Stars in their own right, actress Taraji P. Henson, singers Mary J Blige and Gladys Knight were spotted outside their hotels in NYC today. The celebs are in NYC to promote Tyler Perry’s new film which hits theaters on Friday, Sept. 11th — Taraji’s 38th birthday.

BUT they did 8 episodes per taping and I remember when I was there Father MC, Mary J. Blige and Al B Sure all performed. There were a lot of other folks but I can’t remember. I remember Al Jaurreau(sp) was there to.
Real Story: I went with a friend and we were standing at the front of the stage on the floor waiting for MJB to perform Real Love. Well Mary said she had gum in her mouth so someone ran off to get tissue to take her gum. Well they took to long and she spit on the ground behind the stage. This gay dude standing next to us was livid. He said he didn’t care who she was but she wouldn’t disrespect Soul Train like that!! LOL.
