AJ Jewell’s Death Ruled a Homicide
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office has officially ruled Ashley “AJ” Jewell’s death a homicide, according to TMZ.com.
The cause of death is listed as, “Physical altercation resulting in sickle cell trait related exertional collapse.” Contributing factors are listed as, “intestinal myocardial fidrosis,” (?) as well as an enlarged heart.
I’ve never heard of “intestinal myocardial fidrosis” I’m sure they meant “myocardial fibrosis” and someone just threw “intestinal” in there because it was a big word.
But it seems that Jewell died from sudden heart failure caused by overexertion due to his pre-existing conditions — an enlarged heart and sickle cell disease.
This is similar to when a football player with an undiagnosed enlarged heart drops dead on a football field.
Jewell died just hours after he was involved in an altercation with Frederick Richardson who co-managed The Body Tap strip club. Richardson was arrested in the days following Jewell’s death. He is currently free on bond.
Jewell appeared in a few episodes on Real Housewives of Atlanta season 2. He was engaged to cast member Kandi Burruss, but the couple ended their engagement in August.

Quinnipiac is out with a new poll that shows President Obama’s job approval is under 50% for the first time, at 48%.
Obama is still on the positive side, with just 42% thinking he is doing a poor job. But it is not good news for a President trying to push through a tough set of initiatives, with health care and revamping the Afghanistan war at the forefront.
“Although President Obama’s job approval rating is below 50% for the first time nationally, it is not statistically different from his 50% approval rating in October. Nevertheless, in politics symbols matter and this is not a good symbol for the White House,” said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. Read more…

Struggling pop singer Ciara was photographed leaving the Warren Trecomi Salon in West Hollywood yesterday wearing a new hairstyle.
If you recall, it was at that salon that Ciara got a touch up that exposed her thin edges that were eaten away by the lacefront adhesive that she uses to keep her lacefronts from flying away.
Unfortunately, we can’t see the new hairdo very well because of the low resolution of the images. I’ll see if I can find more pics online.
The Carter Documentary (the first 10 minutes)
You’ve probably seen the footage from Lil Wayne’s drug and syrup fueled “The Carter Documentary” straight to DVD. Here’s the first 10 minutes of the DVD produced by QD3.
To those of you who don’t know, QD3 is Quincy Jones’ only son. He started out as a kid tryng to be a rapper. When that failed he turned to producing and making beats for other rappers. When that failed he turned to film making. I’m guessing this is his first effort at a major DVD release?
In the opening scenes, QD3 muses that Lil Wayne is “the voice of his generation” who was put here on earth as a “bizarre” gift from God. I’ll agree with that description.
According to QD3:
“You can’t write a character like Lil Wayne. He exists because God sometimes decides he wants to create something bizarre and amazing.
Rihanna Wearing Her LV Fanny Pack in London
Rihanna is still in my hometown of London, England breathing fresh air and enjoying the sights. The paparazzi caught up with her leaving her London hotel with that cute Louis Vuitton fanny pack that only celebs of her VIP status can get their hands on.
I see RiRi still has that suspicious bump on her head. A loyal reader emailed me yesterday and seemed to suggest that Rihanna is a alcoholic. He asked why I don’t highlight pics of Rihanna’s drunken stupors like I do with that alcoholic Beyonce. But I’ve never seen pictures of Rihanna drunk. Have you?
Obama Bows Again
I don’t understand Barack Obama’s motives. After all the controversy his bowing before foreign leaders has caused, he does it again. This time he bowed before an elementary school student during a photo op. I guess Obama thinks teaching children to appear subservient and weak to others is a good look?
Update:
President Obama bowed to President Hu Jintao in China at a town hall meeting. At the one minute mark, Hu bows his head slightly to Obama who reciprocates not once but three times ending with a deep bow.
Celeb Style: Gabby Sidibe (What The Hail Happened?)
Here I was defending newcomer and star of ‘Precious’ Gabby Sidibe from heartless readers who mocked her personal style — and then she does this? Everything is wrong with these pics. The dress, the lacefront, the fish oil makeup — all wrong! How does this happen to a woman who is so sweet? Obviously her stylist (if she has one) has it in for her.
