CIARA SLAPS BLOGS WITH TAKE DOWN ORDERS
As you know, Ciara has been the subject of a few not-so-positive posts on this blog.
So when someone emailed me photos from the set of her “Go Girl” video last week, I was the only urban blogger who chose not to post them.
But yesterday, a loyal reader emailed me to say Ciara’s camp was busy sending out C&D orders to urban bloggers — and even her fansite, Sincerelyciara.com, to take those pics down.
Why would she do that to her own fansite when she desperately needs the exposure, you ask? Because some celebrities don’t realize how ridiculous they look until they read the negative comments on these blogs.
Whether you guys know it or not, your comments are read by celebrities and taken very seriously — perhaps too seriously.
Celebs are constantly surrounded by ‘yes’ men and women who tell them what they want to hear because these people need to eat and they don’t care who they eat off of.
Most celebrities live in fantasy worlds and urban blogs provide reality checks for them.

I feel bad for her. Nothing she is doing is working for her. The Vibe spread worked against her. The booty shots she did in another mag worked against her and when these pics surfaced people either said she looked like a man or she needs to stop trying to be Rihanna or Janet. She has never really had her own identity. She came out as Aaliyah, then she morphed into a Flavor of Love Girl and now this. Who is she exactly? Whatever it is she needs to just be that. People like her dancing so I think they will accept the real her just because of that.

Why doesn’t she just let her talent speak for itself (oops forgot she can’t sing)… stay in your lane baby girl. It has worked for you thus far. Everybody can’t be Beyonce because then what’s a Beyonce.

@iscream - a reality show may not be a bad idea for her, if she can choose to just be her. I agree with you Bird, she doesn’t seem to even have her own identity … if your reading this Ciara, you can DANCE your *SS off … take the time to let that marinate … Do your homework on the dance industry as a whole, I would even like to see you on Dancing with the Stars or something. Sub par lyrics and the I am so different isn’t working for you.
Ciara is not that big.She probably needs to step back or she will bow our gracefully and so the curtains will fall, maybe she will like that.Ciara could be exposed as a fake or just a girl who doesn’t know herself.
Who even cares. Ciara needs to find something else to do. I wish these record labels would tell their artists that this is a short lived journey and that if you don’t stay on top of your game, you will certainly fall off and no one will ever care if they hear from you again. This reminds me of a episode from the Flintsones when Fred recorded a record and some teens heard it and he was instantly famous. Traveling here and there, turning out crowds until Wilma decided to start a rumor about him and the teens quickly deserted him.
I wonder what Hollywood and rap/hip-hop entertainers/comedians and other types of so-called celebrities are gonna do when money gets really tight and folks stop buying their cds, attending their concerts, etc. They’ll have to get a real job. Oh my!
A reality show? I don’t know about that. You still have to have a fan base for that as well. Look at Uncle Luke, even he has (had, it’s over now) a reality show on V-H1.

I agree what is a beyonce? She surely can dance her azz off, and their is nobody touching her in that area. I really, really enjoyed ciara’s last album, even though she can’t sing that well, her album did have to substance to it. I hope she comes back hard, she should realize that people have their own fan base, she doesn’t have to be like a beyonce cuz beyonce is for the birds, and rhianna is my girl she is so fashionable but she can’t dance, so everybodey fits in somewhere just concentrate on you and make your money.

Ciara with a reality show may just down grade her even more if she doesn’t have the personality for it. Not to mention sometimes she seems annoying when she talks. It may make her look like a lost air head.
I don’t know what happened to her, but people stopped feeling her.
I’m scared that she is going to dance one day and people are going to look at her like, “hoe sit down”.

I love Ci! I can see why she wanted the pictures down, she likes to present things to her fans the right way. When High Price leaked she was sad, because she wanted to treat her fans and present to them in the correct fashion. I don’t think Ciara cares about Beyonce nor Alien Princess Rhi, because Ciara has talent and her performances be off the chain! I think her album will do well, just like her last too, because she knows what works for her! You can not please everyone, and everyone is going to have something to say no matter what you accomplish! People are quick to slam this girl…but Sandra I noticed how you were really praising Ciara in most of your post until Philanna got fired as her manager. The problem with Ci is that she has no spunk about her. No one outside of the urban media really raves about like her Bey and Ri (even the people the she’s “replaced” get more rave in their endeavors). And with the Evolution she took a step back. Go girl might have warm reaction on R&B radio but it seems like her popularity is waning and sales will show that. So much for being the future…

Remember when Brandy had her reality show.
A reality show leading up to the release of an album IMO would certainly help boost the sale of any artist.

Ci really don’t have talent and honestly the dancing she doing is old school Rahim the dream and Kilo….the danced from back in the day.
Someone stated earlier, she was supposed to be Aliyah, but she will never be that. Then She did a Janet video, but she will never be that. She won’t be an international success like Princess Ri or Queen Bey.
Ci should really look into being a better Laurie Ann Gibson. She would make a great choreographer.

