FanMAIL: Tigger’s Friend is a Con Artist Too?
This morning I posted this pic of Tigger and his friend in my Celebs Out & About post.
According to loyal reader Tiffany, the dude is more than just Tigger’s friend, he’s a notorious con artist who has been arrested in the past for impersonating female artists such as Missy Elliott (LINK).

I visit you site often and My mouth dropped when I saw that picture of Tigger with his “friend”.
That dude with Tigger name is Dustin Wilkins. He goes by D. Chosen Wilkins now. I guess it’s because his real name has such bad rep for impersonating Missy back in the day (LINK). He is such a con artist but yet he manages to get next to these celebs. I just don’t get it.
He calls himself a songwriter/artist but best believe he uses that so he can get next to the stars he’s obsessed with. I guess you can say anything to these industry folks and they will believe it. OMG!! I just can’t believe that so many celebs/music industry folks fall for his game.
I don’t know if you remember or not but years ago some guy was accused of impersonating Missy Elliot. Well, that’s him.
The most recent thing I remember was him impersonating Maia Campbell in the Sister2Sister article (LINK). As I read the article it was really pumping up this D. Chosen guy…then I saw his picture…I was NOOOOOO! He did this interview as Maia Campbell!!
I guess the more celebs he take pictures with… the more folks believe his story of being in the industry. It’s just so sad because he needs to be put in a mental institute. He’s such a fraud. Once you find out about the real him he will turn on you and try to sabotage your career or life.
FYI:
I’m not in the industry but I’ve heard so many stories about him.

Ironic!!! I once called the radio station and impersonated Stoney Jackson. I didn’t get prosecuted though. I did get a call from the real Stoney. He thanked me for keeping him relevant.heehee

The link says that he pretended to be her on multiple radio shows.
He didn’t impersonate them in person - he called the radio show in order to pretend he was Missy; and he called Sister2Sister and ‘gave’ an interview to the writer via the phone.

was wondering if anyone read the article on Maia Campbell in the current issue of S2S mag. Well the interview was suppose to be done to dispell some rumors but turn into a six page interview. The person as mentioned as “Chosen” D. Wilkins is the one I believe that did the interview. He is a Known FRAUD. He was sued by Missy Elliott for impersonating her in a radio interview and cost a radio personailty her job. He has impersonated Tatiana Ali, Maia Campbell and many others to say the least. I know him very well and I am not surprised that he would do something like this again to get exposure for his own personal satisfaction. Anyone with any type of intelligence would have know that that was not a very professional way to do an interview, only an amature would diss another atress ( Megan Goode) the way it was done in the magazine. All I have to say is Dustin Wilkins… GROW UP!!!!

I remember this interview with Maia it was twice in one year and I was damn she dont have nothing going on but as I read the second article was done in-person bye Maia she was talking mad ish about other female actress in my Neffa voice I was like “are you serious” lol! But back on-topic old dude he did impersonate Maia once.
Tiffany sounds like a serious hater. Did Chosen D steal her man or something? Stupid as the Missy thing is it supposedly happened 10 years ago when the man was a teenager. Her Maia claims have not been proven. A link to a reader created thread is proof of nothing. I have a feeling Tiffany was behind that as well.

Anyway. Somebody called Wendy yesterday talking about this guy. I thought they said he just got Millions from a family member dying. I believe they said Roy Wilkins. Who knows.
I’m not surprised by this. Bloggers and Media are so thirsty for a story they’ll buy into anything without confirming it first. That’s why half the stuff printed I take with a grain of salt.

At this point she is too old to play Winter. I always imagined Winter to be light skinned. Maybe the book described her that way. I can’t recall. Anyway, did you read the recently released Midnight? MAJOR disappoinment. Sista Souljah is on my bad side til she redeems herself with the next book in the series that is obviously coming based on the ending of Midnight.

I am currently reading Midnight…It is suppose to be a prequel to Coldest Winter Ever, not sequel…I haven’t heard good reviews about the book!…

Say what!?!?! I’ma go get my book signed so that it will at least be worth something. Then I will ask Sistah if she actually thinks “conversate” is a word or is that just how Midnight speaks? She used it over and over again in the book to my horror. I was unable to finish the book as well. I read about the first 150 pages then skipped ahead to about the last 25 and it was clear that I hadn’t really missed anything.

I know, still there WILL be another book that will also be a prequel to Winter. She doesn’t try to hide that fact in the ending. The ending can’t rest on it’s own. The story has to continue.

@ Bird Nah Winter was brownskin. I’m talking about Maia when she was on that LL show which was around the time that book came out.
I did not read the Midnight book.. (Came out too far from the Winter book) but I keep hearing the same thing… IT SUCKED!
Faith’s book Keep the Faith is a great read.
I need to pick up that Faith book as well as Bobby Brown’s. Don’t ask me why I want to read that book so bad.
Is it normal to pay to go to a book signing? I thought the goal was for the author to sell books. I ain’t paying to get in the book signing after I already gave her more than she deserves for that dang book.
I’ve heard his alias before, but HOW is he impersonating women and WHY is he choosing to impersonate them? lol…
you are RIGHT bird…. that was my first thought about the book signing. but the press release i got said it is also a fundraiser (This is a fundraiser for the Charlotte Literary Festival and our “Kickoff to Writing” scholarship program.) so imma let them slide.
