Barnes & Noble wants this man to keep his shirt on
Two major U.S. book retailers have issued directives to their stores to wrap the covers of this month’s Dossier magazine in opaque plastic. The retailers fear that the cover photo of 19-year-old, half naked male model Andre Pejic, with his bird chest and 2-pack abs, will offend housewives who might think he’s a 12-year-old girl.
Although there are other magazines on the shelves featuring shirtless men in all manner of undress, Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstores believe that this particular magazine cover will offend because “the model is young and [he] could be deemed as a naked female.”
Dossier co-founder and creative director Skye Parrott was shocked at the retailers’ directive to forfeit the magazine orders or agree to be censored.
She told Jezebel.com: “We knew that this cover presented a very strong, androgynous image, and that could make some people uncomfortable. That’s partly why we chose it. I guess it has made someone pretty uncomfortable.”
She added: “What message are the big bookstore chains sending — that the male torso is only appropriate all-ages viewing when the man in question is ripped?”
Male model Pejic, who was discovered in his native Australia flipping burgers at Burger King, says his androgynous looks makes him feel more female than male sometimes.
“I’m sure most people think of me as a woman. It doesn’t bother me anymore and I feel fine about it… I don’t consider my looks unusual.”
Mariah and Nick Leave the Hospital
As you know, new parents Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon left UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California on Saturday (May 14) with their 14-day-old twins. The couple left the hospital under the cover of night, surrounded by tight security and using elaborate security measures to prevent the paparazzi camped outside from getting shots of the newborns. The children were swathed in blue and pink blankets in the back seat of their Rolls Royce Phantom.
Mariah, who reportedly underwent a tummy tuck after delivering her twins via C-section, wore black Tori Burch sandals, while Nick’s size 13 feet were clad in Timberland boots.
According to RadarOnline.com, Mariah is still under scrutiny from Child Protective Services. A CPS social worker is investigating Mimi after receiving a complaint that she was drinking beer and popping pain pills while nursing her babies. Cannon explained that Mariah was advised to drink Guinness Stout beer to stimulate the production of milk in her breasts. But the beer story had holes in it from the start, given the fact that Mariah has breast implants.
The CPS worker will make one final 30-minute home visit with the Cannons before closing the case — after sneaking a hidden camera inside.

Oprah Winfrey: ‘Dying 12-year-old boy told me to end my show’
Those of you who suspected eccentric TV talk show Guru Oprah Winfrey was a little crazy, just might have a point there.
Oprah, 57, has revealed the real reason why she’s ending her wildly popular ‘Oprah Show’ after only 25 years on the air.
In an editorial published in her ‘O’ magazine this month, Oprah revealed that a dying 12-year-old boy told her to end her show at the 25-year mark.
…Winfrey says that Mattie Stepanek – a child author who had a rare form of muscular dystrophy – told her that she should end the Oprah show only after it had been on the air for 25 years. He sent her the e-mail in May 2003, 13 months before he died at the age of 13.
Winfrey, 57, says: ‘At the 20-year mark, I was almost certain that the time was finally right to call it a day (although I was uncertain about what to do next.)
‘That’s when I received an e-mail from Mattie Stepanek.
Winfrey has published the entire e-mail that Stepanek wrote to her from his hospital bed. In it he told the millionaire: ‘I know that you are planning to retire your show on its 20th anniversary. ‘It is my opinion that you should wait to stop your daytime show on its 25th anniversary. Let me explain why.
‘Twenty-five makes more sense to me, partially because I am a bit OCD [obsessive compulsive] and 25 is a perfect number.’ Source

Stoudemire partied with 15 male friends at Prime One Twelve in South Beach. But when the group went to party at club Cameo, Ciara met up with her basketball beau, who danced alongside her all night. Sources said that while Stoudemire kept his focus on his lady, security guards had to shoo away female admirers who tried in vain to get his attention. Source
Brandy and Akon’s former manager is on the lam from the law
According to the NY Post’s Page Six, the former manager of singers Akon and Brandy, Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond, is on the lam from the law.
A Federal arrest warrant is out for hip-hop mogul Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond, who manages Brandy, Sean Kingston and Akon. Sources say the warrant was issued last week for the Czar Entertainment chief after he was indicted for alleged involvement in cocaine distribution, and he has yet to be located. A law enforcement official confirmed that a fugitive warrant is out for Rosemond. His lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, said, “Although a federal prosecutor has told me that there is an arrest warrant out, they have refused to provide me with the warrant or a copy of the charges.”
Rosemond also managed rapper The Game, singers Groove Theory and Mario Winans, among others. He’s most notable for being accused of setting up rapper Tupac Shakur, who was shot multiple times during a botched robbery at a New York recording studio in November 1994. 2Pac survived his wounds only to be assassinated in Las Vegas in September 1996.
Rosemond also made the news in 2005 when G-Unit rapper Tony Yayo was arrested and charged with assault for smacking Rosemond’s then 14-year-old son, Lil Henchman.
Arnold Schwarzenegger: ‘I fathered a love child with my maid’
By now many of you know about former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s separation from his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver (of the Kennedy dynasty). You didn’t bat an eye when you read that he’d cheated on his wife by the 3rd year into their marriage.
In the days before Shriver, 55, and Schwarzenegger, 63, announced their separation, he admitted to her that he’d fathered a love child with a former household staff member — about 10 years ago.
Schwarzenegger, who sired four children with Shriver, released this statement to the media yesterday:
“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.”
I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not.”
Well, at least he’s honest.

Maria Shriver just released a statement, according to the LA Times.
Saying Schwarzenegger’s admission was “painful and heartbreaking,” Shriver added: “As a mother my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment.”

Child Protective Services in San Francisco launched an investigation last week after Kerry Campbell went on “Good Morning America” and told the world she gave her daughter Britney the anti-wrinkle injections herself … to help her compete in beauty pageants.
According to ABC News, Britney has been removed from the home by CPS and taken into their custody while an investigation is conducted.
Britney is reportedly “doing well.”
