Kanye West Sucking Up to Beyonce, Says She’s Greater Than Tina Turner
Kanye West has been bad mouthing Beyonce all over the place in favor of Rihanna. Now he’s singing a different tune probably because Jay Z stepped to him.
During a press conference over in New Zealand today, Kanye West said this about Beyonce:
“Nobody really wants to recognize that Beyoncé is a f*cking living legend and that she is just as great, if not greater, than the artists that we had in the past…that she’s probably greater than Tina Turner.”

I think she will be a legend, maybe. I don’t think she is one now. I think you have to withstand the test of time. She is still in the height of her career which really just exploded in 2003. Destiny’s Child was a good group,but come on now. I think her performances are amazing, but her music is often mediocre.
I think Beyonce is a legend. There isn’t anyone in the world who doesn’t know who she is. Top selling cd’s & tours, million dollar movies (Austin Powers), clothing line…I respect her hustle. In my opinion, Angela Bassett made Tina a legend. She turned her back on her “r&b” roots and went to rock n roll after all those beat downs by Ike. But I have respect for both of them. Oh, and I love Kanye…he is a genius.

The first single of this latest cd was pure comedy. I thought to myself, why is this 40 yr old women talkin about “touch my body” and sh!t. That song was so juvenile, I could so hear Jessica Simpson sing that song!
I have put together the all-time best Black Folks Christmas song collection though, I must say. 2 CDs with everything from the Temptations “Christmas Song” to Boys II Men & Bryan McKnight’s “Let it Snow!!!” Wish I could sell copies… =D

My thing is, I’m a collector…so I collect music and then oftentimes, don’t even listen to it!! =) I’m not married, no kids, no man, nathan! So I won’t listen to two whole CDs of Christmas music just for me. I just like hearing the odd song every once in awhile. But now I know you like Christmas music, girl, give me somewhere to send it and I promise to send you a copy!! Trust me, you need it in your life like Juvey!! LOL!!

“Let’s just say it wasn’t a deal breaker,” the grinning actor told us. “When I met Etta [the real one], she told me, ‘Leonard and I did not do those things!’ So, yes, it was somewhat embellished. But what’s wonderful is the truth Beyoncé brings to that moment. That justified it.”
