Earlier I wrote that singer/songwriter The Dream was named Executive Vice President of Def Jam replacing Chris Hicks who took over the job from the late Shakir Stewart. That was incorrect, according to The Dream.

About an hour ago, he tweeted this message on his Twitter account:

I did not replace him At DEF JAM he's the EVP of DEF JAM RECORDS and I AM EVP of ISLAND RECORDS.... To all being negative is out of style!

Singer/songwriter The Dream has been named Executive Vice President at Island Records, according to a message he posted on his Twitter account earlier today. The Dream will oversee development of new talent at the label.

The Dream thanked everyone at Island Records and his girlfriend Christina Milian, who is now completely brunette and almost forgotten. He wrote: "I look forward to the challenge of rebuilding music for not only Island Rec. But for Universal Records as a whole. Today I'm humbled and blessed."

He earlier promised to call it quits when his next album "Love King" is released. Hopefully, Island Record's artists won't adopt the singer's signature sound. All of The Dream's tracks sound exactly the same, which can get monotonous.

Another former Kool-Aid drinker is reformed:

Hi Sandra,

I have decided to stop drinking the Obama kool-aid. I am presently unemployed with no health insurance. It has been a tremendous struggle and "hope" is not paying my bills. This was the first year in many years that I had to cancel our family vacation. Long story short, we just couldn't afford it. Unfortunately, many of the families in my suburban neighborhood also decided not to travel to expensive locales. So what does Obama do? Spends over $50,000 a week just for LODGING on Martha's Vineyard.

Many people would love that to be their yearly salary right about now! This is beyond acceptable behavior from a president during a recession. And even if he wanted to personally "stimulate" the economy with his lavish trips, why go to a place with a population of 2% African American? Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, etc. were all cities that he promised change. What the hell did he promise Martha's Vineyard?

This time it's the old school rapper Too Short for whom I have much love. But today he's just another dumb rapper with a mugshot all over the Internets, courtesy of Five Oh.

From TMZ.com:

Cops say rapper Too Short was too far over the legal limit to be driving around Las Vegas this morning.

According to law enforcement, Short -- real name Todd Shaw -- was arrested for DUI, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, speeding and exhibition of power (burning rubber) by Las Vegas Metro Police at around 4:00 AM.

It's the second time Short's been popped for DUI -- in Las Vegas -- in the last three months.

Cops say the 43-year-old is still behind bars.

Remember back in the day when Madame Tussaud's wax figures looked so much like the real thing it was hard to tell them apart? Apparently, those days are long gone. Nowadays Tussaud's churns out wax dummies that don't look anything like the celebrity they are supposed to be. Serena Williams unveiled her new wax dummy at Madame Tussaud's in New York today. The dummy looks like Oprah on steroids.

According to CNN, a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the brutal murder of 61-year-old Pastor Carol Daniels.

The pastor's son, Alvin Daniels, said Daniels often traveled alone about 50 miles from her home to Anadarko, Oklahoma many Sundays hoping someone would come in and worship with her at Christ Holy Sanctified Church. Her church had no congregation.

He said his mother was "very cautious" and she usually left the door open "in case people came in to worship."

Police found Daniels' body inside the church around noon this past Sunday.

Jessica Brown, a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, said the body was "staged" in an unnatural position by the murderer. Police say Daniels suffered multiple stab wounds with a sharp object.

District Attorney Bret Burns called the crime scene inside the church the worst he's ever seen in his 17 years as a prosecutor. He described the scene as "horrific" but declined to elaborate on what he saw.

Police held a meeting with other pastors in the Anardarko area to urge them to have a security plan in place. So far police are being tightlipped about the case.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance tapes from businesses in the area around the church hoping to catch a glimpse of the killer. “The most they’ve gleaned from the tape so far is to give them a timeline of when she arrived,” Brown said.

The murder received national attention when Nancy Grace interviewed Alvin Daniels on her show yesterday. CLICK to watch the interview.

From ContactMusic.com:

Beyonce is facing legal action from a former PROJECT RUNWAY contestant who helped design the singer's costumes for her I AM... tour.

Chris March, the third runner-up in the fourth series of the hit reality TV series, is suing the singer and designer Thierry Mugler, the tour's creative adviser, after they allegedly failed to pay him for the extravagant stage outfits he helped make as head of costumes for the global trek, reports CocoPerez.com. March is seeking the $43,500 he claims he was promised.

Jaycee Lee Dugard, an 11-year-old California girl who was abducted from Lake Tahoe, California 18 years ago, has been found. Dugard was abducted on June 10, 1991 by two males from South Lake Tahoe in California. Police say a woman walked into an Antioch police station yesterday claiming to be the missing girl.

Local news footage shows a smiling woman who appears younger than 29 -- the age Dugard would be now. Police say the woman is healthy. I would post the video, but the site that the video was hosted on has apparently crashed due to all the traffic from other sites.

Dugard's mother, Terry Probyn, and stepfather, who separated due to the stress of their daughter's abduction, are "thrilled and amazed" that she has returned. Probyn is flying to California to meet with the woman who says she's her daughter.

There was no word on where she's been or what she's been doing for the last 18 years. According to Dugard's stepfather, two suspects have been arrested in the case. A press conference is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST today. If the woman turns out to be the missing girl, her return will give hope to the many families of missing and abducted children.
