BREAKING: Wyclef Shot in Haiti
According to celebrity blogger Karen Civil:
Haitian hip hop star Wyclef Jean just got shot in Delmas Haiti. This news just came in from Haiti, armed gunmen opened fire at Wyclef’s car. Jean was in the car with Busta Rhymes, Jimmy Rosemond and other members of his entourage. No other passengers in the vehicle were injured.
Pras confirms on Twitter: Yes they shot Wyclef and he’s in the hospital and he’ll be fine. They just shot his hand.
Wyclef is in stable condition and is currently being treated in Haiti Hospital for his wound. Minutes before election day and this is going to be the highlight of tomorrow’s election.
Isn’t Jimmy Rosemond the same dude who was implicated in the Tupac Shakur shooting case? Hmmm.

This wyclef story gets a *side eye* from me. He should have just released peen pics like everyone else if he needed attention, and the pics with his hand bandaged up are pathetic. MLK and Malcom were murdered.

I used to work at several banks and that’s kind of true. They pay your bigger purchases first so that you can overdraft on a bunch of little sh*t. If you have $200 in the bank, and you pay an $175 bill, and make 12 purchases of $3 each. They’ll pay the $175 bill first so that they can hit you with OD fees 5x for the little $3 buys, instead of paying the $3 purchases first so you incur ONE OD fee for the $175.
I used to have explain that to people who’s account would miraculously have 7-8 OD fees for purchases under $10 all the time.

That bill is mostly for credit card companies, not banks who can work through debit. And the number of OD fees is limited as of like 2 years ago. I think they have to cap it at no more than 4-5 per day.
When I was working at the banks- 2006-2008, they were racking those OD fees up like crazy.

I’m with Wachovia and I have that thing where for every purchase I make, they put an extra $1 into my “Way 2 Save” account. And that account serves as my OD protection for my main checking so they just balance each other out. I used to transfer that $$ back into my checking once a week, now I haven’t touched it in well over 300 purchases ago…I’m kinda proud. Going to see how long I can let it build.

I keep all of my receipts and at restaurants, I write down what I paid on the tip and total on the “merchant” and customer copy so, I KNOW if they get stupid with it. I keep all of my receipts until they clear the bank and I go over my account every morning before 9 AM (except on weekends.)

Yeah- some banks charge you for moving the cash from your savings to checking for OD protection. What bank are you with? If you have a “Way to Save” or “Keep the Change” account like at Wachovia or BofA, they should use that account as your OD protection for FREE. No charge for moving the money over.

Yeah, that’s the going rate for overdraft protection. $10 is better than $36 I guess. I found that if I catch that charge on the same day and go transfer the money from the savings myself, they will put back what they transferred and take off the fee. But u have to be on top of it to catch it. You need an accountant? I’m available….for a fee.

Greendot works just like a debit card with a bank the bank is Columbus Trust I get direct deposit and everything Im about to get another one for my car note only. I went back to BofA from Wachovia. Hated the customer service. It all depends on what problems you’ve had with either that determines whether or not you like one or the other. BofA always gave me my money back. Some ba$tard was shopping in Oakland, CA with my debit card #. Tried to spend $200 at walmart. They called, emailed, and texted me within minutes to alert me. They knew it couldn’t be me, I had just purchased lunch at my job. Can’t get from GA to CA in 30 mins.

But my ex takes the cake. He farted (was too major to be a poot) in his sleep, the smell woke me up out of my sleep, and I thought there was a sewage backup in the basement or a gas eye on. I was truly terrified that his house was going to blow up.
O’on know what kind of fart this was, but I woke him up, asked him did he do it, he said no, so we commenced to check the basement and the kitchen stove. I was walking around with my scarf sagging over one eye.

That happened to me too when I was there. We were in Chinatown and my stomach started rumbling. I had to buy something in order to get in the bathroom line at Burger King. It was like 10 ppl in line and I was about to die. The bathroom was already underground and the roof was only about 5 ft tall. When I tell u that was the most disgusting feeling ever!!! I was like plz let’s go so I can go to the hotel and shower. I felt so unsanitary.

Try eating apples. Everytime I eat an apple, I have to go within an hour or so. It’s a good fiber source. I try to eat 1-2 apples a day to keep my regular.
