Does former music mogul Damon Dash have any luck with women? Now we know why we’ve been seeing Damon Dash playing the single father role lately. Fellas, stop wifin’ these hos. This is yet another example of treacherous gold diggers who only want you when you’re making that paper.

He’s got no money, but he sure does have mo’ problems.

Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear co-founder Damon Dash has been slapped with divorce papers by wife Rachel Roy, the Daily News has learned.

The stunning fashion designer piled onto Dash’s already sizable stack of lawsuits when she filed for divorce from her husband of four years this month in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Ed Hayes, a lawyer for Roy, declined comment, and a Dash spokeswoman did not return calls or e-mails.

i agree with you Sandra. these guys marry these chicks thinking they got the perfect one or for what she looks like and all the time these chicks are plotting and planning on how to spend and get that money, especially these sweet acting ones. they are on a mission. i don’t think i would want to be in the position of these celbs when it comes to finding the right one, because you never know. the same situation can happen with “normal” everyday people. the only difference is that the celeb. has more to lose. but this is a chance we all have to take if we want to be in love with someone. just hope you picked the right one.

tell it sandra!!! but in her defense, he does have a young son who is older than their youngest daughter. maybe their marriage really never bounced back from that. thats easier to ignore when you have money but now that he has no money…. peace. they never learn

I heard she filed for a non monetary divorce.. Meaning she doesn’t want any money from him. (Not that he has any).

& if it was all about the money wouldn’t she had left a long time ago. Dame has been reported being broke for some time now. This isn’t new news.. & I believe at one point her clothing line was doing well.

I agree some women are gold diggers but not all. Maybe the marriage just didn’t work. Dame comes across as an azz and an azz with no money (mr. I wear socks once and throw them away) is likely a HUGE azz.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I thought Dame and Rachel were friends for years before they got married. I don’t think she is a goldigger.

@ Daisy why do you feel that way? From what I heard. Dame was making big decisions for the co. without consulting with Jay. (Making Cam the president of def jam) and he wouldn’t give him his full publishing rights for Reasonable Doubts.

& I don’t know if you ever saw how Dame treated ppl but he was a real dyck. I feel this is his Karma..

they had been together for years ago. she’s kinda like kim porter in the aspect that she had his daughter in like 99 or 2000 (Ava) and the he dated Aaaliyah and when she passed they reunited. i doubt she was a complete gold digger since they’d been together so long, i cant speak on her intentions. and i remember correctly the wedding was done because Rachel almost broke out because he alledgely got some stripper pregnant.

but honestly dame dash doesnt seem like a pleasant person. he seems like a real jerk. everyone wants to divorce themselves from him.

@Isc I just felt they both could have handled the situation different. I bet Jay would have been ok with Jay calling the shots but not Dame which is what he was supposed to be doing. Alot of artist dont get their publishing. I am not a Dame fan never have been other than him clowning and dancing in videos. That is why I said I never saw what Aaliyah saw in him. I think BOTH Jay and Dame did their dirt. That’s all.

I believe they both done some wrong but at the end of the day jay wanted 100% control of rockafella and dame wasnt having that b/c he puts his all in that company. I think that dame can be misunderstood but an azz too. I d/k dame was hurt and thats why he kept the publishing to reasonable doubt which btw is jay-z classic album ever… I would have kept it too!!….

dame does seem like an azz….and i always thought him and rachel made an odd couple. they never showed any affection on their pictures, and they just didn’t look happy with each other.

I’m not getting this Rachel is a gold digger mess. Where and why would she be a gold digger? She was doing her thing before she got with Dame. Every attractive woman who is with a celebrity dude isn’t a gold digger or a trophy wife.

Dame does come off as an azz and I am the biggest Jay fan but I was/am definately riding with Dame and Bigg on the Roc split. I believe that Jay did them bogus after people started getting in his ear.

I remember Jay doing a interview and saying I just like to flow, Dame is the business man. He takes care of everything that I don’t want to deal with, he makes everything happen for us. He then starts doing deals behind their backs and projects they weren’t aware of. That’s bogus. I just remember Jay’s songs (especially Never Change) and it just really made me not respect his character.

Don’t blame it all on the gold diggers. These men date women who they know wouldn’t want them if they weren’t rich just because the woman looks good on their arm. The gold diggers and the men deserve what they get out of that deal. Dame is not cool peoples. The fact that she was with him at all told me she probably had some greed issues. Heck I though Aaliyah was an angel walking on earth until I found out she was dating Dame. That told me she was definately a flawed human.

Bird…I was just going to say this but you beat me to it. It goes both ways…some women are gold diggers but the men are only with them for their looks anyway…If the money goes, the woman is gone, but if she gets fat, the man is gone too…They’re both using each other for something.

Not saying that is what happened with Dame and Rachel, just in general.
