Surveillance footage used as evidence against former No Limit Records artist C Murder who was convicted of 2nd degree attempted murder in the 2002 death of 16-year-old Steve Thomas on May 27, 2009 and sentenced to ten years behind bars.

Sandra, you got this story a little mixed up. C-Murder has not yet gone to trial for the second time for the murder of the 16 year old. His most recent conviction was for attempted murder in the club shooting depicted in the video. He was successful in appealing the first murder conviction and is currently awaiting retrial. I think he’ll be a ripe old man before he sees the light of day again. At least he was blessed with house arrest for a couple of years after his conviction was thrown out. I hope he took that time to get his mind right and realize that thug sh*t is for suckas.

She sure did even though C-Murder was married at the time she was dating him. This was the period when Monica revealed to the world that she was straight ghetto and had been cleaned up for public consumption by the music industry not unlike Whitney Houston. Now see, I never knew he was married at the time. & Bird I agree with your assessment on the whole story. I found out when I read a S2S interview with her. I was like dang she is so hood. I was young at the time and didn’t really see it as a problem. She was also young so maybe now that she is older and a mom she has changed. Maybe.

I have witnessed growth from Monica just like MJB she was a straight HOODRAT as well and im sure she still has it in her but she is trying to have a better image these days.

Monica was young back then and her fans don’t seem to appreciate her growing up and maturing even in her music. I like it though.

C-murder didn’t get married until after he got out on house arrest for a retrial the first time. He married his baby moms…Monica had moved on by then….I think with Young Buck or somebody.

He is currently a criminal defendant charged with second degree murder in the 2002 death of 16-year-old Steve Thomas. Prior to April 5, 2005, he used the stage name C-Murder, and changed it to C. Miller. When asked why he chose the name, Miller has said “They call me C-Murder, cuz I see murder”; however, he has recently started using his former stage name of C-Murder once again.[1] He appears on Ludacris’ Release Therapy album on a song called “Do Your Time” (also featuring the late Pimp C and previously incarcerated rapper Beanie Sigel; he is credited as C-Murder). He is the brother of Master P and Silkk the Shocker, uncle of Romeo, and was at one time engaged to R&B singer Monica.

I remember when him and Monica use to date. I saw them together at Six Flags. All of the little kids were coming up to him asking for an autograph and asking him where Master P was. He looked like a grown man at the time and Monica looked like she was 12.

Nah. I’m just old. I’ve been an entertainment industry news enthusiast since I was like 11. As such I can assure you that C-Murder was married when he was dating Monica. His wife did interviews at the time it was going on which was long before he murdered that child.

As for Monica’s image, she was marketed as more of a wholesome teen as I guess they had to at that time. Mary was hood and her image was hood. Keyshia Cole is the same way. Their labels didn’t try to put them out as wholesome. Monica didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just that the image that was being projected at the time was not real.

She made it very clear that When her and C-murder seperated thats when he got married to a women named Dionne and she got with Jarvis( the Boyfriend that killed himself). It’s always been said that Dionne was behind the rumor of Monica messing with C-murder while he was married to her.

@ pointhimout- This is a different case, he was convicted on two counts of attempted murder here & He is still awaiting a retrial for the killing of the 16 year old boy. If I’m not mistaken this situation happened before the murder case.
