Kanye West Discusses the Taylor Swift Incident On ‘Ellen’
Kanye West appeared on the ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ today to promote his “Runaway” 40-minute movie, which he premiered in LA last night.
Kanye, who contemplated suicide after his mother died, told Ellen that he moved overseas on the advice of rapper Mos Def following the Taylor Swift/ VMAs gaffe last year.
He said when he returned to the states from his self-imposed exile, he lived in Hawaii for 6 months to focus on his music.
Kanye told Ellen that as a result of the backlash he would never sit in the audience at an awards show again.
“Just for your whole world to completely crash off of a.. a moment of sincerity or alcohol… or whatever it is,” said Kanye.
“Those don’t usually go together,” said Ellen as her audience chuckled. “Usually the alcohol rules out the sincerity part.”

West Coast….I had been unmedicated for 10 years but just recently decided to go back on meds bc the panic attacks were getting worse.

Redeemed he gave an interview awhile back and said he.was mad that God let his mother die, which is understandable for a grieving person
I’ve lost faith before after losing someone dear to me, now my faith returned once I worked through the pain. He needs to get through the hurt he’s feeling and then hell be alright.
But I don’t understand why people keep bringing up Jesus Walks like it was gospel, yeah he talked about Jesus in one song on an album full of stuff that contradicts Jesus’s message. Kanye is not now, never has been and probably never will be a gospel rapper. He’s a man with issues like we all have who got put on a pedastel and then knocked off it cause he got drunk and dared speak against a poor little white girl. It should’ve never been this big of a deal or went on this long but he will come back from it imo

Seriously, people don’t talk about the same thing all the time. Have you purchase every single one of his CD,s? I have. Have you listen to every single song? I have. He doesn’t have to rap about Jesus in all of his songs, just like how I don’t have to talk about Jesus in everything I post, just because I am a believer. That goes for you too, but to each his own. Ellen’s show is one of the only shows that he will even give an interview to. Ellen is non judgemental, and she understands him. She said so herself. The way Kanye talks is how he talks, and you can tell that way back when in the Basement.