We respect you as an artist, and trufully you weren’t all that bad of a singer until we got word about you having two personalities, and an ego problem. You have to know that human beings will react naturally to something like that, and since we don’t know the anything outside of what we read on websites we are going to JUDGE. The element that you have for the Hip Hop/R&B genre is essential, you are the only female left in the game who can dance! There is no need for you to be a supermodel, Rhianna or Beyonce. You’re losing it girl…right now your image is very fragile, regardless of if what Sandra posted in the past is true or not. Vibe probably won’t f*ck with you anymore unless you have a hit album now, Your first single is not strong enough to get major sales the first week of your debut, and this 50 cent sh*t ain helping either. As a fan, I say, fall back, break another single (A HOT ONE), clean up this mess of an image (IT CAN BE DONE), and do not release that album until January. Its a situation that can be saved if you listen to people who have experience..not saying I have any, but I know there is someone wise on your team that has been telling you to WAIT. Sandra it’s like you have a score to settle with Ciara. Just because she fired your “friend” as her manager you been talkin down about CiCi and the things she does. But Ciara is a grown woman who can make her own decisions. She had a legit reason for taking down the photos, and as her fans we respect that. You turn things into much more than what they should be. Period. And as far as Bee and Forehead I don’t think she’s worried about them like you really want her to be.

I hope so, but honestly what do you think of Ci? Were you supportive of her work before those Sandra posts? I personally thought Evolution was an upgrade when it came out…she had a variety of songs not just a bunch of ballads (How that relates to her trying to be Beyonce or Rhianna I don’t know)…I think Sandra is getting carried away, but true or false, this is all making Ci look bad regardless. She needs to go back to the lab.

okay i’m joking. What bothers me about Ci right now is that she’s all over the place. There is a breakdown in communication somewhere in her camp when it comes to what her image is actually gonna be. The Promise video worked for her when it came down to her transitioning from the tom boyish singer to Sexy but the Vibe cover?? And I don’t even think it would have been such a huge deal if she didn’t deny.
Just say “I did it! I knew we were going for suggestive nude” and keep it rolling. That’s where I started losing my interest and respect for her as an artist.
To me she was on the right track, after the whole “Promise” transition. She killed last years BET Awards, She killed This Year’s BET Awards, Beautiful pictures all year round. So what! she didn’t get the recognition of Rihanna, her time was coming…but now she’s all over the place and I can’t keep up.
It’s time for her to sit down and figure out what she wants, how she wants to be represented and make it happen. She’s listening to too many people now. I’d have more respect for someone that removes their clothes and say “yea b*tch I did it and what…and my body looks f*cking great” then someone that does something and then acts as though it never happens or blames the universe for “putting them out there like that”

You might be right about SandraRose’s post, but when Ciara started posing naked and changing her images she kind of proved SandraRose right. I felt a bit disappointed that the lady who said, “Not my goodies,” started giving them away for free. So SandraRose had her ducks in a row.
Honestly, her posing with 50, “or her look a like” kind of shocked me. Cause a lot of people thought the picture was pretty, but we felt like she, “or her look a like” being Ciara didn’t have to do something like that. That’s for smuts and video girls. That was before SandraRose started pointing things out. That was basically a glimpse of things now.
I don’t think firing the manager started all this or SandraRose. I think that egos, or the fact that people change when they get power or become celebrities. Money and Power bring out the worst in people if they let it. And people may just be seeing parts of her they are not feeling. Even 50, has a song called, “Things Change”.
I think she is nice and pretty, and can dance really well but I think she wants the other side of her to show. Her dark side, not the good side. She is a young woman growing and learning herself so she is in a bit of a whirlwind now of trying to be whatever it is she wants to be.
All I wanna know is, is she turning into Michael or Janet good lawd!
Ciara is just going down the path that so many others have…she is losing herself.
In the entertainment industry if you don’t have a strong-positive team behind you will end up with nothing…
What Ciara needs to realize is nothing was wrong with her “innocent, girly” image…its so obvious she is doing anything to seek attention and prove her womanhood!!! This whole “good girl gone bad” image she is trying to pull is NOT working…sweetie leave it to Rihanna! You were Hip-Hop’s Sweetheart…I suggest you get back to the basics.

I don’t think we know celebrities like we think we would like to. We only know images. Her being a scorpio means she is going to be sexy naturally and that she is just expressing it. She just might be being her real/true self right now.
Management is what makes you lose yourself and stay a marketable brand.
I think Ciara should have stayed with Jazze Pha and kept bringing out those southern hits and then gradually work her way out to the yt’s. She can dance but singing is not her thing. What’s going to happen is both her and 50 gonna be somewhere thinking why don’t people like to listen to my music no more.
Well there is a lot of good advice here I hope she really does read this.

Ciara is a woman now, I think we need to let the goodies Ciara go y’all and let her grow up;however Ciara needs to act like a big girl and own up when she does things like a nude cover and she also needs to realize that nudity doesn’t equate to maturity.
There’s nothing artistic about Vibe, neither are they known for celebrating the human form (more like T&A), so trying to sell us that story isn’t going to fly and insults our intelligence as consumers.
I hope Ciara get in contact with some good image consultants, who can craft a better image in the media for her, so she can go from local pop star to an international pop star. I mean with her body she should’ve been on somebody’s runway by now, those dsquared2 guys love using celebrities. Poor Ciara she just needs help y’all

Oh yea and you maybe right Radios tend to discriminate against the artist they have ill feeling towards (certain jocks, and Djs) but usually if all is well in with the relationship between artist and Radio stations they will get some play like everyone else…THATS IF THE TRACK IS HOT…cause it has to be hot regardless!
