Tyra Banks Bites Oprah Again; Says Goodbye To Talk Show
Talk show Diva Tyra Banks is biting Oprah again after Oprah made a headline grabbing announcement that her popular talk show would end its run in 2011 (two years from now).
Tyra, who has been accused of biting Oprah’s ideas such as her popular “favorite things” show, is now announcing the end of The Tyra Show.
“This will be the last season of The Tyra Show,” Banks tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”
Wrapping at the end of its fifth season in the spring of 2010, it will be lights out for the show that brought viewers memorable weave-exposing, cellulite-revealing and tear-jerking moments.
Banks will focus on the launch of Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company currently reviewing possible projects. Sticking to her mission, Banks aims to bring “positive images of women to the big screen,” says an industry insider.
“My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are,” Banks says. Read More…
Apparently, Tyra misses life in general and is tired of the daily grind of a TV talk show. There’s no mention of her ratings as the primary reason for her show’s ending.

When is the last time someone watched that show? She has the most absurd topics, the corniest guests. She is too goofy. I saw it one night when 50 CENT was up there, she was such a freaking groupie. Now if we could get rid of ANTM, we will be all good.

Tyra sucks! Good riddance to bad rubbish. She is way too extra, her guests (cast) are horrible actors and many of her shows were very jenny jones/ ricky lake-ish.

i didnt really watch her show but i thought she was trying to do the Oprah thing but for younger women. i agree, she biting Oprah. guess we can expect another “Precious” movie soon

Different Guest: I grew up very poor and had to sleep in train stations, gas stations and for 5 yrs the only way I could bath was washing up in the bathroom of a gas station and mcdonald’s. I ate out of the trash on a regular basis

Good morning all! I’m really gonna miss her show. Even though I loved it, her shows got kinda boring and redundant.
I thought I was then only one who got annoyed when tyra would make every topic abt her…lol I wish her the best though!

Awww Tyra! I knew her show might come to and end when they moved to regular time to another and chaned channels on her. I didn’t know where she went until I found her at 4p one day on a whole different station. Well good luck to her with what ever she comes up with next!:shrugs:
Well Bankable got $$$ not big movie money but some and she can borrow…I likey..we need more viable black production companies to get us out there.
