Jay Z, Amber Rose and others refused to clap for Chris Brown

After Chris Brown’s less-than-stellar performance at last night’s MTV VMAs, everyone stood up and applauded — except for Jay Z.

According to TMZ.com, everyone from Kanye to Bieber stood up and cheered for CB. But Jay-Z, Amber Rose and most of the White people in the room stayed in their seats.

It was a stunning and powerful statement of their disapproval of Chris Brown.

Not everyone in Hollywood is willing to accept Brown back into the fold. Not just because of his immature actions in 2009, but for his behavior in the years afterwards as well.

Jay is the man who discovered Rihanna — and he still considers her a little sister. So, it was clear that Jay Z still isn’t willing to forgive and forget what happened when CB beat Rihanna down in 2009.

Kudos to Jay Z for being a REAL MAN and standing up for a woman, even though she doesn’t respect herself.

Though he is troubled we must pratice forgiveness. We’re not perfect and we’ve all made mistakes. His are just public. Hopefully he’s getting help and moving forward.

Funny….I saw plenty of white people standing and applauding. Who really gives a fvck if Amber did or not. Chris had maybe the best performance of the night imo

Kanye standing up and dancing and cheering for Chris lets me know that he’s his own man. He doesn’t not like Chris because Jay has issues with him. Oh how I love people who stand on their own and not follow……

Really? Chris can sing? Didn’t know! I thought he just whined on tracks. Chris can dance but when I’m listening to his music I can’t see him dancing all I hear is someone trying to sing. I love Jay-Z!…Maybe I’m reading too much into this but by sitting down I think he was showing his lack of respect for Chris brown

@tainted yes I think Chris can sing I didn’t say sang. I could give a rats azz abt Jay disrespecting Chris or not  Jay can do him just like Chris is doing him. Life goes on for both and Chris shouted out Jay n Bey on twitter last night #growth

@shuany and that is one of the reasons I LOVE Yeezy!!! He shouted out Wayne too he aint getting caught up in how Jay does/doesnt feel abt the next man

wow jay a real man b/c he didn’t stand up for chris brown. this is a real man that still wears clothing like he is 20 something with pants hanging off his arse and rocking a hat inside and most of his songs are calling his “so called wife” a word that ryhmes with witch and he is considering a real man. Wow standards for a real man are low now a days huh?

    Bird says:

Maybe Jay just wasn’t impressed like some of us have expressed ourselves. I ain’t gonna stand up for him just because everyone else is if I didn’t like it. That would be fake. But I also felt Kanye’s endorsement was an extension of Jay. Like Kayne’s cheering for him and even mentioning him on stage was Jay’s way of saying, “aight lil nigra. I’ma let you live now.”

BTW, where was Rhianna? I thought she was supposed to be there. Was she?

Funny people want to keep hating Chris for something that happened in 2009, but Charlie has been acting a fool for years and White hollywood has excepted him back even gave him a brand new show on TV!!

    ****************

Now see, I actually think Chris can SANG. He dang sure ain’t no Ciara in the vocal department. If he wants to be like his idol he’s gonna have to figure out how to do both live. Sing first and then do some dance moves during an interlude or at the end. But at no time do I want him to come out for a performance on TV and just dance.

a shame jay z couldn’t be more forgiving. I mean didn’t he, in his younger days shoot his relative? and wasn’t he accussed of stabbing a producer or something back in the day? I can’t stand people that become so much better than people that they can’t forgive them, once they overcome their own issues

Something about seeing a 40 plus year old man sitting front row @an awards show,w/ a Tshirt and baseball hat, doesn’t sit well with me….. When Jay-Z was younger and infusing his community with drugs he noone is holding him accountable for it to date. Why wont he just allow Chris to be Great, Live and learn from his mistake. (After all the young man still has to live with a felony that will follow him for the rest of his life).. You too Sandra, stop being so hard on Chris, he mad a mistake, he paid for it and still will to some degree for the rest of his life!

    Trendsetter says:

Jay Z didn’t clap for Chris because of that Rihanna ish…he still upset about that. Amber Rose is realy a non factor in this situation.

To me I think Chris did extremely well. Chris is bery talented in the DANCING area..singing he sounds ok..but I must say he is a great dancer.

I think I’m going to log off this blog for the rest of the day…because all of the posts are really irritating me…(maybe its because I’m 33 weeks pregnant, and evrything irritates me)

CB’s talent speaks for itself. If he were talentless he would not have rose to the top again, plain and simple. As long as he has fans like myself and obviously many others, it really doesn’t matter what Sandra, Hov or some others think about him. What’s that saying? “If nobody hating, then you ain’t doing nothing.” Just my 2 cents.

    mistarie says:

And who cares if Amber Rose didn’t clap. I CLEARLY remember that hoe being ALL up in his face at Diddy’s white party a few months after the “incident” happened. So she can miss me with all that judgemental shyt she’s doing right now. How about, instead of focusing on Chris, she go make a burger run for her man, so he can stop looking like a pencil with a multi colored eraser on top. :coffee:
