saying the lower court did not err by denying Geico's motion, because the company did not have a right to "relitigate this issues."

One of the judges said the company was offered "no meaningful opportunity to participate" in the lawsuit and existing law "relegat(es) the insurer to the status of a bystander."

The CDC first detected cluster cases of monkeypox virus in the United States in 2003.

As cases of a "new" monkeypox spreads in US cities, experts are questioning whether the virus is sexually transmitted.

Symptoms of monkeypox include fever, headache, muscle aches, weakness, and swollen lymph nodes (in neck, armpits and groin areas. Symptoms are followed by blisters that burst and crust over.

Health officials say monkeypox infection can be prevented by vaccines stockpiled from previous outbreaks.

The viral disease is believed to be spread to humans by domestic prairie dogs and other exotic animals being kept as household pets.

Health officials wonder if the recent spike in monkeypox cases in the U.S. and Europe is caused by a "new" virus.

Through the first months of 2020, more than 4,500 cases and 171 deaths have been tracked by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Now officials fear that monkeypox has mutated into a new, more contagious virus that is sexually transmitted.

"The cases currently being detected are among those engaging in sexual activity, and the symptoms are unfamiliar to many," the WHO said in a statement.

Dr. Jeremy Faust discovered that all 89 confirmed monkeypox cases in Europe are among men who had sex with men.

Of the cases confirmed in Europe, Dr. Faust said, "all 89 are males, a large number of whom are young and middle-aged adults."

Dr. Faust said the evidence "suggests strongly" that monkeypox may still be primarily spread through sexual contact, a known major mode of transmission.

He said if the virus was spread through the air via respiratory droplets or surface to skin contact, some women would be infected by now.

Virologist Angela Rasmussen believes the virus is spread within a sexual network of men who then travel, which explains why the virus is popping up in other countries.

R. Kelly's former 17-year-old live-in lover testified they had sex without using protection and he gave her a painful sexually transmitted disease.

Jane Doe number 5 testified during Kelly's ongoing sex trafficking trial at the Eastern District of New York courthouse in Brooklyn on Monday.

Taking the witness stand, Jane Doe number five, who allegedly dated the singer for five years, revealed she first met Kelly in 2015 at a show in Florida when she was 17.

She explained someone from his entourage handed her a piece of paper with his cell phone number written on it, and told her not to tell anyone about it. Kelly then offered her an audition to sing for him and she met up with the star days later, when he allegedly performed oral sex on her.

The unnamed accuser then told the court that Kelly's assistant booked plane tickets for her so she could visit the singer on his tour stops. She insisted the aide knew she was only 17.

Jane Doe claimed when she first had sex with Kelly, he didn't use protection or disclose his STD.

Kelly's physician of 25 years earlier testified that Kelly had genital herpes since 2007.

Jane Doe said she moved in with the singer at his leased mansion in Atlanta, Georgia. There, he demanded she get permission from him or his assistant before leaving a bedroom and made her urinate in a cup.

Jane Doe testified she and Kelly had sex almost every day during the summer of 2015, and he videotaped their sessions.

She said she discovered she had contracted herpes from Kelly when she "couldn't physically even walk." Testifying through tears, she told the court, "I felt this man had purposely given me something he knew he had".

Jane Doe revealed she and Kelly received a letter of consent from her mother in September, 2015, allowing the 17-year-old to live with him and be home-schooled in Chicago, Illinois.

She testified Kelly flew her to tour stops, and she became pregnant in 2017. She was pressured to have an abortion by the star's assistant.

She also claimed the singer told another live-in girlfriend he married late singer Aaliyah, when she was 15, so he could accompany her to get an abortion when she fell pregnant.

Her testimony follows several days of similar claims from other women.

In earlier testimony, Kelly's former assistant said he paid $500 to bribe a court worker to obtain a marriage license for 15-year-old singer Aaliyah to marry Kelly because he feared she was pregnant.

Kelly was arrested over 2 years ago in Chicago and extradited to New York to stand trial. He has pleaded not guilty to the sex trafficking charges. He faces up to life in prison if found guilty on all counts.

Anal cancer is cancer that arises in the anus or the opening of the rectum where feces exits the body.

Anal cancer has been on the rise over the decades due to papillomavirus (HPV), which is the major risk for anal cancer. Anal cancer is not to be confused with colon cancer or rectal cancer.

Risk factors for anal sex

Receptive anal sex increases the risk of anal cancer in both men and women. Men who have sex with men have a higher risk of anal cancer than women. Even men who practice safe sex using condoms have a higher risk of anal cancer due to the increased friction in a very sensitive area that tears easily.

Anal sex transmits HPV which causes anal cancer. Skin to skin contact also transmits HPV.

"Unfortunately, HPV can also be transmitted to the anus through anal intercourse and cause cancer there," San Diego-based gynecologist Christine Sterling told POPSUGAR.

The anus is not a sex organ and does not self-lubricate like the vagina. You should use plenty of lubricant to cut down on the risk of friction and transmitting the HPV virus.

Should I use enemas before anal sex?

Some people use enemas before anal sex to evacuate the colon to reduce accidents.

