Phylicia Rashad, who played TV mom Claire Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” is criticizing reality TV moms for exploiting their children.
More specifically, Rashad is going after mothers like Kris Jenner, the “demanding” matriarch of reality TV’s Kardashian clan.
From Page Six:
On Tuesday’s “The Steve Harvey Show,” she snubbed the likes of Kardashian momager Kris Jenner, “Honey Boo Boo”’s Mama June and the ladies of “The Real Housewives Of New Jersey.”
“I don’t know mothers who act like that,” Rashad said. “Do I really want to sit here and watch that? Is this what I want to do with the moments of this life?”
Rashad’s ex-husband, Ahmad Rashad, is also in the headlines lately. The 68-year-old former NFL star is embroiled in a nasty divorce from his filthy rich wife.
According to the NY Post, Rashad’s estranged wife, Sale Johnson, banned him from their home in an affluent subdivision in Jupiter, Fla.
So Rashad did her one better, he had her banned from the exclusive, residents-only Frenchman’s Creek Beach country club, located just across the street, where she loves to go golfing with her high-society girlfriends.
It seems Rashad owns a home in Frenchman’s Creek Beach country club where he and Sale once housed their domestic staff during happier times.
The Post explains that Rashad booted the domestic staff out of the home and he moved back in, so he can claim residency at the country club — and keep Johnson out.
Now Johnson plans to buy a home inside the country club so she can circumvent Rashad’s ban.
According to the Post, homes at Frenchman’s Creek Beach country club range from $500K to $5 million.
