PICS: BET Hip Hop Awards 2010 (red carpet and inside)

Singer Trey Songz attended the 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards at the Atlanta Civic Center yesterday. Industry insiders couldn’t stop whispering about how the biggest names in Hip Hop (Jay Z, Drake, T.I., etc.) either didn’t bother to show up or they didn’t perform.

We know why T.I. didn’t attend, but where was Jay Z? He can show up for every mainstream (read: Caucasian) event, but he can’t pay homage to BET, who basically put his black azz on the map when he was a nobody? At least Sean Combs showed up and performed.

Thank God Keri Hilson showed up or the evening would have been a complete waste. I’m kidding of course.

Nicki Minaj won 3 trophies, but she didn’t perform due to technical difficulties with the track that she was supposed to lip sync to. They say that Nicki attended a private lesbun house party in Atlanta over the weekend. But I wasn’t invited though.

If it wasn’t for Waka Flocka’s hit song “No Hands,” I wouldn’t know who Rosco Dash (right) was.

They say music mogul Devyne Stephens, left, wined and dined singer Kelly Rowland all weekend. I believe it too. If anybody can wine and dine a woman and make her feel like the queen that she is, it’s that man. His ends are endless, and he’s extremely generous (I know this first hand!) That’s rapper Nelly on the right.

Reginae Carter (Lil Wayne’s daughter), Cash Money CEO Baby (center) and his daughter Briana.

Salt ‘N Pepa legends Sandra “Pepa” Denton, and the very beautiful DJ Deidra “Dee Dee” Roper (Spinderella) were in attendance.

Queen Latifah’s better half, personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins, walked the black carpet. She looks fabulous! They say she hosted a private lesbun house party over the weekend. I didn’t get an invite though.

It looks like both rappers Gucci Mane (above) and Waka Flocka (not pictured) buy their gaudy diamond chips and gold flakes jewelry from the same source.

I guess all the hoodrats and strippers will be begging their Dope boy sponsors for Fendi bags now that there’s a Fendi store inside Lenox mall.

yeah antione dobson tall as hell he was like 2 seats down from me. the show over all wasnt as good as previous years. i think stephen hill said it best though you can talk about the hiphop awards but its the biggest awards show dedicated exclusively to hiphop so its only what the artist make it. if they not participating then you have to work with what you got. i think they will rebound next year..wayne will be out of jail they probably get jay to maybe perform and drake. t.i if he dont get in trouble again and even kanye. they hypest part to me probably is digital underground when they close the show.