The anus is attached to the rectum, the last portion of the colon (large intestine) where remaining water is absorbed into the bloodstream drying out the feces before it leaves the body. If stool too quickly moves through the colon (without the remaining water being removed), it will cause diarrhea or watery stools. If not enough water is removed, it will cause constipation.

This is why you should avoid enemas or colonics which disturb the intestinal process of removing just the right amount of water and absorbing it back into your bloodstream.

What are symptoms of anal cancer?

The first sign of anal cancer is bleeding after a bowel movement. You will notice pink or red stains on toilet paper after wiping. Also, you may notice frank red blood on the bowel movement in the bowl.

Other signs or symptoms include a lump near the anus, pain, itchiness, a change in bowel movements or discharge from the anus.

Pencil thin stools can be a sign of anal cancer, colon cancer, or hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids itself is not cancer but it can be a risk for cancer.

Most symptoms usually don't appear until the cancer has advanced to stage 2 or 3. Your doctor should check for anal cancer annually as part of your physical exam. Early detection of anal cancer can be done in your doctor's office. Your doctor might give you a diagnostic test to take home with you. The consists of sticks to take a stool sample and cards to smear the sample which will be sent to a lab.

Lil Wayne allegedly gave his first baby mama pubic lice during his Hot Boys days, former Cash Money rapper Turk claims.

Lil Wayne and reality TV personality Toya Johnson were high school sweethearts when she fell pregnant with his first child, daughter Reginae Carter, when he was 16 and she was 15.

Prince Williams/ATLpics.net

During a recent interview, Turk revealed he and Wayne contracted the crab louse from two sisters living in Houston.

"That's like my lil' bro, you feel me? We caught crabs from these two sisters from Houston," Turk said. "We was f**king these two sisters, and we got on the tour bus, and n***as was itching."

"Wayne gave that sh*t to Toya and I gave it to my baby mama," Turk said.

Pubic lice, also known as crab louse, are crab-like insects that cling to pubic hair and feed exclusively on the host's blood, causing intense itching in the genital area.

Wayne, 37, is known as a promiscuous ladies man with at least 4 children. The rapper first gained worldwide attention for appearing on rapper Juvenile's 1998 hit "Back That Azz Up" in 1998.

Rapper Cardi B admitted herself to a hospital on Wednesday, after suffering "real bad stomach problems for four days."

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper shared a Twitter picture of her hospital wristband and wrote that she had admitted herself after suffering abdominal pains.

"Honestly, cause I been having some real bad stomach problems for four days, I went to the ER last night," she penned, alongside a crying face emoji.

Stomach pains can be caused by a multitude of conditions such as indigestion, infections, and diseases such as cancer and pelvic inflammatory disease, also known as pelvic inflammatory disorder (PID).

What is pelvic inflammatory disease?

Pelvic inflammatory disorder is an infection of the female reproductive system, mainly the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

Women usually seek medical treatment when they suffer symptoms including lower abdominal pain, foul vaginal discharge, fever, burning with urination, painful intercourse, bleeding after sex, or irregular menstruation.

Cardi didn't share her diagnosis with her followers, so we don't know the cause of her abdominal pain. We are not assuming she is diagnosed with PID.

Untreated PID can result in longterm complications of the female reproductive system including infertility, scarring, ectopic pregnancy, chronic pelvic pain, and cancer.

What causes PID?

The disease is caused by bacteria that spreads from the vagina and cervix to the uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes. The disorder usually affects promiscuous women who have multiple sex partners or one sex partner who is burning.

40 percent of women diagnosed with PID also have a chlamydial infection or gonorrhea. Women who douche frequently can inadvertently push bacteria into their upper reproductive organs.

How is PID diagnosed?

PID is diagnosed during a pelvic examination, cervical observation, laparoscopy, or tissue biopsy. A definitive diagnosis of PID is made when pus is found in the fallopian tubes during surgery or during ultrasound.

How can I prevent PID?

Your doctor will advise no sex until the infection is resolved. If you are a sex worker, you will be advised to use protection such as condoms or barrier methods. You should also get tested regularly for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

Seek medical attention if you are experiencing symptoms of PID.

R&B crooner Usher teased his new single "Confessions Pt. 3" during a live set at the Cricket Lounge, where he previewed songs from his upcoming album.

The 41-year-old was the target of lawsuits from multiple women and one man, each accusing him of giving them herpes. The lawsuits were quietly settled out of court last year. The terms of the settlements - and whether any cash was paid out - were not disclosed.

But a clip from his live set left his fans wondering if he's trying to tell them something. Usher seems to allude to a "sickness" on "Confessions Pt. 3".

"Remember that time I was sitting up sick, couldn't sleep on the middle of the night? / And you said bae let me take you to the ER / I said 'Nah, Imma be alright / Well, the next day I found out from f*cking around that the sickness I had was life / And I was fixed with the decision to keep it / Knowing I had to get rid of it, rid of it, live with it / He don't know, I don't know, we had to deal with it."

The song concludes with: "That's the test to see if you're strong."

Then, addressing the audience directly, Usher says, "You realize what I just told you? You don't realize it, huh? Well, you can play it back."
