Both candidates in tomorrow’s Senate runoff election brought out the big dogs today. GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss was joined by Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin who attended 4 rallies culminating at the Gwinnett Center late today.
Meanwhile rappers T.I., Young Jeezy and Ludacris braved 30+ degree temps to campaign for Democrat Jim Martin at the state Capitol in downtown Atlanta.
All three rappers took the podium to urge their fans to vote for Martin who is in a tight race with Chambliss.
At stake is complete control of Congress for the Democrats if Martin comes from behind to win.
That is hardly likely since polls show Chambliss ahead with a comfortable margin. But it’s great to see the young brothers on quite a different stage than what they are used to.
The fact that Jeezy, Luda and T.I. joined together to lend their support to a political cause that they think is important to our community shows just how far they’ve come as men, fathers and responsible citizens!

Even the rappers are turning a new leaf…see Sandra…CHANGE is happening already. Maybe Obama being president will influence a positive vibe in all of the black race. Now we have something to unify us other than slavery…a black president.
Georgians - just remeber this vote could be as pivotal as the last. GA is traditionally a red state, but McCain did not win it by a large margin. It could have easily gone the other way if Obama’s campaign managers had saw fit to give that state the resources he gave other swing states just like IN, MISSOURI, OH and NC. Give him that filibuster proof Congess! Get out and vote again! Pros are - You can wear your Obama gear to rhe polls this time and the lines won’t be half as long!
Good 4 them! I hope the involvement & enthusiasm last past this election.
Sandra, your last statement says it all!
Amen!
Wow … Pres Elec Obama has brought a new level of involvement to a new generation.
Good Morn Family
I second that Avanti……..
Good Morning Family - Hi Kym…….
Good morning everybody!!!
It feels great to wake up to positive happenings in the community.
Brothas are standing up a lot more than loss of endorsements and defending violence in rap music.
What up everybody……….after reading the story, I have came to a conclusion that SandraRose has a GhostWriter…….cause that don’t even sound like something Sandy would write……
Lol @ goat … I think your right.
Goat!!!! I’ve said that before!!!!!
…actually that does sound like her. She is proper, articulate and comes across as very sweet.
The ghostwriter is the evil one.
@DivineBrown……..I hope you’re right!!!!!!!
Good for them…I will be voting today for Jim Martin, even though he is not the best Senate candidate, he’s better than Saxby Chambliss…
will the real sandra rose please stand!
